  • The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK. Some Traditions Don't Need To Be Changed!
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK is a classic representation of all that is Jeep. Offroad capability, with just the right amount of creature comforts to make every ride enjoyable.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK is a subtle refresh of the fourth-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee boasting similar exterior styling to the 2021 model. Like the 2021 model, the Jeep Grand Cherokee WK comes equipped with a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine which is made to an 8-speed automatic transmission while outputting 295 horsepower and 260 lb./ft of torque.
Standard features on all trim levels of the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK include Heated seats, a power liftgate, rear cross alert system, backup camera, rear parking assist, blind-spot detection, auto-dimming rearview mirror, driver-adjustable seats, heated steering wheel, 7-inch digital gauge cluster, rear-seat ventilation, and an 8-inch infotainment system with built-in navigation and access to Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Like any Jeep, the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK is a smooth ride both on and off-road with the interior creature comforts to match. There's a reason why this is the most awarded SUV in its class and it's pretty easy to see with these premium features offered as standard across all trim levels.

I bought a new 2021 80th Anniversary Edition Grand Cherokee in January of 2022 (was still in transport at the time I placed a down payment). I felt a little torn about it, because frankly, I do like having the pretty, shiny newest things (therefore, was intrigued by the 2022 WL model), but also want to be practical and not unnecessarily spend extra money without any obvious advantage.
Several months later, and I’m so happy I went with the 80th Anniversary WK. First of all, I saved about $3,600 off MSRP. But beyond that, I honestly like that body style better than the WL. Every time Iook at my vehicle, I’m enamored by how gorgeous it is (the Slate Blue color, which isn’t available with the WL, with the Granite Crystal accents is just stunning). And while there are a couple of things I think I prefer in the WL interior, I think I prefer the WK’s interior overall. It’s very nice with every modern option I need/want, but not over-the-top luxurious…so you still get that utilitarian feel. I know the trend is moving toward the turn-knob gear shifter, but to me, you gotta have a traditional gear shifter to feel like an SUV. Plus, the gigantic mass of piano gloss black material in the WL is something that my OCD personality could not handle 😮 - too many fingerprints, too easy to scratch. Plus, the first year or two of any new generation model of any brand is bound to have issues/kinks that later get worked out. IMO, rolling the dice on that just isn’t worth the hassle of potentially having to deal with so many issues/recalls.
Plus, we had an impressive winter storm in my area about a week after I brought my WK home, and thanks to a COVID peak, there were basically no DOT workers available to treat/clear roads. I had to drive across 15 miles of mountainous tundra to get to work (12”-16” of an ice/snow mix), and my Jeep handled it like a champ!

I have had a 2022 WK Limited 4x4 for 3 months now and I LOVE EVERY THING ABOUT HER. Yes, her name is Black Pearl and she is cute, sassy, and tough. I get excited every time I wake her up and we take off on our adventures. JEEP IS PURE AMERICAN TO ME!

Monocoque Body with Built-in Ladder Frame
They say that superior off-road handling capability could only come at the expense of on-road smoothness. They have obviously never driven Grand Cherokee . By incorporating a lightweight and highly rigid monocoque body with a built-in ladder frame that provides added resistance to torsion and flexing and fixing them atop a dynamic independent suspension, Grand Cherokee achieves an unprecedented combination of all-terrain control and luxury-sedan comfort. For added durability, grand cherokee now makes more extensive use of galvanized steel body panels, while the new aluminum hood panel reduces weight for better handling.
its very very durable strong suv!!

Jeep didn't tell anyone that they removed the the Quadra-trac 2 from the 2023 grand Cherokee limited. You have to move up to the Overland to get the Quadra trac 2 in the new model. The msrp starts at 61k.

I love my 2022 Laredo X Altitude WK Grand Cherokee. I traded in a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. For on the road driving, there is no comparison. With the V6 engine, it is fast, quiet, smooth, comfortable, and has great handling. Excellent fuel economy compared to the Wrangler. I am sure the Wrangler will hold its value better over time, but there are lots of compromises in driving one when you become an old timer like me. Glad I made the change. The Grand Cherokee WK2 has ended production - but so many were built - there will be parts for a long time.

Which trim level is this? I searched the jeep website and did not see any with dual exhaust in 2022WK models.

Summit, but it hasn’t been available to be ordered for months. Only the Laredo and Limited could still be recently had, but now all WK production is finished.
