Very nice drill for any level players again!
I think one important thing Darren did not say clearly enough for lower level players.
When he follows it with touch of left(or inside spin- can be left or right). He uses little inside spin to get cue ball out from 2nd rail.
If he would use just follow he would get many times really close or on rail.

Like the little tip of moving back hand up and eyes on cue ball when too close to the rail... these shots have been testing me lately. I'll give this a try. 👍🏼

Your feel and execution of the correct amount of left/right, top/bottom, and power is astounding Darren. I suppose if I had my own table, I'd improve over time but I could only aspire to have your cue ball control!

Find a local pool hall that won't kill your wallet and go play pool as often as you can. Even if once a week go out and practice

Thank you for sharing this simple and important drill, Darren! I appreciate simple drills like this that don't require extensive setup. It's nice to just put the object ball down and get on with it.

Ya I really like this drill... Some drills are a bit tedious, a drill with some physical movement is a great way to practice... Thanks for all you do to help players elevate their game... Well appreciated...

I've done that drill many times. You can demand yourself only a change of pocket or a rail each time and not both. Also start with a half-ball angle and not straight in.

I understand the drill involves alternating the side pockets, but I’m guessing it might also be fun to occasionally send the cue ball 2 or 3 rails to shoot the 9 again to the same side pocket. Different drill, but it could be fun.

Great drill series! I know the point of the drills is to improve and not compete with others but can you give us a rough numbers on your average scores on those drills and how much you think it is a good average score to aim for in your opinion. For 500+ and 500- players

Stopped after 50 shots, got boring. Always more or less the same path and shot, just some minor tweaks on the cue ball hit point. I do not see what exactly is difficult about this drill. You will probably also be able to do this endless until you stop.
