I really love the new magnum design. Just wished it had either a smart link scope or full hand grip. I think glow sights would have sold it has a Halo magnum more than anything. Especially with it being based mostly around the Halo 2 magnum. Regardless, I love the build! Looks awesome!. I'll probably share some pictures of my ODST costume by the end of October. Still gotta finish weathering it.
Reminds me a lot of the ODST M6S Magnum.
Looks like someone stipped Magnum from all attachments like hand protection and shrouds over barrel and guns hammer, so what left is bare pistol.

I have a recommendation. You should do the new Halo Infinite Battle Rifle. It’s in the gameplay 1 minute trailer and it is known as a BR75 I believe. It is only shown for about 2 seconds, but all you’d have to do is pause or look up a clear image of the weapon. It is basically the Halo 2 battle rifle but a bigger scope and is quite interesting.
I will as soon as i can get a better look at it, too many unseen sections on it =) Good recommendation

Wouldn't mind seeing a video on the Pulse Carbine. Saw your final product on Halowaypoint. Even if showcases can be repetative, it's nice seeing the weapons outside of an image.

Look at Halo 2 and ODST.
Halo 2 and ODST still had their unique looks to it and still stood out more to a Halo magnum. I’m not a fan of the designs much but they still had the good features to it. This new one doesn’t have those ones. I didn’t like it at first but I think it’s ok, but I wish they had other variants of the weapons in the game other than just replacing them entirely.

The people that are mad about the look of it never played Halo 2
ETF SMOKE the halo 2 magnum still holds the silhouette of the magnum’s design. A lot of people just say the sidekick reminds them of the halo 2 magnum simply because they have a similar functionality - that being a faster fire rate. But I wouldn’t expect the sidekick to look like a magnum anyway because it’s not a magnum. It’s a shame they both aren’t in the game and that’s why people are mad. Magnum shouldn’t be replaced, it’s a staple to the franchise.
Bananawingz, I agree. It’s very sad but their isn’t much to do about it. They’ve replace 2 of the most iconic weapons to bland generic weapons. At least Halo 2’s magnum was still unique and had similar features to CE’s. It’s like the Halo 5 rocket launcher, sniper, and even the shotgun all over again. I kind of like Halo 4’s and 5’s Shotgun, at least more than the new one. It didn’t look anything like the original, and had a bland design. They didn’t really learn from their mistakes. If their were different types of pistols or shotguns it would be fine but when you take something that is so memorable and unique, and turn it to a generic Destiny style-like weapon then it doesn’t really stand out and it’s something I will never really think of for Halo. In the old Bungie days they really thought it all out and found a different style but nowdays it’s just something straight up from cod. I really miss the old days honestly. Not only because of the guns, but the way game developers care. When they first made Halo they kept something and it was straight. The quality came first, money came alongside. Nowdays they have micro transaction systems and they don’t look far into the key features of the game. Halo was unique in its own way but when 343 decided to join back in, they took a different route and it didn’t feel unique anymore. They made Halo 4’s multiplayers like a Call of Duty game but finally fixed it in Halo 5. The aiming is different and a lot of the designs are just bland. Not saying they all are bad but when you take things away that made it unique, it won’t feel any special anymore.
Edit: I kind of like the new pistol after a while. I don’t mind it, still hate the new shotgun though, but just my opinion.

Except your Rendition of it actually look good. The Ingame version looks too roundy like they applied "round corners 200% and scale 150% to fuck it up. Yours isnt too unweildy and has nice crisp, defined edges unlike the demo version.

Lore wise: the UNSC adopted the M6 series of pistols
Gameplay wise: this isn’t CoD where there are 5 different versions of the same gun with minimal stat differences. This was starting to be a problem in Halo 4 with the BR, DMR, and Light Rifle being basically the same, 5’s Req system made that worse, and this looks like much of the same.
Visually: it looks ‘outdated’ by Halo standards and just looks out of place, distractingly so.

thing is the halo 5 magnum also comes from what is currently the worst received halo game and looks too much like a to for many, while all of the other halo magnums have similar aesthetics.

Halo 2’s had Halo’s unique look still. The new weapon looks like it came from cod but it’s not too bad since now they could work on a newer type. Not saying they delayed it for that but they still have time.
