    Hi. Stan here from Ludowici, Georgia. My 7'x14' arrived May 26th. I can relate to your storage delima as I am doing it as well, plus sleeping in it on a roll away bed. That slows the process even more. Yep, no A/C!! I've decided not to be in a rush and enjoy the process. Been raining here every afternoon lately too. Picked and froze black berries between rain showers. Thanks Bill & Deb. You guys are an encouragement to keep on keeping on!

      Hi Laura. This is Stan. I can recommend a great church for your daughter. Trinity Baptist Church is located on Lee Place Road, NE. It's near the Liberty County line. They are back to full services, 10 AM for Sunday School, 11 AM for Sunday morning worship, 6:30 PM Sunday evenings and 7 PM Wednesday Bible study. All services have a nursery for infants - 3, children program for 4 - 6 and other youth classes. :-)

We originally had placed our shower water tank under the shower pan. This created a 14" step up for entry. Now with your gracious giving of your time we saw that a shower sump pump exist and are going to drop and move the tank and have a normal shower pan setup and step in height. Thank you so very much. God's speed.

My refrigerator/freezer, diesel heater, main ventilation fan, water pump, and USB outlets are 24v. I also found 24v lighting but didn't like it as well as what was available in 12v. Bill & Deb , amazing job on the build. Heads up on the solar, 440 Ah @ 12volts will not be strong enough to things like microwave, slow cooker, AC or any of that. You have the dimensions for a lot of panels on the roof, but your battery bank will need to be quadrupled. I am only mentioning this because the Tiny Wanderer is 100% solar, and I literally will need to redo the entire thing this summer.

    • @billanddeb
      @billanddeb  3 года назад +1

      The 12 volt step down transformer is only for basic 12 volt appliances like led lights, the sump pump and the fresh water pump. The 3,000 watt pure sign wave inverter is a 24 volt unit. We're not really going all out to be fully and totally self contained. This system is mainly to allow us for that occasional 2 to 3 night boondocking excursion augmented with a small inverter generator. Since we arrived in Florida, our maxair fan has ran nonstop and we've been showering every day (using the sump pump) for 4 days and the battery bank is still at 77%

      @@billanddeb how many panels @ what size, or are you just recharging battery bank via 50amp service when plugged in? I am confused to the exact setup.

    • @billanddeb
      @billanddeb  3 года назад

      @@TinyWanderland panels are on the list but they'll come later as funds become available. For now we're installing two power inlets. The standard 50 amp inlet, and a 15 amp inlet. The receptacle that powers the charger will be able to source its power from either power source via an a/b switch. This will allow us to moochdock on friends driveways with only a 15 amp power source. When connected to a 15 amp power source, it will keep our battery bank topped off while running on our inverter, with limited use of our 120 volt appliances.

    Also, what dimensions of wood did you use for framing your bed; your kitchen cabinetry; and, your raised platform for the shower pan?

    • @billanddeb
      @billanddeb  Год назад +1

      The wall panels are 5 mill (3/16 inch). Got it at Lowes. The Kitchen Cabinets were commissioned at a cabinet shop. All plywood and "one by" framing. All of the framing (bed frame, raised bathroom floor etc) are 2×2 (1 1/2×1 1/2) framing. The "walls" of the bedframe and raised floor were built using basic framing techniques. The "studs" are 2×2s with the top and bottom plates being 1×2s with an additional 1×2 top plate to tie in the connecting walls (just like framing a house). It came out light and very strong. We've been on the road now (with this trailer) about 1 1/2 years and everything has held up great. We have yet had the need to tighten a single screw or repair anything concerning the construction technique.
