      The missed fourth down spot that let the Packers have that final touchdown drive was utter nonsense too. Couldn't challenge it though because even though we'd won all three challenges before then, going 3-0 doesn't allow you another challenge. We'd have won the fourth challenge if we'd had it.

    How can anyone be upset with this team?? We just beat 3 “Super Bowl favorites” back-to-back-to-back. Who cares if it got ugly?? The packers are a great team and this miscues and leaky defense is nothing we can’t clean up for next week

  • @bikerbud3903

    3 bad coaching decisions let packers back in the game. ! special teams coach should have told Nailor to let the punt go if catch is difficult. 2. Prevent Defense entire 2nd have let Love get his timing and confidence going. 3. Not taking field goal at end instead going for it on 4th down. GB interception was obviously Out of bounds at goal line.

  • @qatar824
    @qatar824 13 часов назад +7

    Tense, but I'm less worried than many others. Two of the Packers' TD drives were a combined 23 yards, and the last one was against a tired defense playing prevent. The Packers got some breaks that made it closer than it should have been.
    Now the Vikings will either be two games up on the entire division, or the lone NFC unbeaten, depending on the outcome of Lions-Seahawks.

    • @danaglabeman6919
      @danaglabeman6919 13 часов назад +2

      While normally it's super fun to be the only unbeaten, with how the Lions came alive last year and are now playing with the chip on their shoulder, I think a Lions loss is much more valuble for us than the meaningless token of last nfc team standing. Last time we were the last unbeaten team, it ended ugly.

      It's an attempt to minimize risk and prevent chunk plays in hopes the opposing team will run out of time. Running the ball (went on offense) is less likely to result in a turnover and playing a prevent defense will mitigate large yardage plays.

    For all the "Should have kicked the FG at 4th and 1" criticism, 3 more points puts the win by 5, which is still less than 1 score. A first down likely leads to an AJ TD and we win by 8 before adding the try. This means we win by 9 or 10 most likely and that's more than 1 score.

    This is a great Vikings team but we should not make any mistake about what we just also saw. One bounce At the end and a field goal And we would have called this an absolutely epic collapse. We nearly gave up a 28 point lead and we were lucky we got out of there. I think the team learned a lot but some of the play calling especially in the second half was terrible.

    This was great for resilience & will help a lot later in the year. Also, wait until McCarthy is under center. McCarthy not only shines brightest under pressure, he's elite throwing over the middle of the field. KOC loves to throw late to close out games. It's like JJ was built in a lab to fit all of KOCs play style characteristics.

    Weak spots revealed themselves on both sides of the ball: On defense, a solid O Line and an up-tempo offense with quick routes and accurate passing can deny B-Flo's stunting D time to get to disrupt plays. Same with up-tempo tough running. On Offense, looks like pressure does affect Sam Darnold, if you can get him to feel it. Vikings should go up-tempo themselves to counter opponents doing it.

    Simple second half game plan defense clearly focused on not giving up big plays and pretty much gassed after the offense disappears starting in the 2nd qtr but the offense isn’t playing complimentary football RUN THE BALL!!! Kill the clock Punt in needed and keep the field long for the Packers and the goal line play calls were atrocious

    A win is a win, yes it ended up being a pretty ugly finish but even the most dominant teams have close games and lose games.. my confidence in this team wasn’t wavered at all after this win. SKOL

    Yeah him going down actually saving that game cuz if he turned it over or he fumbled it then Green Bay would have probably won by two or three whatever

    I agree with the point that the Vikings should have ran way more in the second half. Passing with a lead like that is how the Falcons lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl. There’s a balance to be struck between staying aggressive and dialing it back when you’re up multiple scores.

    It’s not about scoring 50 points Mackey you need to be able to run the ball use clock show that you can dictate the game flow just hard nosed football the Vikings didn’t show they can do that

    When you are up 2 scores or more you have to keep your foot on the pedal and score points in all 4 qtrs. Even if they are just field goals score points at every opportunity. No more Greedy Kirk 3rd quarter nappy time.

    Flores' defensive strategy relies to some extent on the D-line selling their disguises. He has a unique ability to teach these guys how to play multiple positions and then trusts them to make on field decisions about how and when to switch gears. Look at the footage at how many time a defender crossed the whole damn field to make a play outside of his position. I think there were two big defensive problems in that 2nd half. One, we we 3&outing a lot, which put undue physical pressure on the D to perform without much of a rest inbetween. But mainly, the Pack offense figured out how to prevent/ read the defense disguises, which is gonna hamper Flores' style of play-calling. Whether it was getting to the line asap or something else we haven't seen yet, other teams are gonna want to study exactly how the Pack managed to uncover our D.

    I feel like Mackey doesn’t really know ball. Kevin o Connel consistently calls conservative plays when we have big lead he always lets his foot off the gas then he calls his risky plays when the game is in reach makes no sense

    You can do both Mackey you can put the pedal down and go all gas but a 4 score lead you change your focus and slow that game down
