  • The build is almost complete! Today is a huge day we will be starting the WRX EJ205 2.1L stroker up for the first time. Keep in mind that most of the smoke is a mixture of the old gas and all the oils from my hands as well as the assembly lube. Please SMASH that like button and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE to stay up to date on future content. I will be doing a build break down as well as a price breakdown for anyone that might be interested in doing a stroker build.

      That's awesome. Everyones takes the hybrid route, but not too many go the stroker route.

      @@justastreetcar4273 iv build 3 ejs 2 just stock crank and forged pistons and rods at original spec but you utilise a lot of advantages of durability on the strokers the 79mm crank and rod length dictates piston speed in a positive way over stock . 🤟

    Damn that sounds good. Was it scary starting it up the first time?

    • @justastreetcar4273
      @justastreetcar4273  5 лет назад

      Yeah, it was pretty nerve racking starting it for the first time. I double checked everything at least 3 times before starting, such as oil pressure and priming the fuel

      @@justastreetcar4273 Haha yeah I definitely don't blame you. I'm new to the car scene, and I got my first car, a 2008 WRX, not even a year ago. First time I changed my oil I was terrified to start it up lmao. I can't even imagine installing a stroker kit.

      @@SuitOne The stroker is a very underrated, most just do a hybrid build or hybrid swap, but not a fan of hybrid build due to the ej205 and ej207 heads being really bad at getting cracks around the valves and spark plug hole.

      @@justastreetcar4273 I honestly don't know too much about modifying the internals. I'm mostly focused on bolt-ons at the moment due to knowledge and monetary restrictions.

      @@SuitOne I gotcha the ej platform can be a tough one to learn on, but just take it slow and learn as you go and don't get in over your head.

    Please tell me how these "tunes" work?how can a car be mapped over the phone 😭 this sounds crazy,how can anyone check eg/fuel-air ratio/knock ect ect?..these generic map's are so stupid..

      It’s called E tuning. You data log through your Cobb accessport and send your files back and fourth with your tuner so they can make corrections etc on the tune. Educate yourself before you spread hate👎🏾
