Stuck doors, drainage problems and error codes like F021, F022, F11, F01, and others are not that unusual with various front load washers like Kenmores, Whirpools, GE, Kitchen Aid, LG's, and even very high end washing machines. How to clean whirlpool front-loading washer lint trap, how to manually unlock a kenmore front load washing machine, Kenmore front load washer door won't unlock! Washer buzzing sound and not spinning fix easy and relax. Eventually, every washing machine will need some kind of maintenance depending on the specific manufacturer of the washing machine components. It's my understand that the Kenmore Elite, like the one shown in this video (the HE3) was once made by whirlpool and may have even been called the whirlpool duet. But, interestingly, according to internet sources, Kenmore washing machines are actually made by a variety of other companies such as GE and even LG. If a front load washer won't drain, problem solved! There is a drain pump test that can be done and the drain pump assembly is actually not that expensive to replace, so that is always an option as well. Don't feel bad. Even the really stylish looking Kenmore series 700s can run into problems from time to time. But most everything is fixable. Someone always finds a solution! The Kenmore HE2, Kenmore HE3 and HE4 are stackable and very modern in appearance. Fast Eddit's Appliance Repair even reports that these high efficiency models eventually need a little TLC, it's just a matter of time with everything, even Bosch, LG, Maytag, Kitchen Aid, you name it. "Kenmore He2 Front Load Washer Making Noise and Won't Spin" shows that many models are very similar in terms of trouble codes to the other models many of us have.

Great video and super helpful. Nailed my exact problem down to the bra underwire pieces! One trick I used to keep water from going everywhere when opening the filter cartridge was to first remove the single screw at the 6 o'clock position, wiggle the filter out of the mount holes and pull it a little forward beyond the face of the unit so that it drained right into a bucket I had placed in my open drawer of the stand unit.

The impeller strips off the motor shaft, and unfortunately the motor has to be replaced, also if you get a foul odor u need to pull that cap off the strainer. And cleaned that as well 🙌

Well, I think anyone with a Viking Range doesn't need to be fixing their own washer! But if you are unhappy with your viking, I will be happy to take it off your hands. :)
@Merv's Service Secrets hahaha.. the viking came with the house. ..this is not the first time or first washer I've repaired. The washer is first Gen elite. I replaced the pump about 3 years ago. It sounds like there's a Bobby pin (or tungsten 🤫🙄) stuck in the impeller. I checked out your video before going at unlocking the door like a blind man.

You should see how I repaired that boot door seal and the door catch . what a piece of crap those door catches are.. I would be on my third one now but I figured out a way to repair it legitimately. The torn boot has been holding water for 2 or 3 years now and the broken catch works without issue for over a year now.
Dooood! You should see my Frankenstein Bradford Ruud water heater. Lol I came up with a cool way to patch the broken screen over the burner that gave it 3 or 4 years before I finally rebuilt it (than you McMaster Carr for having the material needed). And that Honeywell piece of crap gas valve had to go. I was able to adapt an older Robertshaw valve to fit but I had to braze the orifice closed and drill it one mic smaller. It's been working like a charm for around 5 years now. Those Honeywell "smart" valves are too temperamental. The first time I had to repair it, I had to replace the 3 capacitors on the little circuit board. That lasted maybe a year, then it went out again and it was beyond my skill level. Rather than come here to RUclips university, I decided to try adapting the Robert Shaw valve. Now I have a way cheaper thermal couple that's available at any hardware store instead of that thermal pile that I can only get from 7 to 5 , m-f at a plumbing supply house for 3x the cost.
Anyway, I think the problem with the range could be the igniter brain component thing. The oven will ignite but won't come up to temp or if it does, it won't stay up. Last time I checked, there was no video about it and when I contacted viking , they won't help me because I'm not a certified viking mechanic.
The reason I think it might be the main igniter component is because when the problem with the oven started, the stove clickers were all going nuts, not stopping clicking even after stove was lit.. another possibility might be a bad plug connection. I have to dig out my motorcycle jack so I can move the range out away from the wall. There's a lot of rodent proofing in place that has to be dealt with before I can get the jack under it too..
I'm a retired commercial plumber with 2 very bad knees so getting on my knees is not an option. Thanks for reading hey thanks for replying and thanks for posting your video. I'm going to check more of your videos later tonight. You're funny dude , or a funny crew I should say.
I accidentally put some shoes in my front load dryer and the inside glass shattered. I ordered a new one but have no clue how to repair it. Could u do a video on how to replace the outside glass? Thanks so much Merv!!!

Hey Merv , what plastic tab did you pull to release the door lock....maybe you have a different locking assembly from what i have...Trying to open the door on a Kenmore elite he3t...any tips?
That's the same model as mine. I just reached up in there and carefully felt around. It's like a thin t shaped piece of plastic. Perhaps you are reaching too high

Hello, Merv, wanted to ask about the opposite problem. My front loader washer like this decides differently from day to day whether or not it wants to lock... and on the days she don't lock we can not commence on washing.
Hmm. Just a guess, but maybe it needs some lubrication. Either that or perhaps the contacts behind your start button aren't fully engaging.

Howdy, mama. There MUST be some sort of physical way to release your door. In your case the release tab might actually be behind the lower kick panel. But, as always, be careful if your pokin' around inside any machine. Might be good to unplug it.
