I’ve only been a barista for a couple months now, and have been trying to practice latte art only more recently. I’m a far cry from this, but yesterday I made my first pretty decent heart and I was so proud!
1:20 하트 2:25 튤립 4:20 로제타 6:00 스완 7:05 슬로우로제타 9:00 장미꽃 틈틈히 보면서 연습해야겠어요!! 장미꽃은 처음보는데 엄청 예쁘네요😭 보기만 하면 쉬울 것 같은데 막상 해보면 기본 하트도 어려워서ㅠㅠ 목표는 크게 잡으랬으니까 새 해 목표는 스완 그리기..ㅎㅎㅎ

Soy is kinda tricky... I dunno how many types of soy milk u have..but the one we are using, the barista type it has apple juice in it...so it always lumps up or looks terrible with the espresso shot...all plant based milk are shit honestly. I don't drink them, it's only for the customers.

Hi Joy! I always wonder how do you pour and mix the milk without breaking the crema? You always have very good contrast on your art... I can draw arts but mine doesn't look "clean contrast" like yours. I hope you get what I mean...
That’s because of the foam I guess 😞 Try your best steaming milk and rolling to break the bubbles. If you find some bubbles after steaming, just tap the jug or transfer milk to another jug. It helps milk goes smoother 👍🏻

Yes ur right but increasing tilt will force to come foam too The tirck is use most is that first knock my pitcher few times to make sure if there is bubble and then i move my pitcher in circular motion which swirl my milk which spread foam and milk and helps to mix will and then i start and increase tilt as necessary
I want to improve my latte art but it's too hard right now (I'm a beginner) :((. I keep practicing at work but I also feel bad that I kept serving customers latte with no latte art :(((.
At work i struggle with this a lot because the milk creates a thick bubbly layer of foam and it all fall to the bottom. I’m new to making drinks so any advice is appreciated!🥰
Thanks for sharing. Subjectively, those cappuccinos would be far too watery for me, though! They look like lattes in a wide cup. I much prefer a thicker, more distinct foam layer.
Was thinking the same, they're not really cappuccinos. Noneless, still really great shots and latte skills ! Even after 6 years as a Barista, I still love to watch this, haha ! I just don't have time to focus as much on making so many different patterns, too busy with an average of 200 coffees a day 😭
Hi Joy, awesome latte art! You make it look so easy haha! Any recommendations for best full cream milk for texturing? (I have a espresso machine at home) I’ve tried most brands you can get from coles and woolies. Found out there’s a huge difference with texturing/taste when comparing to what only cafe’s can source like ‘Riverina Gold’. I was once lucky enough to buy a bottle from a cafe (they don’t usually sell their milk to customers) and notice a massive difference with texturing milk when comparing to A2, Pura, Devondale, etc... even the taste!
Peter Ristevski Thanks for the comment 😊 For the milk, I’m using Pauls but I think you can’t buy this milk because this brand milk supply to cafe.. also I used to practice with all kinds of milk from Coles. But for me it’s all the same ..😂 hope you find out the way how to steam, it’s going to be easy for you using all kinds of milk.
Full fat milk is best for the taste that's what I use, I maintains most of the proteins when being heated up and keeps a sweet taste but for design I'm not sure, it always works good for me when I'm banging out my rosettas haha
Got my hands onto Riverina gold again. I can see the difference between this and every other full cream milk you can only buy from a supermarket. Riverina Gold has 9.5g fat per serve and every other brand has around 8.3g fat. When texturing I’ve noticed Riverina always comes out extra creamy and glossy. Taste better too! It’s compliments the tastes of the coffee, doesn’t overtake like other full cream brands I’ve used.

@@Visualmetal Original Almond milk from Alpro froth nicely... maybe is also the brand.. yeah the flavor can be meh!
I can't make not to good latte art but with plant based milk it doesn't work at all for me.... The foam is simply not micro enough
I find that the best soy milk with great results is Bonsoy Soy Milk. Give it a try.

요새 장미꽃연습중인데요 꽃받침 S 모양이 제일 어렵더라고요 슬로우제타할때는 잘되는데 짧게 S 할때는 튤립받침처럼 들어가게되더라고요 유량을 붇는속도가 빨라서 그런지;; 조이님 영상 많이 보고 잇어요 카페알바하면서 연습해보기도 좋고 설명도 해주셔서 도움이 많이 되요 :)

Hi Joy, when pouring milk, how do you know when the foam will come out (instead of the milk liquid) so that you can start drawing arts?
Foam is at the top so when you start getting closer to the coffee the foam will come out

What kind of milk do you use, Barista Joy? My coffee shop uses mainly low fat milk, and I wonder if it’s harder to make art.
full cream milk, skim, Oat, Almond and Soy

At work i struggle with this a lot because the milk creates a thick bubbly layer of foam and it all fall to the bottom. I’m new to making drinks so any advice is appreciated!🥰
Thanks for sharing. Subjectively, those cappuccinos would be far too watery for me, though! They look like lattes in a wide cup. I much prefer a thicker, more distinct foam layer.
Was thinking the same, they're not really cappuccinos. Noneless, still really great shots and latte skills ! Even after 6 years as a Barista, I still love to watch this, haha ! I just don't have time to focus as much on making so many different patterns, too busy with an average of 200 coffees a day 😭

Hi Joy, awesome latte art! You make it look so easy haha! Any recommendations for best full cream milk for texturing? (I have a espresso machine at home) I’ve tried most brands you can get from coles and woolies. Found out there’s a huge difference with texturing/taste when comparing to what only cafe’s can source like ‘Riverina Gold’. I was once lucky enough to buy a bottle from a cafe (they don’t usually sell their milk to customers) and notice a massive difference with texturing milk when comparing to A2, Pura, Devondale, etc... even the taste!
Peter Ristevski Thanks for the comment 😊 For the milk, I’m using Pauls but I think you can’t buy this milk because this brand milk supply to cafe.. also I used to practice with all kinds of milk from Coles. But for me it’s all the same ..😂 hope you find out the way how to steam, it’s going to be easy for you using all kinds of milk.
Full fat milk is best for the taste that's what I use, I maintains most of the proteins when being heated up and keeps a sweet taste but for design I'm not sure, it always works good for me when I'm banging out my rosettas haha
Got my hands onto Riverina gold again. I can see the difference between this and every other full cream milk you can only buy from a supermarket. Riverina Gold has 9.5g fat per serve and every other brand has around 8.3g fat. When texturing I’ve noticed Riverina always comes out extra creamy and glossy. Taste better too! It’s compliments the tastes of the coffee, doesn’t overtake like other full cream brands I’ve used.

If i froth lit bit longer the milk texture is bad
Need suggestions
After 3sec steaming turn on, and then try to make foam. That’s a tip for you :) If the machine power is not strong, it’s better making foam slowly
