  • New Hampshire's renowned Pemi Loop consists of a roughly 31 mile traverse, 10,000~ feet elevation gain, covering eight wide-open summits on the AMC list of NH four-thousand footers. We decided to start our single-effort push with a midnight departure from the Lincoln Woods parking lot on September 26, 2020.
The Pemi offers spectacular views of the Pemigewasset Wilderness in all seasons, but undertaking this hike in late September yields some incredible foliage. Given the global pandemic, we each took covid tests prior.
    Summits:
    Flume 02:07
    Liberty 02:18
    Lincoln 07:07
    Lafayette 09:35
    Garfield 11:30
    South Twin 15:30
    Bond 19:40
    Bond Cliff 23:50
    (not in this video)
    Extended Loop:
    Zealand
    Galehead
    North Twin
    West Bond

I backpacked the Pemi Loop in 4 days with my uncle shortly after I turned 18, as a rite of passage. It was my first real hike, and I underestimated what I was getting into. I faced many challenges and wanted to give up often, but I found the strength to push through it and now I have the knowledge that if I made it through that, I can make it through anything.
I am 20 years old now and when my brother and cousin turn 18, they will embark on the same journey to prove themselves, and I might just join them.
Thank you for reading this, and if you haven't hiked the Pemi Loop, I highly recommend it. The views from the mountain peaks are a display of the resplendent glory of Nature. I wish you strength and courage.

Great job. I have done 5 Pemi Loops with 4 all being CW how you went . Good choice . I posted two videos of them , and other clips for my single season fall. If you wanna do another I will be going again. Perhaps with side peaks

Awesome job! I just did the loop solo this past Friday. You guys crushed it. It took me a bit over 18 hours to complete it (while also bagging one of the optional 4000 footers, Galehead). Truly epic trails and scenery. Couldn't agree more that the 8 or 9 or infinity miles it took to get from Bondcliff back to the parking lot were....gruelling.

Doing this solo this upcoming Sunday, July 31st. Probably will chug a liter of water before starting and take a full 3L bladder and hope that lasts me until the galehead hut where I can replenish. Thankfully the hut will be open when I do it and fuel up on some brownies as well
