When you hit that low E there's something spectacular that manifests in my mind, like a sort of wondering amazement, and then dissipates as the song continues. I want that feeling like nothing else. I wish I knew what it is. Debussy was truly a remarkable composer.
listen to rachmaninov op 32 no 5. i get the exact same feeling when the single broken chord is played in the left hand. you’ll know it when you hear it
currently arranging this for woodwind quintet. even though debussy is one of my all time favorite composers already, this performance has breathed life into my efforts 😊
Delightful as always! Really hoping to hear more Debussy from you. I believe Passepied and Golliwogg's Cakewalk would suit your style of playing very well. However the one I would wish for the most has to be Pagodes. Heard it a couple of times before, but just recently fell completely in love with it. An amazingly haunting piece with it's oriental atmosphere, inspired by the Indonesian Gamelan music Debussy had heard at the Paris Universal Exposition in 1889. Thank you for the great work and of course I wish you and your family a happy new year!
Probably my third favorite by Debussy! The first is La Cathedral Engloutie, Second, Reflections in the Water, (Don't remember the French name,) Third, this.
Hi there, I was wondering if I could use your recording of the composition in a student film I made? I would, of course, give you attribution in the credits.
Does anyone have any good recommendations on how to play this song well? I'm playing it for an exam, but I'm not really improving no matter how much I practiced for it...
I find it quite difficult so far as well. Only good advice is to go really slow, and really play the rhythmic with a heavy focus on the rhythm, separate hands.
When starting to learn a new piece its important to first play it from start till finish, and then you can practice sections that you have difficulty playing. I personally like to play with the tempo on some parts(e.g. abruptly accelerate and slow down) until I memorize how and where my hands should be positioned.
classical music only Hi Bach. I truly love what you have done. Im currently composing a fugue in your honor. Its been 3 weeks and I finished part 1. Its pretty.

Reflets dan l'eau :)
Clair de lune
Lovely performance, thank you!
Le decrescendo a 1:27 est magnifiquement exécuté
Great intepretation :)
Considering you post new pieces so often, how do you approach a new piece? When do you start picking up on speed etc?
Awesome interpretation!
Luke Tuke can you see my videos
Woowwi learned snow is dancing, golliwoggs cakewlk, and doctor gradus, I am SO learning this one, it’s beautiful!
Seems easier than the others cause there really isn’t many notes in it and it isn’t very fast, but it’s certainly one of my favorites
Have you learnt it yet? :)
Fantastic piece! Though it sound more like rain drops dripping onto the surface of the pond😂
Yep

GREAT
yeah my friend! I like your video and I thank you for the promotion of good music.
Very nice except for the articulation at 0:44. Got it on the second time though
I think it was fine
I think the diminuendo at 1:15 is the best though
Awesome!

2:07-2:13 spectral debussy?
This provided the theme for "Liz on top of the world" for the Pride and Prejudice movie
oh that’s why i like that one so much
Is this harder than doctor gradus? ( i can Play doctor gradus)
Danny Obi no, I play both and this was so much faster to learn and easier!!
Depends really, for me I find flowing pieces like doctor gradus easier to learn than this piece which is focused on chords.
In my opinion a bit.
Hola Paul, podrías por favor tratar esta obra,
Intermezzo Op 118 No 2 - Johannes Brahms,
Thanks
Great!!!
your hands look just like mine. neat piece!

classical music only In answer to your question: no Bach, I cannot see, but I can hear your videos and that is the most important "sight" in music.
Tomita would have made such a beautiful cover of this song
Thanks

Debussy's music is so strange.
republiccooper Well, he was a very strange man I’ve read. So quite on-point actually.
at 0 54 you play the c sharp sincapated rythmns in the left hand wrong
True, the rhythm is wrong
Nice catch
Sono qui solo per un compito
