Another daily highlight of my day, Thanks Adam! I really think you made the right decision to get back on the road again, you've got that same spunk you had before moving to CA. BTW interesting factoid about Sam Kinnison, I never knew he was a preacher...I'm guessing Andrew Dice Clay must have been an alter boy...
Hi Adam! Here a message from Holland. We love your zany journeys, and we watch The Daily woo everyday!! Love your Arny impressions!!! Love and greetings from The Netherlands!!
Adam...honestly I think that THIS is what you were born to do. I get to travel with you and learn the history of small town America without having to leave my living room. These kind of videos are my very favorite, and you get better and better each and every day. The addition of the little drone was genius. From one former Williams to another (and my oldest son is named Adam) have a great and wonderful day. Looking forward to tomorrow!!
when you walked into that field I knew exactly where u went!! and the house!! 6th grade summer school, that was the first book I ever read on my own. it is now my kids favorite book and movie! stay golden Adam The Woo!
Really great vlogs Adam! I reallyfound Miami Ok a very warm and friendly town as a retail outlet I worked for had a store there that went out of business in 1998! I never lived in Oklahoma but love the state & very friendly people that live there! Take care Adam and hope you are truly are at peace & happy at being on the road again! Thank you for sharing all these memories with us!
I have enjoyed your videos over the last 10 or so months. I have lived in Oklahoma my whole life. Thank you for the time and energy you spent making these videos.
Yes; he's clearly doing his best to be respectful of others. I have noticed that he's obviously asking if he can record people; sometimes they say yes, sometimes they say audio only, sometimes neither - for example he clearly had several minutes of friendly conversation with the cops near Mantle's place, but did not publish any of it. That's the way it should be done!
Wow! More "GOOD STUFF" today. This last week has been just fantastic. And the Mantle home was great. You hit a grand slam with this one. Thanks for the look in .
This is great content. There's a very genuine quality to it that you don't find on RUclips anymore. That you're open to the wonders of the smallest things opens up a much bigger world. Thanks for sharing it with us. I haven't dug back deep enough into your vlogs to see if you've been to 4 corners (AZ, NM, CO & UT) but if not you should the next time you head back west. Of course it's so famous it's almost cliche' but still fun to see.
Did you know that the four corners monument isn't on the actual four corners? The site is actually on an Indian reservation several hundred yards away. The big concrete stand and photo op center was put where it is for easy tourist access...so anyone who stands on that nice monument isn't actually in four states; I guess the builders figured no one would realize? So as a fan of geography, I give the Four Corners monument a big thumbs down!
+MENT ACLE Considering what a pain it is to get there from any of those 4 states as it's literally in the middle of nowhere on the Navajo reservation I think most would allow for a margin of error smaller than what you get from looking up an address on zillow.
I love watching Adamthewoo, he is not only entertaining, but is not pretentious, and he is down to Earth.. Keep being yourself Adam, this globe is blessed to have ya.. :)
I'm glad you stopped by The Outsiders house again. That's one place I'd really like to see. My favorite book of all time and one of my favorite movies. I'm glad it's being preserved!
Another wonderful blog, get as much information about your past and the history of America. Evel Knievel is a person you never forget, thank you for sharing.
We're really enjoying watching your travels across route 66. I've said it a million times already, but I will go ahead and say it again "thanks for sharing!"☺
When you hit OK my wife asked if the Howard Johnson's that went over the interstate was still there. I told her I didn't know for sure. Now I do. Awesome vlogs! Good luck, keep up the great work and above all be safe...
Man, you have really picked the right path, in more ways than one. Absolutely loving this journey, and it has only just begun! I feel like I am travelling with you, and thank you so much for doing this! I can really see your passion being fulfilled! Thanks for taking a 59 year old on the trip of a lifetime!
'Stay Golden Ponyboy' (Adam)...loving the last two days! Very cool interesting visits --- my hometown was small growing up but now a thriving metropolis.... Not too much remains the same...wish I could go back & see the old buildings again....very awesome to see
Great episode! The Outsiders' house and especially the very yard where MM learned how to switch hit - holy crap, I can't believe that shed is still standing! Thanks for going out of the way to visit those spots and for sharing them with us. Really special!
I am actually loving this new blog i found . I love history and site seeing. Thank u for doing this. I have always wanted to travel across state ( from California ) but not been able too. I look forward every day for the next adventure.
Just get better and better Adam...................... man your killing this road trip................. I feel like I have almost sat next to you in the van as you eat up the miles................. the mix of your own family memories and those of famous, and infamous people from the places you have lived, or visited over the past 30 years or so. Your looking so happy, even the corny one liners are making a comeback............ i so want to watch that film now, can't get my head around how so many huge film actors were in that house in one time............. for you to actually stand there must of been a real buzz. Copy righted route 66 cookies................. thats awesome too, and they looked scrummy. As for walking in that civic hall and seeing the plinth that your Grand Father stood at was out of this world, and for you must of been awesome. The story of the wayward preacher had some irony to it......... thanks for sharing that, I hadn't heard of him, being from the UK and all. Well, looking forward to more tomorrow, happy travels Adam.
This was on of the best videos you have ever made. Since, you talked about The Outsiders' house; I've decide to donate to the GoFundMe page in restoring the house! Thank you, Adam!
That was lovely of you! 😃 Very nice! Man, I was 15 when that movie came out, and my little friends and I were crazy koo koo for the boys in that movie. Haven't thought about that in years!
This was awesome! I've been to that service stop outside of Tulsa--my parents, my grandma and I stopped there once on the way back from visiting my great-grandma in Columbus, KS. It was the early 90s, and back then it was just a McDonald's and a gift shop. I bought a necklace while we were there, and after we got home I had fun telling people I got it at McDonald's. The place looks great since they restored it--a lot more open. Thanks, Adam for taking us with you on your journey. Looking forward to tomorrow... :-)
Wow the Mick's house! I remember Sam Kinison big in the 90's screamed a lot some of his stuff was funny not all. A former preacher from a line of preachers amazing. The way he died was sad. Keep up the great Video blogs Adam.
Once again, Adam, you do not disappoint. I've come to look forward to your daily vlogs. You appreciate things most people overlook. You are positive without being cloying. Drone footage is fantastic.
Wow that was cool, a police excort to mickey mantle's house. You touched so many places and right down the road from one after another. Did you plane that? This trip is so great. To know that much of you family's history. That man that cleaned himself up, god know when your coming home. Chirp
That's so cool that they're turning the "Outsiders" house into a museum. Neat motorcycle museum, too! And that was so nice of the policeman to give you a escort to Mickey Mantle's house. And for sure, there is history all around us. What a great road trip! And even a Route 66 cookie! Happy travels, Adam! Stay safe. :-)
We stopped by here this week and was honored to leave out name next to yours you made this year after your 2016 mark became faded. Love your videos and keep them coming. you're family to many of us. I wanted to leave a picture of it in the comments here, but I'm either not able to or I'm just not that use to the RUclips program. Thanx.
Awesome vlog man! loved the peek into the Outsiders house and the dront shots of the tri state area. would have thought Sam Kinisons grave stone would have been a little more than that, didnt look like anyones been there besides you in a long time. glad to see you, visiting historical places and people who are gone from our world, its putting good energy back in the world, Thanks Adam!
Adam. Wow. I lived in Tulsa for 6 years. My sone was born there. We actually lived in Bixby. Then Tulsa. I am in the hotel business. So I travelled all the backroads. I have been watching your videos for some time but recently started going through your older videos. Thank you. Thank you. Memories. I remember when that McDonald’s had the golden arch.
I haven't seen this video in a while. It's amazing how much you cover in this one video. Outsiders to Mickey Mantels house where he learned to switch hit! I woke up bummed out over the Dodgers loosing game 1 yesterday. This video is classic!!! Thank you
Adam love the historic sites and info you provide for all of us that cant get to these sites and the comedy you throw in is awesome!!! Appreciate your time and effort!! Keep rockin!!!
The REASON Picher, OK is abandoned is because the mining that was taking place there directly underneath the town has rendered most of it's buildings un-stable and ready to collapse. Also, there are huge piles of toxic waste material all over the place which are dangerous to even be around. The government even had to forcibly remove a few people who didn't want to leave. It's a fascinating story -----> www.wired.com/2010/08/ff_madmaxtown/
I was hoping you would do a stop at Picher, perhaps in the future a full blown Adam the Woo video can be done on Picher, Cardin, OK and Treece, KS! There have been some strong thunderstorms in Missouri this morning, stay safe Adam.
Thanks for another great video Adam. Im a huge Yankees fan and seeing Mantle's home was awesome. I'd love to make it out there myself some time. Safe travels.
The most random, yet interesting stuff I've ever seen on a RUclips channel. I Loved Evel K. I use to have the action figure and motorized bike. I'm a huge fan of the "then and now" phenomenon of landscapes and urban centres. I got hooked on your videos when I saw your visit to the Alamo shooting location, and your natural passion for exploring really shines through. I wish I was retired so I could do this sort of thing. Enjoy the rest of your road trip.
Your video about growing up in Eufala really brought back memories. We stopped there for supplies on our way to Lake Tenkiller. Lake Eufala has more shoreline than any Great Lake. Just a little trivia for you.
I graduated from Picher Ok. Class of 2000. I can't believe you came right through my area. And I missed it. 😟. There was also a town called Treece Ks right passed that abandoned gas station. It is also gone, I grew up there. There was a stone plaque dedicated to Treece and the people who lived there.
I just wanted to let you know that you have inspired me to stop drinking soda. I have been wanting to quit and drink water instead for a long time , but me husband drinks a lot of soda and it is always available in the house and it makes it difficult. Well yesterday I started tapering down and by next week I will be off of it. I feel so much better now that I am drinking more water. Thank you for sharing your journey and weight loss, you never know how many people you might be helping by sharing your journey.
Great one Adam! This video was full of goodness! I seen a documentary on Picher Oklahoma a while ago,If I remember right , The ground water is contaminated. I have stood in 3 states at the same time before, on Chain Rock in Pine Mountain , Ky. You can stand in Ky, Tennessee, and West Virginia. That is awesome that the outsiders house is being saved.
Glad you got to see this! I've been trying to get ahold of you forever on this since your Dad said you used to live here as a young pup and knowing you have a baseball tag on your van. There are some abandoned buildings in Commerce and right beside the Mantle statue is the toxic water that comes from the Picher mines. It flows beneath the school which is amazing since the school is still used. That whole area is made up of several towns and there are still some buildings you can go in. The school for Picher is still there and the tribal police might have let you go in there if you had spoken to them. There are a few people still living in the area. The amazing thing about this place is how toxic it is and yet many of the things in the area are still consumed by people. Water, corn, honey and cattle are just some of those things. Great to see you here finally!
Thanks for following along
Another daily highlight of my day, Thanks Adam! I really think you made the right decision to get back on the road again, you've got that same spunk you had before moving to CA. BTW interesting factoid about Sam Kinnison, I never knew he was a preacher...I'm guessing Andrew Dice Clay must have been an alter boy...

You got a another really great video blog. I went to one of Sam Kinison's shows during college in 1987.
Great continuity on the shots - really puts us right next to you!
I once watched a documentary on abandoned towns, and Picher was featured. Fascinating stuff.
Adam.
Keeps getting better and better!
america is totally full of historical gems...thanks for diggin em up. i never go anywhere so i am lovin this stuff! MICKEY freakin MANTLE!!! amazing
You are correct on OKC #1 and Tulsa #2 in terms of population for Oklahoma!
I haven't seen this video in a while. It's amazing how much you cover in this one video. Outsiders to Mickey Mantels house where he learned to switch hit! I woke up bummed out over the Dodgers loosing game 1 yesterday. This video is classic!!! Thank you

I am surprised that Adam didn't do more of a back story on Picher.
+David Waits I was surprised about that too.
Pichers problem was toxic lead levels from the mining and the material left behind. It is a federal super fund site to clean it up
Neat Netflix documentary about Picher. You must watch.
Great vlog today Adam. Thank you.
This TDW is pure awesomeness, you are living the dream man
I was hoping you would do a stop at Picher, perhaps in the future a full blown Adam the Woo video can be done on Picher, Cardin, OK and Treece, KS! There have been some strong thunderstorms in Missouri this morning, stay safe Adam.
How cool to get to be in 3 places at once! Thanks for sharing. Be safe.

love these travel vlogs! learning a lot and enjoying the small town americana
Thankyou for what you do. so well.
I wish I was retired so I could do this sort of thing. i feel like Ive said this everyday for a week now but... another awesome vlog! thanks for sharing!
Thank you for showing us Picher. I wondered what that place looked like these days.
Your video about growing up in Eufala really brought back memories. We stopped there for supplies on our way to Lake Tenkiller. Lake Eufala has more shoreline than any Great Lake. Just a little trivia for you.
An Evel Knievel room! Life goals. The license plate on Sam Kinison's Corvette read "EX REV." Gone too soon. Really loving this road trip Adam!
I have only one complaint Adam.. Your videos are not long enough!! I need more!!! Keep up the good work! Love the haircut!
how is it possible? It just gets better and better! Safe travels, love the drone work!
Thanks as Always. Your vlog helps me get through this brutal AZ summer. The daily history lesson is greatly appreciated. :)
That was awesome Adam thank you
