It seems irrelevant but one of the things I like about your videos is that you include the ambient sounds of the places that you visit- you're not overdubbing or filling the audio track with just you speaking. It's nice to not only see the field where you used to play but also to hear the insects and the birds in the area while I'm looking at it. It reall adds to the "being there" aspect of it.
Adam, this vlog was such a sweet trip down you're memory lane... thank you for giving us all as lil insight into the people, places and moments that made you the incredible guy you are today! I'm not sure you are aware of the happiness you bring to others....thank you! safe travels friend!
Also...I love when people I care about take me on a road trip to see their old stomping grounds! I make them show me everthing from their childhood! Haha. So today's vlog was just perfect! Thank u Adam!
I have a passion for memories and I never want to forget, I don't want to die with my memories. I'm keeping journals, poems, diaries, and preparing to write a book about my husband's illness, and recently got into RUclips. the only problem is not a 4k hd camera yet lol. videos will continue. THANKS FOR WATCHING
I'm not a huge trek fan but one quote I'll never forget is 'time is the fire in which we all burn'. Yet another great vlog dude, yet another great vlog.
This may be my favorite episode ever. I love the personal recollections and the obvious special place they hold in your heart. Thanks for sharing Adam. Safe travels!
Your closing statements at 12:12 are absolutely true. We take so much for granted these days and nothing moves faster than time. What a great idea to go back and not only film locations that were dear to you growing up, but also to retell the stories that made them special. I recently learned of the closing of 2 of my favorite childhood attractions (a miniature golf course/sports park in Indiana and a huge petting zoo in Michigan). I thought they'd be there forever. The last time I was at either place was before the "digital" age so all I can expect to find are a few 4x6 Kodak prints and maybe a scratchy VHS. Such a good reminder to try to capture/preserve locations before they're gone or no longer recognizable. Thanks for sharing your memories with us!
Adam, I think this is one of the best vlogs I have watched, very touching, and also brought tears to my eyes, it's crap we have to get older, we lose memories and loved ones, some memories we can get in touch with again. Thank You.
It's hard to explain quite why I like your blogs so much, there's just something warm and honest about them. Thanks for sharing these little slices of your life with us.
SO HAPPY you're back in Florida! Hoping you do a meet up soon...I'm heading to WDW this weekend...hint hint! As always you're in my prayers for safe travels! Welcome Home, Adam!
Every time I think you have posted my favorite vlog, another one comes along. What a great message in today's vlog. These mean so much to me because, as an American now living in Germany, I get to see familiar things, and things I have read about, or things I have never even thought about. I am confined to my apartment, I can no long get outside and explore like I once did. Now, you do it for me. Thank you, Adam. These vlogs truly touch my soul.
Great Video Adam, its amazing how we appreciated things like VHS. My first VHS movie was GodFather played over and over... And we sat there with amazement too bad kids now a days take those things for granted. It was a great little town you grow up in. I love your T-shirt
Mindblowing video. I also grew up in Nicveville back in the 80's too... So awesome you returned. As you can probably tell now Adam, Niceville has REALLY built up. The additions of Walmart, Public, the Cefco station and Ollies... It is really cool that you were here a few days. I thought about driving to Niceville yesterday to track you down and say hello.
Thank you for this vlog, my favorite thus far. Last year I had the pleasure of checking out my 80's childhood home that my dad built in Winter Springs, FL when it went up for sale. It was so surreal to walk around after 16 years and see how things have changed and yet how much is still the same. So many memories came flooding back and as I was leaving I got a little teary eyed. If I had the money I would have bought it, but I can't afford two mortgages! Hehe. The city has grown quite a bit since I have lived there. I can remember how things used to look like it was yesterday and where my brother and I built forts, played in the street, and played Nintendo with the neighborhood kids. You truly are a kind and intriguing person and I wish you a safe journey. I can't wait for you to arrive to the Orlando area to see what you find. Maybe I will see you around! Say hi to the Tim and Jenn Tracker! Gotta go play some Nintendo now!
"Let's Woo This!" Next T-shirt! Love the emotion and the descriptions of everything. On day 12 of my own journey inspired by yourself. Keep up the amazing work.
Nice to see where little Adam grew up and played and got his first kiss. Another great vlog Adam nice to see the other side of the USA watching this from UK. Comment over.
Thanks Adam for sharing your childhood home and memories. Visiting my home is always bitter sweet. My home is torn down and an apartment in its place and our sandlot is now paved over for a truck stop. Which leads me to the philosophical question 'Can a person ever really go back home?'
really like your story also that u have said don't forget where u come from. I myself grew up in church ever Sunday and I also try to keep the values I was brought up with. great channel Adam, keep it up, I watch u everyday
Thank you ADAM! Sharing your life helps us cope with ours, and reminds us that we are all the same.We all have a past, and a future, and how we live it, is all up to us! Looking for your reunion with your folks!!!
Really enjoying following you on your journey Adam. Thanks for sharing it. Always wanted to see all those small towns in America. Ireland has lots of cool town like that. Everywhere has a story. Stay safe buddy.
This was very awesome. I moved back to my home town, so I see it change, but I took my kids to see where my great-grandparents once lived, and that little town has changed so much! Thank you for sharing your memories with us.
Great video Adam! You were close to being my favorite RUclips channel before this video, now you are officially my favorite! Thanks for your honesty and insight, and thanks for all the hard work each you put in each video. It shows that you are passionate in what you do! Comment.....over.
Great Vlog! You're a little older than me but your memories and your rendition of madonna's "this used to me my playground" reminded me of my childhood town and memories! Awesome work!
Glad I found this video! I grew up in Niceville (1975-1997), was a senior the year the football team won state, sat in pretty much the same place you did, lol. I had my trip down memory lane (after a 20-year absence), a year ago. Thanks for sharing this, hope to make it back down there soon.
This seems like it was really fun to revisit your prior home town. One day I want to come back to my house and remember. Just like you did. Thanks Adam for the stories. Keep up the good work!!!
The 80's was such an Nostalgic Time, Great Movies, Great Music and a lot of drive-ins. The Memory of Mid Summer Drive in movie when the breeze blows through, eating Your own home made snacks and a cooler full of Dew and all friends having a blast, Oh the Innocence. Thanks Adam
Good morning Adam. .. I also have been doing a lot of thinking lately about the past and time.. Sometimes I think I should have never blinked.. anyhow thanks for letting us be a part of your life and for sharing that with us.. Safe travels and God bless you... :-)
Thanks for you sharing your memories. I really enjoyed your vlog! I remember oh so well going to a video store and rented videos. Friday evenings were when we usually visited the video store.
When you tell about your dad finding you hiding, I had to laugh. I did the same thing, but we had skipped school one morning and gone to play pin ball machines at the Bowling Alley. To my knowledge my dad NEVER EVER went in that Bowling alley, but right when I was smacking the ball, my friend says, "Hey is that your dad?" OMG it was him!! LOL I never knew HOW he found me ,but the remainder of that day was very bad, for me! :) (Greenwood Mississippi 1972)
Great video. Love your story and the trip. I lived in Santa Rosa county for about 3 years from 89 to 93 and now live in Oklahoma. It's really neat to see some of the areas I've lived in, or have visited in your vids.
I could just imagine what the fire hydrant bike wreck looked like. Good to know you graduated to riding down slides as you moved on in life to bigger and better bike wrecks! I also just caught your Dad's latest video. It was amazing to see some of your mannerisms in him. I often find myself doing something or standing a certain way the is a complete reflection of my father. Carry on Adam!
Yes it is strange how all kind of memories come flooding back when you revisit a place you used to live!!!! True time does fly by and waits for no one!! Great vlog Adam!!!!
Thought I'd visit the channel this morning. Love the retrospectives you do. I am about to do a trip to see my 1985 - 1990 stomping grounds. Kind scared to see things that changed. You always do well with that. I left one of my two jobs Friday. Time to make a go at being me.
Enjoyed this vlog immensely!! What you were saying at the end was something I really needed to hear . Thanks for sharing some of your best memories with us...ps..I was homeschooled from 5th grade to graduation ..Have a great day !!
I can be frustrating, memories. So beautiful and so painful at the same time. Thank you for giving us a glimpse into your past., Adam. It really is great.
Not to long ago I went back to my childhood stomping ground and the memories started flooding back(tears of joy!!) I can relate with you! Not trying to tell my age, but I remember when you could get a small fries, small burger and small drink at Mickie D's for less than a dollar, no BS! Thanks for sharing!! Have a nice day Woo-Man!
Adam the woo, I attended Niceville Christian Church Vacation Bible School in the early 1970s, and eventually, services and Sunday School. Pleasant memories of this Church and what they tried to teach us kids in a very rebellious time. I'll never forget Niceville Christian Church.
This episode was awesome!!! I love hearing about your childhood and teenage exploits. Been thinking about making a similar video myself (I'm currently back in my old home town too!!). Great hearing about your minister Dad too. I grew up in churches which is a little less common here in the UK but I'd assume we probably shared several similar experiences! :-) good times. Never stop vlogging mate!!
My wife used to live on that same street... at 203 Hudson circle. She didn’t move there with her family till 1989. That is so cool man. We still live in Niceville down range road in the Bluewater Bay Area.
My parents were born, raised and married in Crestview FL, so spent a lot of my childhood at Niceville as well. Thanks for taking me too down memory lane.
I grew up in Crestview and spent much of my time in Niceville. It's funny because my dad is a pastor too. It's really cool to see everything again through your vlog. Now I live near Marion, Indiana, which of course is not too far from where James Dean grew up. It's crazy that you travel to places that mean so much to me. Really appreciate all that you do on your channel.
Time waits for no one
Thats why I am going grey and wrinkly lol
and no one waits for time......
True. Also gravity is a mans friend and his worst enemy as years go by.
love this
And the older you get the faster the years seem to pass.
It reall adds to the "being there" aspect of it.
thanks so much for the comment . I try to edit as much as possible but yet still try to keep a raw element to it
YES! YES! YES! I love it too! I'm so glad u thought to mention that!
This is by far the best Vlog you've done Adam. Bravo!!

my first abandoned building adventure was my elementary school. Terribly decayed and seriously emotional. thanks for bringing us to Niceville.
