  • In this review, we are taking a look the Blackfire edition of the Klein Tools Duct knife. It is an almost identical design with a few additional features. Most Klein tools are manufactured here in the USA but I do believe these are manufactured in China (as some of their tools are). It is geared more toward the outdoorsman. #kleintools #blackfire #fixedbladeknife

I find their bits are brittle, I love Klein though. 6 in 1 saved my life possibly or a lot of pain from being electrocuted. Now it’s just a nut driver. Again Klein is awesome.

I haven’t done a whole lot out doors for a while that I needed a knife, but I do think this one could also be useful in some first responder roles. I carried everything from a Gerber MkII to a BMF to a K-Bar knockoff and all had their advantages and disadvantages. After the Gerber BMF, I determined that being sharp enough to accomplish a wide variety of field tasks was more important than chopping big logs or “c*mbat” qualities. Some of the “better” steels that are sharp out of the box and hold an edge but are difficult to resharpen aren’t much more useful than a cheaper or mid range that will resharpen with a Wheatstone or a diamond stick. So this knife, under $25 after taxes would probably work as well as any of them on the market. Anyway, another great video presentation.

Ductboard knives... funny to see someone do a video. I recognized these could be handy many years ago. I've still got an old one with a full tang, rolled, high carbon steel blade and a simple hickory slab handle. Back when I bought it, it might have cost $4 or $5. The one in this video is way fancy by comparison.

The Milwaukee one is alright i bent the tip after a week, but for the job its meant for it does ok, honestly cutting duct work as the knife is intended for you plung the blade around the duct to allow easier work for your tin snips and its an amazing pipe insulation cutting tool but do not EDC these things your gonna get hurt, the serations dont do much and they are hard to sharpen

Interesting knife... I have several Klein Tools meters, outlet testers, and hand tools and am pretty happy with them. The knife is interesting and has some intriguing quirks. The length of unsharpened tang between edge and handle seems a bit odd, but I'm guessing this is sort of a sharpened pry bar, saw and field knife combo tool. Blade geometry looks a bit thick but it's probably not meant to be 'slicy'. The quality of the heat treating is probably more important than the blade steel. Guessing it's 420 stainless. Cool general-purpose knife. Knife is shown on Amazon but it says currently unavailable - no pricing yet.

Yes, it's work to ignore them, become invisible to them, but usually worth it.
Lean to slip / slide away from their scrutiny.
      Become the grey man .
Obey the law, when they are watching you. The rest of the time . . .

Good review there of a new blade , looks good and also the shape of the blade is also super cool . Your intro should have been ' Am excited to threaten my neighbour with this new Knife and use it against them😂😂' .

The urge to have a Kydex sheath made for this knife is undeniable.
