I'm not too sure about spritzing the tops of the pots. I stick with bottom watering, but I'd expect someone with more knowledge to comment. I only sowed my seeds on 16th January, so I'm behind most people for Petes GOGC2425. Yours look to be starting to thicken up a little 😊

Hi Mark Keep an eye under the pots and once you see the roots coming out it is time to pot on. The mushrooms must be already in the compost. I am watering my onions maybe every 3 days now with a weak feed of Fish Emulsion, Cali Mag and Seasol Take care and good luck. 👍👍👍👍👍🧅🧅🧅🧅🧅

Mushrooms will be from spores in the soil not a big deal means the soil is healthy. I don’t think you need the heat mat anymore though

I normally pot things on when the roots start popping out of the bottom. The mushroom spores are most likely in the compost and can wouldn’t worry about them.

These look a bit spindly, they need more light. I would get rid of half of them and put them on one shelf with both of the lights on them. Pots are big enough for the time being, just look a little dry. I wouldnt worry about the mushrooms, they only grow on dead material in the compost.

Thanks for the update Mark, one thing I would of suggested is the use of mycorrhizal fungus on the roots, it really does make a difference especially at potting on, when you can put it directly on them. Vitax do one called Q4 rootmore and it’s not too expensive ranging from £7-£27 depending on the size of the sachet or tub. It might be something worth considering, as it can be used for any plants you are potting on or bare root planting.

Even a tree starts out as a droopy twig 😂 so give them time. I found out round pots are cheaper to make than square ones 😢 that’s why square cost more. I don’t have stand up sticks either so I guess the big boys use them we better too 😂. Glad your sounding and feeling better, Ali 🌞🥶🇨🇦

That’s one job ticked off the list. I love potting on but I’ve nothing of any great size yet to pot on! I agree 100% re Elf on shelf. Fortunately my girls are now mums themselves so it’s over to them to worry about!! I hope you did a good job tidying up that mess😂😂😂

Pruning rule is normally a third, but definitely Ross over branches and it depends do you want it tall if not take off some top spindly branches and tiny bits at the bottom.
