Yes so true! As an ENFJ I am RARELY competitive over much of anything, but definitely not in communication. The spotlight DOES make me ackward, which is all the more reason I'm not competitive in the conversation: I don't want the spotlight.

Hi! ENFJ here. I would be careful about reading too much "competition" into what is going on. When Jennifer told her own misheard lyric anecdote, for instance, she wasn't trying to "one-up" Emma. ENFJs always want to validate the person they are with in a social situation, and a common way for us to do that is with a "cool, me too!" moment. By sharing her own misheard lyric anecdote, Jennifer is demonstrating to Emma that she is interested in the topic Emma brought up. Same thing with the turtle stories. We are reluctant to just change the subject, because that feels like it would send the signal that we don't find what the other person said to be worthy of discussion. So we will engage in participatory behavior, like, "Oh, you had a siamese cat when you were little? My Aunt had one and I just loved it!" Translation: "Yes, I am interested in what you just said about siamese cats." And the more insecure we perceive that the other person is, the more we will do this, to reassure them and demonstrate that we are engaged. My husband is an ENTP, and he often misunderstands this behavior when I do it, and also thinks I'm trying to "one-up" him sometimes, lol. I assure you that isn't what we are doing. (At least I'm not, lol, perhaps it's different for others.)
YES! Every word is on point! I was bothered by the competition analysis, which is simply not true for ENFJ. It's exactly what you described. I don't know if it's an ENFJ thing of just a me thing, but competition makes me unbearably anxious. I avoid it at all costs. 4:44 yes, I know *exactly* what you mean. We love attention precisely because we want to spread smiles and happiness to everyone involved and we know we have the skills to do that, but we somehow often feel undeserving of the spotlight and it can make us come across as a bit awkward. Oddly, though, I think this is part of why people find us to be charming. Many different types of people find it easy to relate to us because of this dichotomy. Our confidence in our social skills yet humility about using them makes us very... human. This interview made me smile because it's exactly how my best friend (another ENFJ) and I act together. It's never a competition for attention, we just love playing off each other and catching each other off guard with an unexpected witty joke or dry sarcasm
I LOVE the spotlight if it's to make OTHERS feel good...but HATE it if it is "about me"...accolade, etc. For YEARS...the thought of being a Bride "your day/center of attention" ...literally the.worst.fear.
Not competition but partnership, we engage and enjoy to give people validation by understanding stories. Maybe the personality of the expectant is introvert or just in her eyes for her to do that engaging is to compete, but we ENFJ don't care about competition but engaging, it's not about "seeking attention " it's about making other people feel heard, validate and part of the group, thats why we adopt introverts. LOVE ❤ MBTI FAMILY ENFJ siblings💗👑
I disagree about the competition segment, we just want to fuel the conversation and connect with you, as in like "oh we are talking about this? Cool! I have one story about it too, I'm interested", I guess people might see it as competition but it's really not lol. Great video 👍

ESTJ here. My boyfriend's an ENFJ, he's completely humorous, sarcastic and we're constantly engaging in various jokes and comical statements. In order to get each others ways, we're evolving to smart and technical jokes and even commentary, I get to understand humor and he gets to think strategically more often. :)
ENFJ. I was married to and INFP. While a good match physically, she sometimes would get my sarcasm and humor. But when she became stressed (post partum depression and self imposed unhappiness) everything I said became suspicious of motivation. As if my desire to help through questions were seen as attempts to subvert vulnerability. Or if talking in banter she became easily offended, hurt and accuse me of saying something mean spirited. I admit as and ENFJ I have a sniper scope on button pushing. I seldom use that to "kill" but do so to get the person to think. When Lizzy and I first met, I liked her "hippie vibe". She was funny and had deadpan humor which I loved.
"They actually very shy, they a little bit anxious" wow i can't tell 🤣 they are extrovert. How do you know? You translate their body language. I am bad at that. N i hope u add eng sub.
Simple way - they engage, initiate all the time during this conversation. Introverted would wait for the other one to finish or wait for a next question (hope I don't sound here as blurry as I think). But "the typing" of them needs to be done by watching more of their interactions, and I guess Sara have done it before recording ;)
Because of their body language, they are arched and focusing on facing what's on their hands, leaning on each other for support and comfort. They don't tend to look at the other people in the room, just each other, so even though they are extroverted they are uncomfortable in I'm assuming a room full of people. Bonus: I'm an ENFJ lol we can be shy and anxious but it can be difficult to believe because of our flashy exterior
Yes, I want to see more of this! Very interesting. Maybe one suggestion would be to let the whole video play, or at least longer snippets, so we can get a better feel for them before breaking it up into such small chunks. But overall, this was interesting and helpful!
It's definitely not competition. It's mutual engagement and exchange of a great conversation of excitement overflowing from each other. Oh my goodness! I can see how us ENFJ's are confused.
I know this is strictly about MBTI, but an interesting fact is that Emma is a Scorpio and Jennifer is a Leo - one is more reserved while the other is a bit more outspoken. It's an interesting dynamic to witness, I think, with two different ENFJs. Thank you for the analysis!
As a ENFJ I think when there is a silence or change of the conversation, there is the pressure on TV to keep a pleasant conversation going. They are trying to show off, but would be more normal in real life outside of the camera. I like people are real, and you cannot be real in this TV setting.
I think it's totally fine that the ENFJs dont view it as competition or refuse that it is competition at all but please open your eyes that other types see this as competition because to their interpretations via their own funtion stack that's what it feels like and therefore is valid and needs to be understood just as much as others understanding to you it is not competition.
You have a good point. There is different views on that behavior. But in the end the question is what Emma and Jennifer feel and think about the one-up situation, right? - ENFJ
I am an ENFJ and, oddly enough, the only two females I feel super comfortable with are INTJ's, which is the rarest personality type I think? I have wondered why that is. I have "so many friends" (of course), but can easily count on one hand how many people I feel actually know me. Is this common? Is it because we emulate behaviors and then feel like it wasn't all of who we are underneath?
I really don't get the sense that there is any competition here. I think they just are enjoying one another's company and relating to one another well. I'm smiling ear to ear listening to them banter because they're having fun. I don't see most friends have this much fun together anywhere.
Okay, finished the video and I am not an expert but this feels a bit off. I don’t think they are competing. Jen’s merely sharing a similar story to engage, showing that she’s listening and would like to relate. I think she does this a lot with her friends. Competition sounds a bit off track because she doesn’t try to win but wants to laugh and make the atmosphere enjoyable.
Hahahahhahaha It's so funny watching them fiddling while entertaining an inconsequential discussion... Kind of like a robot vacuum that takes off on autopilot..... (INTP perspective)
@@SaraMBTI Do (we) really believe that certain cognitive functions can pre-dispose people to being insecure? - Look I am def. convinced that certain functions pre-dispose to ADHD, OCD, depression, etc., I just have a harder time making these assumptions for things like insecurity for some reason. What do u think?
I'm an INTJ 5w4 and I feel very anxious while watching all the Fe mumbo jumbo going on. It feels competitive as well as hospitable which is extremely conflicting to me for some reason and there is a level of cringe or awkward momentum that I can't really put a finger on. That being said I would still want to see 20 ENFJs in the same room just to see what would happen.
Both were very Se playing with their hands. Seems that Emma Stone more masculine (not sure which function does that but it makes (to me) Jennefer appear more likeable and less charismatic). To be fair, both are light years more charismatic than many including me.
Neither of them are ENFJ. Sorry. But interesting assessments. Idk. Behind the scenes they are entertainers, and incredibly sensory oriented/ SF types. Jungian theory does not go as in depth with "S" types.
Jennifer is ENFP, her Ne and Fi are so obvious, she dont care about fitting in and embrace her weirdness and explosion of idea. Eric Wen did a good video about her typing.
Emma Stone is ENFP and Jennifer Lawrence is ESTP. Both are commonly mistyped and unfortunately trying to make the enfj label fit them this way is ineffectual analysis.
Hi, I have a question. If I remember correctly you uploaded a video over a year ago in which you showcased the cognitive function for each type with either stars or movie scenes. Did you take it down? I’d like to see it again. It is my favorite video since I loved the scene with the introverted intuition.
Sara MBTI there was for example “introverted intuition” and showed a movie scene in which an adult man had visions of the future where everything collapsed. He was then asked “how do you know?” And he responded “I don’t” Not every cognitive function was with a movie scene, but introverted intuition was definitely. Some of the other types had scene of an interview for example. But it was a video in which all 8 cognitive functions were showcased ☺️
The perception that there is a competition going on is really odd to me. It speaks more to the person who made this video than anything. I just see two people vibing off each other while doing some awkward creative assignment with paper elephants. They are bonding in this weird moment the producers put them in, and they have each other to hold on to, making something potentially weird into something fun.

04:52 yeap, I got it girl! 😖
I honestly think Emma is more Esfj or even Entp (Entp's can be really playful and energetic) while Jlaw is the real Enfj (maybe even estp)
Are you an Enfj?
@@SaraMBTI I am, and I agree with the Above statement.
@@morganmiller5413 Me too😊
It's more like creating a nice vibe together. So maybe a cooperative one-up.
Hahahahhahaha
It's so funny watching them fiddling while entertaining an inconsequential discussion... Kind of like a robot vacuum that takes off on autopilot.....
(INTP perspective)
Fantastic analysis .
Is it insecurity that makes them want to keep talking ?
That is one of the reasons
@@SaraMBTI Do (we) really believe that certain cognitive functions can pre-dispose people to being insecure? - Look I am def. convinced that certain functions pre-dispose to ADHD, OCD, depression, etc., I just have a harder time making these assumptions for things like insecurity for some reason. What do u think?
Emma stone and I are born on the same day .... scorpio + ENFJ BOTH ❤️🤣
I'm an INTJ 5w4 and I feel very anxious while watching all the Fe mumbo jumbo going on. It feels competitive as well as hospitable which is extremely conflicting to me for some reason and there is a level of cringe or awkward momentum that I can't really put a finger on. That being said I would still want to see 20 ENFJs in the same room just to see what would happen.
Wow, so on point! :)
I am an INFJ love you ENFJ
Love this thanks
I don't see any competition here, even if it were, it is just a fun healthy competition.
Funny, I'm an INFJ, but when I try to br extroverted, that's exactly how I am but I'm less likely to interrupt people.
I thought Jennifer was ENFP? No? What makes her an ENFJ?
What makes her an Enfj?
I think I showed in the video what makes her an Enfj xD
Omigosh such an ENFJ. She's in Play a lot. She uses her Se as a way to connect with people.
ESFP. Se true, Se dom.
Very interesting, I like body language analysis!🙂
Do like this for ENTJ please
I will:)
Two enfps please if u dont mind hhi
Do it with Lisa & Somi kpop, they're both enfj too,, hh~~ but if only there's a kpopers here
Somi is enfj? Omgosh love her personality so much~
Both were very Se playing with their hands. Seems that Emma Stone more masculine (not sure which function does that but it makes (to me) Jennefer appear more likeable and less charismatic). To be fair, both are light years more charismatic than many including me.
ENFJ 3w4 SX please!
If you’re not an ENFJ you just don’t get it. 🤷🏽♀️
ENFJ!! I feel like i have a really similar personality with Jennifer Lawrence. Plus we're both Leos, same with barack obama 😍
Excellent
I want to see istjs .I’m always confused whether i am istj even the tests turns out I am.
Stay tuned;)
TI ? NI ? WHERE DO I FIND EXPLANATION
Well done!
Emma Stone is ENFP and Jennifer Lawrence is ESTP. Both are commonly mistyped and unfortunately trying to make the enfj label fit them this way is ineffectual analysis.
INTJ and ESFP please :D
- INTJ
Nice I love this:)
Hi, I have a question. If I remember correctly you uploaded a video over a year ago in which you showcased the cognitive function for each type with either stars or movie scenes. Did you take it down? I’d like to see it again. It is my favorite video since I loved the scene with the introverted intuition.
I can't remember :( describe that video pls. I want to remember
Sara MBTI there was for example “introverted intuition” and showed a movie scene in which an adult man had visions of the future where everything collapsed. He was then asked “how do you know?” And he responded “I don’t”
Not every cognitive function was with a movie scene, but introverted intuition was definitely.
