Do people not realize Maxey was the best player in the playoffs last year for the 76ers over Embiid. I think PG would rather play with Maxey than Harden if Kawhi is always injured

I don't understand the love for Kwahi, this guy never plays basketball, screwed over San Antonio, basically screwed over Toronto, and continuing to screw over the clippers and Steve ballmer
Agree he screwed over the Spurs. Raptors knew he was a one-year rental and he brought them their first championship, so he certainly didn't screw them over. And Balmer knew the injury risk from the beginning.
People dont understand how good Kawhi is. Can you imagine saying with Kawhi will not be able to contend cos its just him on the team But then say having PG and Kawhi are a superteam. Also, they keep saying Kawhi faked an injury Then they say, he is playing for the money. If the Olympics was in may june, he will be injured. If postseason was olympic month, Kawhi would be available
Mismanaged?? How many various all stars and championship coaches have they brought in the past 5 years? At a certain point the players need to be held accountable.
How is this possible? The Clippers have had a winning record for 13 straight seasons. No other team in the league can say that. Yes, they never won anything and they have underperformed. but to say they are the worst manage team is so crazy. You look at teams like the Hornets and Pistons and still day that. I get it, everyone hates the Clippers. Its an easy team to hate, but let's not pretend like they haven't been a great franchise for over a decade now.
Worst isn't a reflection of purely results, but considering the talent they've had, the hype they've garnered, and their future prospects, yes, they definitely are in the running for "worst managed franchise". If for nothing else, being so desperate that they caved to Kawhi's demands to get PG demonstrated their weakness. Then signing the two most overrated players in NBA history (Harden and Westbrick) were bad. Now, they straight up picked Harden and Kawhi over PG. They should have signed Kawhi to a contract that had heavy incentives, given PG a better contract option and let Harden go. Now, they've got two guys that are famous for coming up short when they're needed the most.
@@brushylake4606 feel pretty confident that every team would have made the deal to get both Kawhi and PG. Of course they have always underdelivered but not because of management. It has been injuries to Blake, CP, Kawhi, and PG. They signed Westbrook for the minimum, bad take to say that's a bad signing. I do think the Harden trade felt a bit forced. But again, what does management do? Stay mediocre for the past 13 years? NBA is a players league, teams always meet their demands. This isn't the NFL. So you think the Clippers would have been better off being a bad/mediocre team over the past decade than make the trades they made? Most teams aren't built through the draft anymore..other than maybe the Celtics with JB and Tatum, most teams are made through trades and free agent signing. So I don't think the future has been sacrificed.

Milwaukee, Indiana, Atlanta, Minnesota, Cleveland, Houston, the LA Lakers, and Knicks are some of the teams that traded away 3 1st round picks for short term success in recent years, and could potentially find themselves in a similar situation, so I really don't agree with how the PG13 trade was a bad idea at the time, when thewe other teams did the same thing. The PG13-Kawhi era was a failure but only because Kawhi was never healthy...
They traded away SGA and the picks that became Tre Mann, Jalen Williams and Jaime Jacquez for Paul George, who left the Clippers with nothing by departing as a free agent. That’s pretty bad.
NY and Houston are big to great sized markets so it won’t hurt in the long run, Milwaukee and Indiana do not care bc they never get high lottery picks so when they don’t even draft that good majority of the time, they legit do not care as they are teams that prefer trading players anyway bc of their smaller markets. Minnesota is a team that has proven itself (more than the Clippers have tbh) to be a major team to stay in the west regardless of what happens. The only ones that are really going to truly hurt from this RIGHT when one single domino falls is Atlanta and Cleveland, especially if Cleveland messes up this Garland trade.
The Lakers and Bucks at least have a championship to show for it. Kawhi was healthy that first year but they choked after being up 3-1 so no “bubble” excuse
@@nocturne311SGA wouldnt develop the same, and the Clippers scouts suck so they probably wouldnt have picked those players anyway. They were in a win now mode at the time and it made sense to get BOTH PG+Kawhi (a fact alot of people forget when they see this trade)
Little known fact to many that aren’t Spurs fans. The team’s doctors were actually correct in diagnosing his degenerative knee injury. And they said he is eligible to play because there is literally nothing you can do about it. He not only went to go to another doctor who told him the SAME thing but a third as well. All the while keeping quiet and letting uncle Dennis and his entourage rile up the media and start this unnecessary hate against the organization. To this day, I still don’t think Kawhi is the type to sit out. All of his scouting reports coming into the draft and of his former teammates say he is a gym rat. Loves the game. Clippers have to be considering some sort of trade at this point to recoup their losses.
I'm a Lakers fan and hate the Spurs and would've been eager to clown your organization for how that went down but looking into it... The way Kawhi conducted himself during that says a lot about him imo. He stays quiet and doesn't broadcast anything about himself but he's low-key a snake. I don't buy for a second Uncle Dennis did all that without his knowledge.
They need to move back to San Diego. Moving to San Diego will allow them to establish their identity and get from under the Lakers shadow. No matter how many chips they win they will always be the Lakers little brother.
as a Heat fan, I'm not even bothered that PG went to the Sixers. Historically, Paul george chokes when it really matters. When teams trade you multiple times or you want to go somewhere else after signing a contract, I have to question your commitment. (cough) Harden (cough)
The Kawhi-PG13 era at least brought half a decade of entertaining basketball with some winning seasons and a conference Final birth, something most teams haven't gotten in the last five years. And the fact they had four LA-hometown big names on their team was great for marketing and building the fanbase. It is only because of Kawhi's untimely playoffs injuries that this team didn't reach greater success.
Clippers have been cursed for leaving Buffalo the way they did. Break the curse by having a proper farewell game in Buffalo and allow Buffalo to raise the number 11 of Bob McAdoo to the rafters in the Buffalo arena
Clippers should've taken the GSW deal. They could've at least gotten picks & some role players back Especially trading away all that real estate for PG. Yikes.
Absolutely. Spurs doctors were right about his degenerative knee problem. He either plays through it or he needs to retire. It will never get better unfortunately. He didn’t like hearing that though, can’t blame him but it’s truth 🤷
@@GhostofMcNabb What I can blame him for is lying to the organization and fans, leaving his teammates high and dry, and not living up to his contractual obligations. I wish I had a job where I didn't have to show up for work, didn't have to show a doctors note, and still got paid.
This is more cursed or jynxed. He just won a championship with Toronto with one of the best playoffs in recent memory. So he was fully fit and played like an all time MVP. Would anyone really call this a bad trade at the time? Be honest. PG13 also was generally fit except for here and there. Westbrook signed a minimum, was a leader, and excellent facilitator and rebounder. His scoring obviously has become inconsistent. I thought they can win. If Kawhi can play 68 games and then get injured its more bad luck as opposed to previous years.

Can't agree with this less. The worst managed team in history would have to be one that traded away a title (picks that became Tatum Brown and Derrick White) for 2 36 year olds, then botched another title (KD/Kyrie/Harden). That trade was made to acquire an NBA champion coming off an all time playoff run, and a guy who'd just finished in the top 3 of MVP and DPOY-a team that's historically one of the league's worst makes that deal 10/10 times. It was only ever going to age one of two ways. It having gone the 2nd way doesn't make it a bad trade. Have to imagine they knew the risk was there.
And after the Clippers won Game 4, one NIU student shouted out loud “F*** the Clips!”, so that ignorant student had to jinx the Clippers and they lost the next two games and the series to the Mavericks because of him. If any NIU student EVER jinxes the Clippers again, there’s going to be a big problem.
As a Raptors fan and 6ix native, I have no doubt that if Kawhi stayed, then the Raptors would've repeated, or maybe even got a 3-peat. But I guess some players are just stupid 🙃
I’m a Raptors fan as well, but I disagree. I think we dodged a bullet, based on what happened after he went to the Clippers. We also got the best possible outcome: won a championship with him and avoided all the injury issues he had after that year.
Not only that the clippers also missed the opportunity to draft GG jackson and Toumani camara they are really such good players that would have helped the clippers most of the players the clippers drafted are already almost 25 years old in Kobe Brown and Jordan Miller. Brown and miller would be already 25 years old respectively next season
Clippers biggest failures that killed this team is the lack of effort in drafting. 2019 clippers took Kabengele over Claxton, Poole, Keldon. 2021 took Preston over herb jones and Ayo. 2023 which was the biggest mistake is passing up GG Jackson. It shows that building through the draft and not always doing fancy moves is the way to build a team.. clippers was just flat out reckless
At this point it's the Clippers. Wolves got a Young Superstar in Antman who they can always build around. Clipps got nobody lol. Should've traded PG to the GSW. Get them picks back & role players around Kawhi & Harden. But instead they let him walk after trading all that real estate to get him. Clippers so poorly managed.
It worked out well for us. We got a chip and then avoided all the injury issues he had after that year. The Raptors dodged a bullet, and got a ring out of it - no complaints

Kawhi had it all in Toronto but got greedy
Got greedy cause he wanted to go home?
He wanted it be close to home. How’s is that bein greedy?
Naw he had a choice between living in Toronto or LA and like any sane person he took LA over Toronto
as a Toronto native, the dude just wanted to be home and I don’t blame him.
You say this as if playing somewhere he didn't want to live would have magically made his knee stop degenerating.
If any trade requires giving up pretty much a whole decade's worth of draft picks, especially 1st rounders, that trade isn't worth it. You might just be better off letting your player walk and get nothing back. Draft picks mean possibilities.
I agree, unless youre getting a superstar mid prime i.e. 27-29 y/o id never
I agree, the raptors got Kawhi with 1 first round pick and none of their young guys. Brilliant
Playoff P, The System Harden, and Westbrick is what the Clippers chose to give Kawhi. Not sure if it would have been more helpful to put Kawhi’s feet in a bucket of cement…🤣🤣🤣
The Clippers are a cursed franchise. They’ve had all this talent (CP3, Blake Griffin, Deandre Jordan, JJ Reddick, Jamal Crawford, Kawhi, Paul George, James Harden.) Yet can’t do a damn thing with them. Regular season or playoffs. They’re always injured and they always come up short.
putting JJ on that list of names is criminal
Tf jj doing on there
Toronto got more from 1yr of Kawhi than the Clips got after 5+ years
Also anything positive about his career in the NBA will be his time with the Raptors. How ironic the same team he could not wait to get away from
I told y'all this Kawhi-PG duo will not work out the moment they blew a 3-1 lead against Denver
Acting like this was such a bold take
@@joefrankenstein5553 right, everyone knew this 😭

they blew it year one but 4 straight years of injuries need to be acknowledged as TERRIBLE luck.

Now @UrinatingTree needs to do a Legacy of Failure on this franchise.
Mike korzemba did one kind of awhile back. He definitely needs to update it
Not until Kawhi bails out

_Will the Clippers ever build a great homegrown team that can at least reach a Finals one day?_
No
Best homegrown type team they made was lob city.
I wonder how many games Embiid and PG are gonna play together in the post-season with the injury history.
See, this is why sometimes it's easy being a Kings fan. The bar is so low, that even a play-in spot is considered success 😅
I mean they went to the conference finals for the first time and they had that core together for 5 yrs. I think the only problem is last year trading all those picks for Harden.
PG, KD, Westbrook, Harden, CP3 just need to accept who they are and just stay on the same team together
Going to form the retirement team on the lakers haha
Do people not realize Maxey was the best player in the playoffs last year for the 76ers over Embiid. I think PG would rather play with Maxey than Harden if Kawhi is always injured
Ok? And?
I remember how the media was blowing up the moment news came out that Kawhi and PG were going to the clippers, talking about how “they already won the championship before the season even started”. Those days are long gone
Yep that included Andy hoops are other NBA RUclipsrs as well
They had Shai..
Paul George thinks anyone cares that he left. I didn’t even know he played in the nba anymore
Cba rule is a thing and if he stay clippers will got the second apron that will limit their move
The buffalo bills and clippers both just need to move their franchises to different cities because they just have the worst luck
When you think about it, the Clippers also started their franchise in Buffalo. Maybe it's Buffalo that's bad luck 😂
Add the Cleveland Browns and Indians to that list 😂
The clippers were originally the buffalo braves just in case you don't know the fact.
They had SGA!…one of the best top 3 youngest player in the league, if not the best, and they traded him away. SMH 🤦
Being drafted or traded to the LA Clippers is like an early death sentence for most star players. A lot of bad luck and questionable team management in this franchise.
What questionable management by the Clips has resulted in a death sentence to a players career?
The clippers will always be cursed😭
Bro quit riding Hardens jock strap
He's a certified choker who won't do shit for this team
You good, man? You always know somebody's going through it when they talk about "dick riding/meat riding/riding his jock strap". You got so hung up on a single measly half-ass compliment about James Harden being not horrible at basketball that you somehow walked away from this video thinking he predicted that Harden is going to lead this team to glory or some shit, like wtf lol...
I had high hopes for the Clippers after they made the WCF in 2021.
When Kawhi retires we will probably not hear from him again but if that’s not the case I don’t wanna hear how he wishes he stayed in Toronto cause they treated him like royalty… yes he shoulda stayed in Toronto but what’s more important… winning championships or playing at home ?
Kawhi somehow has the Actually Good slider AND Stealing Money slider both maxed simultaneously
Ballmer had no choice but to extend Kawhi because of the new arena. They need to sell tickets.
All that load management for literally nothing.
That's not how you use the word "literally" but sure.
KPJ will give the Clippers a bigger boost than most people realize.
When the tanking was over in Houston at the end of the 22-23 season there were about 6 games left, KPJ averaged over 30ppg.
Man.........................bless your heart. Sure, and then he'll end up in jail for beating up an Uber driver or something. Can he lead them back to a rather quick 1st round exit? MAYBE I'll grant you that.
i’m positive the Ballmer would of blew it up after the 23 season if it weren’t for Intuit Dome. You can’t move into a new arena without star power.
Would HAVE blew it up. "Would of" it not a thing. Just sayin.
@@michaelhaydenbell”Would have BLOWN it up…” The original poster got that wrong as well.🙂

It would have been better for everyone, including in retrospect the Clippers, if Kawhi stayed in Toronto. The Clippers have no assets to build for the future and now Kawhi is older and as usual, always injured.
Rich owners trying to build super teams doesn’t seem to go well
I can't believe Kawhi still getting contracts,
I'd been got him off books, I'm good

Okay, tbh he did only play 60 games for TOR that year and he was limping like a mf those whole playoffs. Buddy hasn’t been 100% for almost seven years.
Great video and happy you're not promoting betting houses
That Paul George for SGA trade might be one of the worst trades in NBA history
If SGA actually leads OKC to a championship
I don't understand the love for Kwahi, this guy never plays basketball, screwed over San Antonio, basically screwed over Toronto, and continuing to screw over the clippers and Steve ballmer
Agree he screwed over the Spurs. Raptors knew he was a one-year rental and he brought them their first championship, so he certainly didn't screw them over. And Balmer knew the injury risk from the beginning.
He didn’t screw the spurs he won them a championship
7:14 that wasn’t even the reason lol
People dont understand how good Kawhi is.
Can you imagine saying with Kawhi will not be able to contend cos its just him on the team
But then say having PG and Kawhi are a superteam.
Also, they keep saying Kawhi faked an injury
Then they say, he is playing for the money.
If the Olympics was in may june, he will be injured.
If postseason was olympic month, Kawhi would be available
i used to have the belief that the clippers were this elite team to be feared but now im of the belief that they are a paper tiger all show no bite😊
thats been the case since like 2012
remember doc rivers is the one that signed off on the deal to bring in PG.
Agreed “worst” is crazy to say, unluckiest is probably the better word.
Kawhi's load management "New Balance" formula...
20% hooping + 80% stooping =100% duping Steve Balmer 😁😁
I already knew it was going to be the clippers 😔
As a chosen NBA team Los Angeles Clippers' fan,I am feeling entirely with this team but your explanations in this video about them are spotted on,good friend Andy Hoops!!!I am only hoping for the team to galvanise well despite no drafts picks until 2030,so lets see how this management is going to solve the problems well, good friend!!!🏋🏻♂️
@@nocturne311 Man, that team with Kawhi could’ve been crazy lol

The Lakers Will Always Be Better Than The Clippers That Will Never Change
The Lakers had a worse record last year and won one less playoff game.
I'm early. Well who we thinking winning next season? I see thunder vs Celtics in finals
Detroit, Charlotte: hold my beer
as a Heat fan, I'm not even bothered that PG went to the Sixers.
Now it safe to say that the OKC Thunder won the Paul George Trade with the Clippers....
They definitely have their issues but worse than Brooklyn? KD/Kyrie signed same summer as Kawhi/PG and the Nets were way more of a cluster
Clippers have been cursed for leaving Buffalo the way they did. Break the curse by having a proper farewell game in Buffalo and allow Buffalo to raise the number 11 of Bob McAdoo to the rafters in the Buffalo arena
Kawhi need to hire the raptors doctors because they've got the special touch
It was a great idea at the time but they gave up wayyy too much for George and trading for harden was not the move imo
If they didn't get George, they weren't getting Kawhi. In that light, it wasn't that bad of a trade.
What puzzles me is they resigned Kawhi first instead of Paul George. I wonder what would happen if they resigned PG first rather than Kawhi.
Clippers should've taken the GSW deal. They could've at least gotten picks & some role players back
Especially trading away all that real estate for PG. Yikes.
I mean, Chicago Bulls still exist, kinda.
So, are we Spurs fans allowed to say "We told you so"?
Who knew throwing money at a problem isn't gonna solve the problem.
Can't wait for clipped part two 😂
9:45 it does, but he didnt end up playing as we know, but yea this 5yrs of injuries over and over are killing me ive lost hope
It's remarkable that among NBA teams that have multi-season playoff series win droughts (PSWDs), only the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies have shorter such droughts (2) than the Clippers (3, tied with the Hawks, Nets and Jazz). Teams that have longer active PSWDs than the Clippers include, among teams with such droughts of:
- 9 or fewer seasons, the:
-- Raptors and Rockets with 4 each
-- Blazers, Pelicans and Bulls with five, six and nine respective seasons each
- 10 or more seasons, the Magic, Pistons and Kings with 14, 16 and 20 respective seasons each
The Clippers, of NBA teams with active multi-season:
- conference final appearance droughts, are tied with the Bucks, Suns and Hawks with the 2nd-shortest, with only the Warriors (2) having a shorter such drought than them
- NBA final:
-- appearance droughts, have the third longest at 54 seasons:
--- with only the Hawks at 63 and Kings of 73 having longer such droughts
--- having yet to even appear in that round
-- win droughts, at 54 seasons, have the 4th-longest, with only the Suns at 56, Hawks at 66 and Kings at 73 having longer longer such droughts
Blake Griffen’s huge body and pounding style destroyed his body.
That “Just happy to be here attitude” smh
PG left an injury prone star for another injury prone star.
Hell yeah just in time for my workout🔥🔥🔥
And after the Clippers won Game 4, one NIU student shouted out loud “F*** the Clips!”, so that ignorant student had to jinx the Clippers and they lost the next two games and the series to the Mavericks because of him.
If any NIU student EVER jinxes the Clippers again, there’s going to be a big problem.
As a Raptors fan and 6ix native, I have no doubt that if Kawhi stayed, then the Raptors would've repeated, or maybe even got a 3-peat. But I guess some players are just stupid 🙃
Raptors needed a lucky bounce to get to the finals. Repeating is a tough ask for any team, let alone one led by an injury prone star.
Which Franchise is more cursed. The Wolves or the Clippers 😅
the wolves are getting back onto their feet, and becoming a good team.
Thanks for the chip and dip Kawhi. I'm glad things didn't work out in LAC. You should've never left the Raps. You took that franchise for granted
It worked out well for us. We got a chip and then avoided all the injury issues he had after that year.
The Raptors dodged a bullet, and got a ring out of it - no complaints
This truly goes to show that the 2020 bubble was the Clippers' only year to win it all. Its crazy to think that considering how hyped this team was when they got PG and Kawhi back in 2019. People were acting like this was the next dynasty.
We got "This Is The Worst Managed Franchise In NBA History" before GTA6
