The old ones are the 👌 best, thanks mate bringing my memory back. You see, I got lost through depression, and these clips are helping me to remember thanks mate!
I played many a matches with my bro on that air hockey, always enjoyed bag of chips after. Proper chips. In newspaper covered in salt & vinegar. Great memories as a youngster!
Notice how unlike the current trend of dark/dank/neon arcades that have started opening up in places like Edinburgh--I say that just because it's where I live--this actually looks quite bright and family-friendly and fun. It's and nice room with pool tables and bunch of cool arcade games too. I want arcades like that to come back again, not glorified nightclub dives that are really dark and have loud music playing and all the cabinets are sticky with beer and the walls are all black with horrible/garish neon art painted all over them. That's more like something out of a sh*t '90s movie like Hackers than what arcades were actually like, at least the ones that were in Edinburgh at the time, and indeed as we see in the footage above too.
I'm surprised by how few videos like this have been digitized. Thanks for this!

I can hear Mr Do lol.
Love the old arcade sounds.
Certainly the best days back then
Thanks for posting this, so good to see British arcade videos as well as other countries. Shame modern arcades are now basically budget Casinos.
Thanks, loving memories
2:14 Dad is crap at Defender and looks around to see if anyone noticed, lol
Brilliant video. Thanks for uploading 😊😉
Everything about this is pure joy!
(except all that gaming space that's taken up by pool tables! ;-p haha)
Thanks for posting this
The sounds of the arcade, nothing like it
The games were so new and vibrant!
This is amazing! Do you mind if I use it in a music video for a North Shields band?
