- Can you believe it's June already? Time for an end of May plot tour and a little update on plans at the plot.
Most things have been eaten, so it's time to start from scratch again - but we'll get there.
Come join me on the journey.

Lovely to have a place to sit and chat. But yep it’s so cold and wet here it’s not stopped raining for days. Hopefully by mid June 😂😂. Have a fab week chin up Mark, Ali 🌧️🌧️🥶🇨🇦
Forecast is Sun and some rain, but not Sun this week - so let’s hope for some decent weather.
Another plot holder used "sour dough" starter, basically flour and water left to ferment as slug bait. They got a lot of slugs after smearing bits of cardboard with the paste. The cardboard was either thrown in the compost or trash bin.
Slugs and weeds have one commonality, the more gone the less work.
Alternative I know works is beer traps, even non-alcoholic beer.
Copper tape is another but it needs to be applied to the boards around raised beds.
After all the rain the plastic is one place the slugs will use to stay out of the sun. See if you can put something else down.
Thanks for the tip
I plan on uncovering everything else and getting rid and working the ground.
👍👍👍
