    Great combination of exercises! Reminds me that I need to do some sprints again

      Yes sprint training is such feel good movement! To me its 100x more enjoyable than long slow distance training 😮 really working the bridges this week, trying to get more consistency, trouble is, as one thing improves, another worsens!

      😮😮😅😅 I'm surprised Rev didn't pick up on that one ! Unintentional! Just didn't want my t-shirt to get drenched in sweat (despite the cold)

      @@reverendterminatorI understand. It takes awhile to reply and check out lots of others. I'm glad I only get four or five people, it's ok to support and chat with five

    HG testing to see if you can get dizzy on the horizontal plane.

      Hehe I was a bit dizzy after 8 rotations! But not as much as 8 cartwheels

    It feels like a warm up and stretching are even more important to you with the extra range of movement you go for?

      I generally do about five minutes, but I do also usually warm up throughout the day before I do the afternoon session, movement here and there and stretching etc, so before the main workout I can just make sure I'm feeling ok to try the moves, then the moves themselves are quite therapeutic, back bridges are meant to be good for the spine, cartwheels are a good side stretch, low resting squats, it's quite restorative compared to burpees really I'd have to say. I did two sprints at the weekend and temporarily pulled an inner leg muscle, limped back to the car, but it was fine the next day. That was without a warmup, just messing around, but showed me it's a bit risky to try and run fast cold

    Back to back ground flows! How’s the sprint training going?

    • @HybridGym
      @HybridGym  4 дня назад +1

      Hey just watched your muscles ups a few times, well done! You're really gonna progress a lot on rings flow now if you want to! I didn't have quite as much tme as I'd like for optimal sprint training, I'm not resting enough between sets, but it feels like ots doing something! Its feel good training and meant to have a good hormonal boost too

      @ hey thanks! Gotta try some of the forward rolls on rings and see if I like it 😅. The sprinting here definitely looks fast! And yeah, I gotta imagine sprinting has a lot of positive effects on the body, including hormonal boosts.

      I think sprint training is a good substitute for having a legs day too, I'm not intending to do anything in a gym, with weights, and I like the idea of being fast and dynamic, so it's a good fit for me I'd say 👍 with your set up though, hot humid climate, office job sometimes, and no injuries, I can see why sandbag and gym might suit you better. I think yes, you can start the ring roll right now ! The lack of confidence might mean you bail it, I probably did the first few times, but it really is a matter of just pulling as you roll over, trying not to roll too fast, legs a bit extended, and you'll probably get it straight away! The feeling of doing a muscle up to roll, to ... Etc... etc.... is very liberating. I'd say the MU is a technically harder move to complete, and probably a little more effort too

      @@HybridGym sprinting definitely builds the legs! Along with athleticism and cardio gains, it’s a no brainer. Now that I think about it, I should probably do it too! Haha. I did try forward roll 1 time and I got scared and bailed out immediately 😅😂

    • @HybridGym

      I advise you watch 'forward rolls and what can go wrong '😉🙃🫢 seriously, I get that, it's such an odd thing to do up in the air! But honestly, if I can do it, you can do it absolutely 100% no doubt, its honestly no harder than a pull-up, think of it as a pull-up rotation, but in one way it's easier, you're holding the pull-up half way up, and the rotation momentum helps you more than a MU does in getting back to the low support hold position. But also allowing the rings to rotate 360 laterally is also a bit odd too, just allow it to happen. Thinking about it, a forward roll for me is about half the effort, I can do about 8 in a row or more, MU's get ragged after 2/3 and 4/5 would be an all out best at the moment with a lot of leg swing assistance
