Awwww thank you for coming back and letting me know that it worked for you. I've just finished doing a 6 X 6 one....with masterboard signatures...video coming soon. Happy creating. K
Glad it was helpful! I will be making another cover to fit the 6 X 6 signatures. I did buy some thicker elastic though and will be stringing it through a little tighter to make things more snug.
This is my favourite type of 'flow' journal with either different types of media paper or scrapbooking paper. Easily to remove and work on/ with. You can always create a more permanent journal for finished art if desired.
Love this idea💡 and I have so many napkins also. Also the different size and quality papers is a great idea. Definitely gonna make this. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing. I just did a much smaller cover and used fabric but I love the idea of the copy paper and napkin. I'll do that next . Have a super fantastic day. Sending love and big hugs Sherry ❤
Love the way you weave the elastic. Just what I was looking for instead of long on the outside like I’ve seen. I plant to add a 4th signature to use all 4 available bands. Your closure idea is perfect. I’m making a mixed media journal fabric covered.
Karen I love this idea but couldn’t quite follow how you threaded the elastic binding. So if you do another one for the 6x6 could you do it as a video and show us the binding again please? Great idea as always!
12:40 with those punched holes in the spine, could you use those hole protector thingies? (don't know the right name, but I've seen them in office supply stores); Or even another small round piece of card/heavier paper punched out, a hole in the centre of that, and glue those over each punched hole to protect the edges? (reinforcers?)
Give it a try. They would reinforce. I have never made this before and once I start to use it I will find out if reinforcement is necessary. If you think it needs it nothing will be effected if you do.
This was explained perfectly. I will try this. Thanks for sharing. Glad I found your channel.
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm glad you found me too. K
Loved the idea. I'll give it a try soon. I've got all the material. Thanks for share this video 😁🙏
Glad you will give it a try....definitely up the thickness of the elastic cord. K
Thanks for showing this in such detail. It does sound like exactly what I want.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Karen, I tried this and you were so right….super easy! Thanks for sharing. I’ll be using this method a lot!

Exactly what I was thinking.....different journals for different purposes.
Thanks so much for your easy tutorial. That’s my next journal.
Homemade journals are extra special in some way. K

Love that journal cover. Thanks for sharing this technique. You make it look doable!
Thanks so much! It is doable....I've gotten thicker elastic and pulled it slightly tighter to get it to work better.....K
Great ideal
It really is! Hope you give it a try.k
Thank you for sharing
My pleasure
I love it. I use the elastic binding often, but I have never made the three holes style, I will have to try it..
I’ve seen other ways but when I saw this I thought. Hmmm doable and rasy
Super!
Thank you very much!
I could see some accenting using the TCW Foils in gold on those leaves!
