Sucks that the bite was tough but I'm glad you both landed fish. That one you lost right next to Trapper Kent was really nice. Looking forward to the next one!
😂🤣👍 Trish had never heard of Sheetz before so I figured it would be funny to take her there and get some more drinks and snacks for the last leg of the trip. Good thing we did... Google tried to whup us! That wasn't even a road!!! As it turns out, it's an ATV trail that leads up and over the mountain and to my sister's house. It's been blocked by boulders at the top so we wouldn't have made it anyway lol. Man... my truck needed some serious repairs and 2 new tires after that little jaunt. The custom spoon he was using is actually made by a local lure maker. It did look a bit strange but hey... it definitely gets their attention. Kent had one swipe at it almost right away! The bite was tough mostly due to fishing pressure. That creek runs right along the road and the deep pools are very accessible. I was just glad to catch one on the Trout Tickler Lures that Reece and Mike gave me! Trout are a tough species to land sometimes... when you set that hook they go ballistic!!!! It was absolutely a gorgeous place to fish! Creek fishing like that is definitely in my top 3 favorite types of fishing to do. There is real beauty in getting on a new stream and never knowing what is just around the next bend! Trout are an amazingly beautiful fish to catch and I'm always impressed by them... even the small ones. I think there was some brook trout in there, we just didn't catch any of them. Great video! Love the pike at the start! They are crazy feisty and will get you with the hook. I've been hooked past the barb in my hand twice before. Beautiful trout! Those brown trout are my favorite. I actually just ended up catching my first one ever and it was huge! I'll have a video up shortly if you wanted to check it out!
Thank you kindly! Pike are absolutely one of the best boat rage fish around lol. In that episode, I set a record for most Pike I have caught in a day, with the injury! You would be surprised at how something so minor could really become cumbersome while continuing your day. I have been very fortunate to have never had a hook stuck in me... knock on wood! Trout fishing in streams like that is hands down top 3 types of fishing in my book!!! I have fished many years with Trapper Kent and its always a real treat. I'll have to check out your video! I've had the same thing happen with Google Maps on a road trip. What a gorgeous area and a couple close calls before you guys landed a couple beautiful Trout. Great job and nice teaser for the next one. Cheers!
😂🤣👍 yeah, I've been duped by Google maps a time or two. That was actually not even a road, it was an ATV trail lol. It also turns out that it was trying to take us up and over the mountain to get to my sister's house... but the way has been blocked by massive boulders so we wouldn't have made it. Needless to say, my truck needed some serious repairs and 2 new tires after that excursion 😵💫. I have never had a dull trip when it comes to fishing with Trapper Kent! Awesome dude and incredible outdoorsman. Kind of a wild ride with the trout creek... but that is what I love sooo much about it! You never know what is around the next bend or what is hiding in an insanely shallow pool lol. As always, I appreciate your support 👍
It is one of countless creeks that Pennsylvania has to offer and it was absolutely gorgeous to fish there! Always a good time to hang with Trapper Kent!!! Him and I have had a ton of great trout fishing and covered alot of creeks along the way over the years. The beauty of creek fishing a new place is never knowing what is around the next bend! The ned rigs are pretty sweet!!! I just recently started using them myself and definitely like that I did lol. Although in this video, I was mostly just swimming it and not bottom fishing it. It was absolutely incredible! Even with a tough bite on some highly pressured fish, still got in some pretty epic action. I was really glad to have been able to put the lures you and Reece gave me to good use. That was definitely what they were wanting! Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Me too loL!!! PA is very generous with their stocking program and they put a lot of quality fish in those creeks. It really doesn't take much to hold trout in those creeks either. Just a few inches deep of moving water and bingo! I wish Texas was as generous with their stocking program. We only get rainbow trout and the average size is about 8-10 inches with the occasional 12 or 13 inch mixed in. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
