After the interview Fanatec added the following in respect of warranties:
"The warranty start date shown for any product in a Fanatec account is based on the shipping date of the order. This means if the customer purchases a pre-order item, the purchase date has no bearing on the start of the warranty coverage. If the customer requires support towards the end of the warranty period, we take the date of delivery into account."

Jackimyer looked and sounded shady in your interview.
He just looked like a man under a lot of stress to me.
He knew what was coming
If I was Jackermeier with that £48 million with partner investors, I would just simply fire up a new competitor startup. Let the hedges have it at this point. That being said, there is obviously details about the relationships within management that are not being shared with you or the public. Somewhere down the line things got sour. I want to know why Jackermeier was sitting on all of that money and let his "baby" fall to the ground and now all of a sudden is willing to give it up to save it. Something is not adding up here in the overall equation. Overall, it sounds like management took too much money for themselves without paying their lenders by deadlines, while not putting a cap on orders when they knew they didn't have the inventory to cover the demand. Perhaps they thought they could get away with it and make enough to pay back the banks on time while still holding their bit of the pie without it backfiring. As a customer I rather have Fanatec restored in order, because otherwise the support for all products will end with its downfall that includes software/driver updates. So, for example, when Windows 12 comes around in 2025 those with a DD2 will have a very expensive paperweight.
So personally I rather see Thomas restore order back in Fanatec and put the management in proper and trusted hands.

The customers will lose out regardless of what they do, this seems like a pissing match about IP and money.
Got my last order about a week late but everything came intact and they threw in a couple free QR2 releases for the wheels I purchased...I hope the suits work everything out.
Assuming Jackermeier is the best person to keep product development and quality to its current standard, the 48 million should be enough to regain control of the company. However I doubt he has the qualifications to run this company efficiently from a sales and logistics point of view. They need to bring in absolute experts in the field. Now I think the main problem of Fanatec is the price point of those wheels. They are too expensive to democratize sim racing and to have enough customers to be financially viable.
They're absolutely getting destroyed by moza and simagic in the entry level DD price point. Plus they're actually able to deliver orders quickly.

I have bought Porsche podium wheel, and qr2 separately as on Porsche wheel page it stated that ill got qr1 wheelside, then when order came after meny delays i was missing qr1 , so i went to podium hub page and there it said that i could choose qr1 or qr2 which was not the case when i was ordering. Ive contacted fanatec about this as im feeling scammed for 50-99eur (qr1 or qr2) no reply still.
Also have some stuff on order and preorder, for shifter on order it stays in handed to warehouse for 8 days now even it said 4-7 days on ordering. For v3 perfromance kit and handbrake preorder is in mid may and mid june respectively so its before 30th of June which is mentioning as deadline per most of documents on this channel videos about situation on fanatec so im keeping my fingers crossed to get my gear and that ill got even some info about what happened with qr missing from my Porsche order
no one is asking how does Jack have that much liquidity? I mean what I see is years of cutting in expenses on products, customer, support, shipping/production leading to this mess and now he is there look I got the money...... This whole thing is shady AF.....
Jackermeier has to go. He's presided over a company who have ignored customer service and have taken customers money and not provided a product.
Thats fraudulent behaviour, and TJ presided over that regime.
It's time for a deep, ground up restructure, selling to a new, larger organisation (e.g. Logitech) or just role up Fanatec and Thomas can restart from the ashes.

From the customer side, this all sounds like "if you are in the market for some new simracing equipment, take your money and run elsewhere".
Jackermeier was in charge of the mess long enough. He brought his company where it is now. Now it seems he wants to make sure nobody else can save it either.
As a German I would have loved to buy from a German company. I am glad I didn't. Everyone at Fanatec knows that buying Fanatec-products at the moment would be a stoopid thing to do.

Banksters subvert the management with ridiculous conditions & install there own operatives as a measure to perform a hostile takeover, oust the creater & gain control of a company that has recently signed a major contract with 1 of the greatest racing sims Gran Turismo to have ever existed.

I told you weeks ago now (or more?) this was all going to be the owner buying back more shares at a cheap price and this would be nothing more than a Stocks shake out. I stand by my assessment that the owner is just gonna buy back cheaper shares. Hes gonna make a shit load, in the end. The lending banks dont control ANYTHING going on with Fanatec as long as the owner has the money to cover the problems. He does have the money. The end. This is just a game of "chicken" at this point, imho. If he can use bank money thats much better for him, obviously. But in the end it will not matter because the parent company has the money to cover the problems. This is gonna be a money grab most likely.

What's odd is how fanatic are still sponsors GT racing and yet there is nothing being said about this
they signed a long term agreement maybe? and fanatec is still the title sponsor for gt world challenge races in real life.
They wouldn’t be in this situation if they didn’t let the competition outdo them so badly. I went from a full top end fanatec setup to simagic and the quality is so much higher and cheaper plus I’ve had zero issues. But I’m on pc but for a lot of people there the only choice on the market being the only one’s having PS5 compatibility.

Even as a customer or potential customer (as I am right now), it's not impartial really.
If I buy in to the Fanatec product line, I want to buy a sustainable and supported product at a fair price - I genuinely don't see that with a hedge funder owned business. Ever.
By their very nature, they will strip costs for pure profit with little to no interest in quality or value, simply to inflate the value of the business to its maximum.
Just like a body builder on steroids, it will look pretty and impressive, but underneath the bloated exterior there will be no genuine strength or structure.
This is crazy !!
You buy a 2k wheelbase , wheel and pedals and the company and implode and make your product worthless.

Nothing unusual about liquidating capital and finding investors, it just takes a bit of time depending on the people and amount. To answer your question about why not offer larger earlier.
Why the money now? Great question. But it’s fairly simple. These borrowed funds have been spent. Or are accounted for by way of current product, marketing, rents on warehouses …paying content creators? Wherever. And in the end the people who put up this money will ultimately have a very decent size ownership stake in the company. In the end. You hit the nail on the head. Money wins. If the banks and current ownership group want to make more money, this company is going to venture capitalists. Consumers and shareholders are toast. It’s business. What are consumers and current fanatec owners going to do?

I'd make sure you use a credit card if you do. Half a chance of getting your money back if they go into liquidation. Otherwise you'll get pennies in the pound at best in several years.

It might seem unusual, but from the inside TJ would be handing those hedge fund betters the profits or the company, this way he ousts those that tried to oust him... at least that's how it seems...

Bought a gt dd pro less than a year ago, and it broke down. I'm trying to contact them for the last 7 weeks, but they simply ignore you.
So my biggest hobby simply stopped since then. 😢
I don't know what to hope for.

what happened? I bought a GT DD Pro about 4 months ago and it's working flawlessly so far. maybe you got one during the chip problem?
I’ve had the throttle on my GT DD Pro stop working. It’s taken 6 weeks but finally today we have some progress. Made me believe there are at least some people working through issues so hopefully you’ll get an answer soon. I accidentally broke a button on my GT DD Pro wheel a year ago and they had it repaired within two weeks in the UK which was impressive - how they’ve changed right now!

I still feel like the current shareholders and TJ have everything to lose with only the right to carry on to gain, while the hedge funders are risking comparatively little and stand to make the most
Perhaps it will come to the point that the shareholders will make the hedge funds walk away - but at what point do the banks call in the loans?
I really do appreciate your efforts in reporting this and consider you the #1 reporter on this topic but this most report seems to be repeat info you've already reported, nothing new.

Disagree. I think he is just interested. Many many ppl own this stuff. He tries to stay away from the financial “advice” stuff. But in the end money wins. And if you were a real investor, this name doesn’t show up on very many buy lists even in its heyday. Yes. I am a fanatec owner. And yes. I am a finance professional. This company is dead as it is currently structured. His language alone in the document is a major indication of if banks want to deal with him. And they don’t and won’t.
You have no clue how businesses work do you? This is nonsense and you're creating issues that aren't even relevant. In order to take care of customers you have to have correct structure. You're the guy that still hasn't figured out how to make a ups account to track your order and sends them 37 emails the day you order aren't you?
