@@IndRepair Years ago I found a complete Dash with dual sticks and the hydro valve for 100 bucks! Can't find deals like that anymore! Need a ported pump though to finish it
That is for sure! I always like to make it look nice for a paying customer but for our stuff no need for the lipstick. Merry Christmas to you and yours also!
Some times you have to do whatever it takes to make it. Pluse its yours and for a puller it doesn't have to be fancy unless it bug's you. Thats an old cub it will last another 20 year's.
Glamour less important than function. For example, if Santa’s sleigh broke down tonight, are we concerned with how it looks, or that it gets repaired so the big guy can deliver all those toys? Hope the best of the best for you and your family this coming year….and Merry Christmas!
I think that round spacer actually got thrown in the parts drawer by accident. It belongs over by the shop press for pressing things. 😉 I probably would have used a section of square tubing. I have a box of all the round things I scrounge from here and there for driving in bearings, etc, and that round piece would definitely have ended up in my box. 😉🔧👍
@@IndRepair I feel your pain, Martin! I’m so glad I finally got around to cleaning up and setting up my bench mounted drill press. I don’t use it very often and it does have limitations, but it is extremely useful at times. 🔧👍 I WISH I had a shop press!
Xtreme motorworks sells solid mounts for the engine cradle. Also, Google quietline motor rail modification. That mod should be done with the solid mounts.
Creative repairs are more self satisfying than new parts anyday. It puts a smile on a guys face! Merry Christmas young man!!!

Looked to me like the engine mounting bolts were loose. When you fired it up after the repair the engine jumped upwards quite a bit.
They always jump a bunch they are mounted on rubber engine mounts they get worn out and nothing left to support them

Oh! That makes sense! 👍

Cast is not a material, but rather a process.
For sure. Meant cast iron. Instead ended up being cast aluminum
Look like engine mount is loose
For sure the mounts are rubber they don't hold up after this many years and tend to jump around

Need to address this or it will cause a lot of wear in all of the driveline components. Gets expensive.
