Nice videos Maine you made RUclips way more interesting aside from watching phone unboxings and reviews, Best channel on RUclips keep them videos coming Richard
Useful. I found a need/problem in my area and decided to try and be the solution. Do you know where I can get a heat pad to make screens easier to take off?
It's easy, but it's hard finding a supplier that doesn't RIP you off on the OLED. Can't you just use the freeze method and buy just the glass and glue? Can't you use the freeze method to seperate any screen?
You can refurbish them yourself but I choose not to with iPhones. Mostly to save time. I outsource the refurbishing. Also with the newer models (iX and newer) the buy back prices are high, so I'd rather just sell them off then to have them refurbished.
@@RichardMeza fully understand. I do pc repair right now along with some phone repair. So I dont mind doing the refurbishing myself until i start to grow. Thanks for the videos. You truly are successful and living the American dream ;-)
@@RichardMeza i know. I’m looking for ideas. Thanks for making this video btw. It’s hard to watch some others sometimes since the video quality is low, or i can’t understand their words

Hey Richard when you first started how was your inventory like when you started for example customer came in with a broken screen what did you tell them it will take days for part to arrive or you had screens that you bought ready to put in a phone cause I dont think customer will want to wait days right?
Nice stuff, the first part of your vid was actually good quality, I learned something. Question though, you speak about refurbishing risk, however as with the samsung S series glass only repair, would it not be worth it to also do this with the Iphones? Is it too time consuming or hard? Thanks, keep the vids coming !
I refurbish Samsung screens myself. All iPhone screens I outsource the refurbishing or I sell them off. For me it too time consuming to refurbish and also it's done at a low cost when I outsource it. Samsung screens I refurbish myself.
You can put some if you want, it doesnt require it though. That tape you are inquiring about is supposed to be for water resistance. Some people put it but in reality it doesnt do anything. Doesnt make your iPhone back to being water resistant. The original water proofing adhesive that is used isnt even tape. It's a gooey foamy type adhesive that you cant even buy for these phones. But they have these aftermarket pieces of black tape that people buy that's sold all over Ebay and Amazon that doesnt really do anything. It may help with someone that works in construction like helps prevent dirt from getting inside your phone but that's not what people are buying it for. People think it makes their phone water resistant again which it absolutely does not. Your not buying the same original adhesive.
@@RichardMeza Got it so basically after you repair it once, the iPhone isn't water resistant anymore. When you do the repair at the store, do they use this foam to make your phone water resistant?
@@derekchen6430 At my store? No you cant buy this original foam type adhesive for these phones. For a customer they have to make a choice. What's more important your phone being water resistant or having a shattered screen for the next year?
@@derekchen6430 I dont know for sure. They could but I dont know since I dont work there. At the Apple store, someone takes your phone in the backroom and they fix it there. They are way more expensive though. Its $279 + tax to get your iPhone X screen repaired at the Apple store. I currently charge $150 with tax already included here. You can ask them if they waterproof the phone back up to original by calling them or walking into an Apple store.
But usually in my country they never changed the cracked screen, only when the screen give up and totally died, they started to bring it to repair shop snd change with totally brand new screen assembled, so you just get the money from the change screen, and also in my country there are many repair shop who can refurbish the screen by themself, so customer just need to send the phone with the cracked glass, then they will receive their phone back with changed brand new glass
Hey I have been watching your channel for a while. I was motivated to start my own business in my area. I have repaired a a lot of screens. However I don’t know of a refurbishing company to send my screens off to. To receive a profit. Do you have any suggestions. On company’s I can send them to?
The X, XS, and XS Max are basically all the same. The XR is different. It's more like the iPhone 7 except with more shields and more screws surrounding the screen. The XR has a metal backplate.
Yeah but if your customers were watching this now they know they can make money from the old screen. Aren’t you worried that the word will spread and customers will start to ask for their old screens back.
Skip to the 20:07 mark and it makes sense from that point on. That's from the business side of things. It makes perfect sense after you watch it from that point all the way to the end of the video. This phone has 2 different profits when replacing the screen.
19:41 mark is where the money part starts. Nobody is charging $200 in labor. When this video was filmed, the old cracked iPhone X screen the customer doesnt want that gets left behind was worth $110 to me. Refurbishing screen businesses will buy those parts that are left behind. I collect them, and sell them off.

what people mess up especially on iphones they mix up screws and end up with the phone bootloping with blue screen due to "long screw damage"
