I’ve worked in super heavy seas for weeks on end as a diver in the GOM. It’s amazing when a 120’ steel hull boat is skiing 50 and 60mph. Some days we can’t get off the boat or work because of the sea state and weather.
If not for the captain’s skills in reading the water; the boat would be on the bottom; IM SURE of it.
I piloted a boat through a hurricane once in NY for 4 hours. The boat was losing the entire forward deck; It had actually separated from the hull from the pounding. We were totally lucky the storm passed when it did and the storm band width was narrow and only 4 hours.
The damage wasn’t known about until hours later when we were inspecting the boat and dropped the ladder over the side and the deck heaved up from the weight of the diver and steel ladder. Ps; this was an old Navy converted wooden hull transport boat converted into a diver crew and work boat. How close was that one?

Why is no shot ever longer than 2 or 3 seconds. I can't stand anything cinematic anymore. Totally disjointed and disorienting. Can never get any context visually. Like watching the washing machine.
