We’re very thankful for you Mr Chen to stop by in our Small Eatery,mu husband was so surprised for your visit specially me,were talking on the phone that I always do to anybody.but my fren told me you dont know him, honest to goodness i said no Tina, she said in an excited way “that’s Miley Chen, famous food Blogger”.i drop my jaw,the word i let go,Ha whaaat?.
Thank you Mr Chen and to EVERYONE
All your food looks so good tita. I wish I could travel to Texas and get your lechon and that dinuguan, wow. Now I feel like making filipino food tomorrow. It's going to be a bit chilly tomorrow so I'll probably make sopas or kaldareta maybe even arroz caldo 🤔... LOL
I'm visiting you in july... I have been wanting to get a taste of lechon made by anyone in the visayas..
Much love to you and your husband ❤
americans dont understand how lucky they are for the multi cultures they have. in germany we do too but especially when it comes to eating its not as diverse and authentic so i always dream of all the foods mikey gets.
I don’t travel but all the food I saw Mikey eat at your place makes me happy and very hungry!!! 😋
Everything looked amazing!!!!
You know a Filipino place is legit when other Filipinos eat there!
Isn't that usually the case for any ethnicity? Middle eastern would go to middle eastern restaurant, Chinese go to Chinese place, filos go to filo restaurant and so on and so on. Go figure hey
@@trcs3079 most filipinos don't go to a place in the 2nd time if they didn't like how the food taste particularly if it's a Filipino food
Same for any ethnic food
@@trcs3079 the odd exception IMO is that Vietnamese people only go to Vietnamese places on a Sunday. Usually on any other day, you don't see as many.
@@trcs3079 This place in particular is in the middle of nowhere. Princeton, TX doesn't have many Asian people. It was mainly white farmers/country folk until 5-10 years ago when new homes started being built (even then some chain stores stay around the freeway while mom and pop stores are within the heart of the city). If Filipinos from all over Dallas venture out there then it must be decent.
Mike is Ash Ketchum of the food scene, every region he has a new partner to accompany him on his food adventures.
Such an underrated comparison, this is so true

Just spoke to Mother, she said she can adopt you. She says it’ll be good because they’ll be no leftovers 😭
No leftovers lmaooooo
Lmao my mother in law calls me the cleaner cause no leftovers and if there is it has my name on it. Do it Mike! Lol
I’ve resided in Dallas for 15 years and I’ve never known that Filipino restaurant existed. Thank you Mikey! 🤤
sad
It's in Princeton, TX.
Not far from me. I will have to make a trip.
same here. been in DFW since 1999. gonna check this place out.
It’s not worth it honestly. The Lechon is dry and the skin is not crispy.
2:22 this is exactly how local food eateries here in the Philippine looks like. They nailed the aesthetic *karenderya* look ☺️
Agreed. Especially in rural areas. ❤️
exactly what i said when i saw this hahaha it looks like a karenderya that you stop over on your way to tarlac or baguio or something 😅
What we call dirty kitchen. Everything is cooked either with coal or firewood.
You know what Mike? You’re so genuine with Filipino food cravings and we thank you for that! I really can feel it. Salamat
Taste of Philippeans is my friend Ricky’s restaurant. Fun fact he’s a RN, opened this place just before COVID shut the world down. Nicest man you’ll every know.
This channel is the reason I gained 20 lbs during quarantine! Wouldn’t change it though!!
For me it’s the opposite he is the reason I lost 10 pounds he eats for me🤣💜
@@jamiru6173 lol same 😂

@@MikeyChenX 🤣 Mikey I will know how you feel when BTS McDonald’s meal comes out I’m gonna gain all those pounds back😭
Being adopted by that Filipino Mom is like.... A feast every meal but be ready to wash all the greasy dishes after 😂❤️
Worth it. Especially when her grandmother is still around. Man I miss my best friend. She slayed pork.
Especially those plastic containers. 🥲
Yess that's accurate AHHAHAHAHHA
thats easy with joy dishwashing 🎂
@@pandaypira4346 Michael V is that you?! Purong Patak Isang Katutak 😂
The dumpling soup is called Molo,my aunt cooks it every new year, and one of my favorites.
the dumpling soup is called “pancit molo” it’s more typically cooked by people in the visayas especially in Iloilo City for the name is derived from a district there. Also, there is a lot of Chinese influence in Filipino cuisine that actually predates the spanish period and one of them is the pancit molo.
If you want to be adopted by a Pinoy family, I'm sure they'd be glad to have you. Pinoys love people who loves to eat. You'll definitely blend in really well.
For anyone who goes to Cris and John's to get a Phoritto, you can get a side of broth with it (in case you don't want to eat an entire bowl with it)! Def the best way.
Mickey should be paid by every state he makes videos in..... he's the BEST advertisement for that state. After spending my time in Seattle Washington... I'm heading straight for Texas!!!!
Its such a joy watching Mikey enjoy all the food from my country. Home-cooked Filipino dishes are the bomb.
PHORITTO ??!!?!??! that is the best food combo I have ever heard of. I can’t believe I’ve gone my whole life not knowing this😭
It’s quite good. Best of two worlds.
I saw a Ramenritto on the menu. Surprised he didn't get that as well.
It could be something that has just been created
I've lived in Dallas for 8 years now and this video only tells me I need to get out and explore more. Love the content and all the places I need to now try. Thanks Mikey!
I’m in the same boat man 😂👍
SUCH A SMALL WORLD, I've been watching your videos for forever and you've been literally to my hood and all the spots I go to on a daily basis. INSANEEEEE. Big fan Mikey!
I like how he doesn't say "try it like that _if_ you come here", it's *when*
Thank you for loving our Filipino dish. ❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭
So awesome seeing you in familiar places enjoying all the food!
DDONG GO is usually poppin'/crowded late at night... It's like the restaurant turned into a nightclub with good food.
Mikey's content is always 🔥. Keep doing what you do cause I've been able to stay fit all 2020 and 2021 by eating vicariously through your channel!!!
I love your reactions, so so so genuine. Just so proud to be a Filipino. Be safe, Mr. Chen! ❤❤
Imagine seeing this buffed up Asian dude next to you order everything on the menu then walk out unfazed and ready to get some more goodies 😂
I would just come up to the guy and ask him if he would be willing to order for for me with my budget and see what combinations he would come up with 😂
He's not really that buff, it's the sodium, bro.
@@hirolla74 I mean he works out quite a bit so i bet a part of it is muscle

If there is culture in a restaurant's menu, Mikey will find it, eat it and help locals explore new food wonders🥢✨🤠
Wish he would come to Atlanta.
I have heard a lot of great things about that Lechon spot. Not too far from me at all. As a Filipino-American from DFW I thank you for helping get the word out!
The Philippines misses you too, Mikey! 🥰🇵🇭
Always waiting for mikey's food vlogs 😌 love to watch them
Everytime I get a notification from Mike I get super excited
Me too 😍
this is why i watch mikey's videos after i wake up so i can start my morning in a positive note
Definitely going to try the Magic Spoon cereal. Thank you for putting the link first in your description!
Love your videos Mike! I'm glad you're exploring Texas since I used to live near Dallas
Finally got permission to build a pit and smoker in my little front garden, can't wait to get to work and start making stuff
So many places I never knew about. Thank you for showcasing them. I will be checking out some of these places.
I love how the filipino resto you went to looked like a provincial carinderia here in the Philippines. If i were away from home for a long time, that resto would have made me feel at home in a heartbeat.
I just moved here to dfw and to have u here hunting the best food spots is amazing .
Notification squadd!!! I was already hungry and seeing mike makes me hungry 1000 more times!! Love you man!!❤️❤️
Having you here in DFW is probably the best thing for my love of trying new food
Finally! Mike is using Spoon when eating pinoy food with rice. 😊
Always a blast to watch. Keep it up.
Eagerly clicking to watch thinking I'd be safe as I've had dinner .... how wrong can I be .. 😭 .. the food looks phenomenal 😍
I absolutely understand getting so hungry I'm not hungry anymore. Glad I'm not alone!!
I lived in DFW and it doesn’t get that bad, your body adjusts really quick. Just keep cereal in a moisture free container because it will get moist.
When you see mikey chen eating filipino food. Dude try everything filipino dishes. Full of flavors. I swear. Love from philippines!
Would definitely love to go eating with you in Dallas area. Compiling a list of new places to go eat.
9:57 you know the food is good when Mikey uses Yoda talk
The delights of popular Filipino and Korean gastronomy. Amazing.💖
Welcome to Texas!! So exciting to see all the great spots of Dallas and the metroplex! You are gonna love all our awesome restaurants and hot spots!
Damn I thought I was safe watching this after lunch. Time for second lunch.
Day 17 of asking: when are we getting international shipping on your hot oil???
9:58 When the filipino food so good it turns Mikey Chen into Yoda, "Stop eating this... I CANNOT!"
I just moved to Frisco a little over a month ago! I had NO IDEA this place existed! I absolutely HAVE to go now! 😍
Korean fried chicken is sooooooo good words can’t explain how much I love it 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Yesssssss i got my friend hooked 😁 so proud of myself
When you took that bite of the crispy Korean fried rice from the bottom, I felt that 🤤🤤🤤🥢🍛🥘🍲
Me too😊 if you know, you know😄
I legit thought the fan in the background while Mikey was eating was a ferris wheel in the distance. Then it started spinning really fast. What kind of ride is that!!! Looked closer oh it's a fan lol.
Love growing up with Filipino food. Sure do miss Grandma's cooking!
lol
You've been here a few weeks and found a great Filipino place. I've been here almost 4 years and this is the first time I've heard of this place!
THAT IS REALLY TRADITIONAL LECHON!
WOOOOOOH!
Some in the Philippines uses steel/stainless steel rods but roasting it on bamboo gives a flavor.
Much love!~ 🔥❤️
I love these new filipino food episodes
There is just something in this guy that you want to watch his youtube videos every single day. Maybe his love for food and his gift of gab. I think its both.
So happy you live here now!!! Can’t wait for a Ramen review 🤤🤤
Wish I was still living in Dallas, would love to meet you Mike!
Mike, nowadays I have started dunking my sandwich in soup and my wife goes "who dunks sandwich in the soup" .. I think I might be able to convince her to do the same ... soon 😂
French dipped?
Love that there also playing a love song in the background, very romantic!!! Just you and the food dancing funky 😂
Thank you for featuring Filipino spots in Dallas man! I hope to see you around!
Whenever Mike gets to OKC and I get to join in on a food tour of the Asian District here, he's going to have to order his eggs on the side since I don't do well with eggs any longer.
Mike I’m so happy you moved to Dallas you’ve given me so many more food reccomendations
Mikey we are enjoying all of the Dallas, TX vlogs. We all can't wait for each new video!! 🤩🤩
So cool he is living in Dallas, TX. Awesome that he is visiting Korean food places. Great stuff.
OMG its so weird seeing Mikey in Dallas now like the H-mart area in Carrolton cus I used to go there all the time when I lived in Dallas 🤣 I'm so sad I won't be able to run into him eating 5 meals 😭wahhhh
he should do guided food tours 😂🤣😂
Oh my goodness that's roasted pig looked absolutely mouth watering. You have some amazing places near you. Now I'm going to bed hungry 😂
moving to dallas later this year and am so excited for the food
I am literally looking up and saving these places on google map while watching this! So close!
ME: WAITING FOR THE ADOBO DISH!! EVERY FILIPINO'S FAVORIIIIITE.😍😍🤤
I never clicked sooo fast in my life. I stopped my work just to watch mikey. love from Philippines ❤️
I always watched your videos in your 2 accounts. I'm happy that you loved Filipino foods and you always said that it's your comfort food. When you come back here in the Philippines, please visit Cagayan de Oro City. 🇵🇭
Best feeling after long hour of school work than going on RUclips to find a new vid, feels amazing 😄👌
Oh my Mikey Chen is in roasted pig heaven. I would love to be there just to eat one of those pig trotters or even taste a little bit of the ears. Not only are you eating good but you're also as you say keeping that skin looking great with all that gelatinous goodness coming from that wonderful pig
I thought you are in the Philippines, with the weather and the native kitchen. With smoke all over the place. Haha. Typically looks like a Philippine province/countryside.
AAAAAH MIKEY GOING TO MY FAVORITE SPOTS LIKE TASTE OF PHILLIPINES AND DDONGGO !! what a dream come true
Those Vietnamese and Korean dishes look so good too
I’m Filipino and I miss lechon! Visit and try Filipino restaurants too here in Houston when you visit. I look forward to your restaurant opening.
Any recommendations? I used to go all the time near the Bel-air area and never was impressed with the ones I found. Then again they were mostly buffets.
@@Doublebarreledsimian recommendations for Filipino food in Houston? For buffet, I like TJ’s Restaurant in Pearland. Go near Jollibee there is a Max’s Restaurant Newly opened and Cherry Foodarama not a buffet. Also, somewhere in Sugarland it’s called Baguio Hut and there is Gerry’s Grill near Belaire.
@@AlluringStenaThanks for the recommendations! Baguio Hut was just ok to me. The folks there are nice though. The turo turo by Jolibee was fine. I will definitely look for TJ's and Cherry Foodarama next time. Glad to hear there's now a Max's. Love their fried chicken. The curse of a mom who can cook and teaches you how to, is that they ruin restaurants lol.
@@Doublebarreledsimian I only ordered Igado at Baguio Hut as I am Ilocano and that’s the only restaurant who serves it. My personal favorite is the TJ’s Filipino Cuisine in Pearland it’s buffet style. Check it out on Saturdays they have sisig included in their buffet and Sundays for lechon. Go there between 10-12n. They serve all day breakfast too.
@@AlluringStena I went to a Max's fried chicken near San Francisco long ago. Not impressed. Seemed they over cook their chicken on purpose for that crispiness.
that monster banh mi makes me so envious of you.
And im sitting here 5:30am in vietnam eating my eggs and meatball banh mi while watching mike! Life couldn't get any better!!
Eating at taste of Philippines now, and my father is enjoying it so much thank you for showing us this place 💕

Loved the background music at the first restaurant!
Mikey you went from Vietnam to The Philippines to Korea all in one day through food lol.
Mikey said come with your friends and order 10 of those skewers each 😂
Dallas/Richardson/Garland/Plano/Carrollton all have doo many good places to eat. So excited to see you explore more!
Also so happy you visited Cris and Johns as well as ddong
OMG...i love this place. everything there are delicious, including dessert!!
Even looking at the Bahn mi, gives my life meaning.
Wish I could eat so muchhh like you! How come you can eat so much and I can’t huhu
Very nice! Found some new spots to try!🤤
i get notification and im happy its a filipino again!! 🥰🥰🥰
You've been a real one. You're an honorary filipino, Mikey!
I’m just amazed how much Mikey can eat. By the way, He has the best job in the world.
