    Corey I wanted to thank you for your instructional calling videos. My hunting partner and I have had over 50% but we do hunt on private land occasionally. Your instruction videos are comprehensive and have really help me out with my calling and set up thanks. We are going on a Tully Elk hunt next year and hope we are successful thanks again

    You make it look and sound so easy! I watch so many others get red in the face and not sound nearly as good as you. I have used diaphragm calls for a long time and you are certainly teaching me something new!

    Corey, because of your diaphragm elk calling videos I’ve been able to relearn how to elk call dropping the bad habits I picked up initially. Thanks! Best calls ever!

    After years of committed efforts, I found success in the “width” of the diaphragm...being preferably on the narrower side. Thanks!!

    Corey... I've been trying to "chuckle" since last year. I got a new Raging Bull diaphragm call coming (which seems to work best for me) and hopefully it helps.

    Question for a new diaphragm user: how do you control drooling? I honeslty had NO idea I have such a not dry mouth and after even short practice sessions, my call is wet. Just keep a handkerchief with me?
    Thanks so much for the awesome videos.

    Hardest part is air from diaphragm and tongue pressure being "equal"... sometimes the reed stops. Loving learning this. Can call just about everything in... but gotta call in an elk to check the box. I have the elk101 calls orange, green, white... what is the difference if any? seems like orange is highest pitched. Hard to tell when I'm making them squeal. hahaha

    • @TJ-bg4fw
      @TJ-bg4fw 2 года назад

      I’ve noticed the higher the pitch the “younger” the sound. Which makes sense, considering our voices and other animals vocals change as they age. Not using these folk’s calls so idk about their calls pitching.

    Just spent $40 on a bully bull bugle tube, which kind of resembles an ATF funnel, and will be honking on it this coming few days. I expect elk to come strolling in with in 20 minutes at starting... 😃

  • @randyhelgeson1254
    @randyhelgeson1254 3 года назад

    Corey, are you biting down on the very end of the diaphragm?
    I am for the time being.
    I don't know if I can just keep the diaphragm up in my palate due to my upper denture.
    I can sound like a cow though.
    I practice with other videos that have the elk cows chatting.
    Ps my dogs loved watching this video. Lol.

    • @lspostma

      In one of the early videos they did for Bugling Bulls Calls, they did have a bull come to investigate their calls... and a couple of others responded from off in the background.

  • @MrWetrek

    I find cadence to be the hardest part of the chuckle. I’d love to see a video on how to get that cadence just right.

    • @richiegonzales6750
      @richiegonzales6750 5 лет назад +3

      John,
      There is no perfect cadence to calling. I have seen many bulls change their cadence depending on their frustration level....
      Practice makes perfect my friend. Smaller bulls tend not to chuckle too much, herd bulls chuckle more as they get older.....

    Hey have you trimmed the sides of your champ call? Also, I find that I can use the All star much better than I can the contender or the champ. But in my mind it doesnt make all that much sense, because when i look at them architecturally they seem very similar. I know latex is different in them, but is that a common thing you hear? Or is it that if you can use one you should be able to use them all?
