  • Jonas Vingegaard second edition. The 2023 Grand Boucle was the 110th edition of the Grand Boucle. It started in Bilbao, Spain, on 1 July and ended with the final stage at Champs-Élysées, Paris, on 23 July. Defending champion Jonas Vingegaard (Team Jumbo-Visma) won the general classification for the second year in a row. Two-time champion Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates) finished in second place, with Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates) finishing third. The race began in Bilbao in the Basque Country before returning to the Eiffel's Tower country. The first two weeks of the race was closely fought between Vingegaard and Pogačar, with just 10 seconds between the riders by the end of the second week. The decisive stages were the individual time trial on stage 16 where Vingegaard won by 1 minute 38 seconds ahead of Pogačar, and the subsequent stage in the Alps where Vingegaard extended his lead to over seven minutes. Vingegaard won the race for the second year running, putting him equal on race wins with his rival Pogačar. His winning margin of 7 minutes 29 seconds was the largest since 2014. The points classification was won by Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck) for the first time. The mountains classification was won by Giulio Ciccone (Trek-Segafredo), the first Italian to achieve this feat since 1992. The young rider classification was won by Pogačar for the fourth year in a row, and the team of Team Jumbo-Visma won the team classification. Victor Campenaerts (Lotto-Dstny) was chosen as the most combative rider.

      The UFC catches them fairly often. They just give them a slap on the wrist through a canceled fight. The UCI definitely tests riders, as does WADA who has no interest in UCI financial success. The issue is that it's easier to break rules than to catch people breaking them.

    • @veganpotterthevegan
      @veganpotterthevegan 10 месяцев назад

      @englishorchard-haze4708 heading that way? They've always been soft on doping. As for crossfit, they barely do any out of competition testing. They use WADA's same banned drug list but don't allow WADA drug testers access to their athletes. At least some boxing commissions are under WADA and they're tested more than Crossfit folks. But it's not like testing has ever stopped doping. Grand tour riders are tested often and nearly always pass their tests despite doping

    The most critical piece of information in this video at the 18:25 mark. There is no way a record like that falls if you are clean. The climbing times of the mountains are always the best indicator of how dirty a Tour de France is. The FDJ team doctor's words 28:13 were the most honest words of this video. When you said: "Friends this happens because of the equipment materials, lighter bikes, more breathable jerseys, longer socks, aerodynamic materials and the faboulose nutrition plan of today. Oat meals and greasy spanish sausages. It was different in the 90s. They didn't know how to prepare!" Ahahah i couldn't stop laughing 😂😂😂😂 should be translated to italian channel..we will love this video😂😂😂

    The teams are sure good at blood doping antidetection methods. And Greg Lemond does note mechanical doping has been an issue up til recently, with certain white Kenyan past tour winners named.

    Thank you for creating such a well researched investigation. It is great to see so many clean athletes highlighted that did not use motors to break performance limits in pro-cycling. All from getting the basics just right! In this tour it seemed as there was zero evidence of any rule breaking. Unfortunately, the 90's TDF game of spot the cheat is dead! No longer are we treated to the luxury of multiple bike changes that allow riders to go uphill faster! Long live the clean tour heros! 🙂 So nice to see such a clean & dominant performance in La Veulta as well. Made me laugh - thanks!

    What most people do NOT understand it’s that Rabobank and jumbo are not the same team, not the same organization and none of the Rabobank directors or coaches it’s envolved anymore, it’s a new organization that just so happened that bought the Rabobank license after it collapsed, they could have literally bought any other license but the Rabobank one it’s the one that was up for grabs

      I am not surprised. Whatever it takes him to ride as fast as a track sprinter, it works for UCI and TdF. They need to create a villain but not sure JV plays the best role for it like LA once did. Remember, it is all a show, entertainment, showbusiness, it's a sports event, like football, basketball, everything goes

    It's a weird feeling TBH. When they put in monster efforts like V's time trial, as an athlete and a lover of the tour, u know they are doped as fuck, but what's weird is that when u watch TDF these days, you expect that later, most of them, will be discovered and it has become part of the show... poor cycling...

    Cycling is the best and the most complex sport. F1 is competition among drivers and technological firms. But cycling is far more complex- there is competition in many more fields: best cyclist, best tech doping, best bio doping etc.

    Unless you think there are 2 stars and everyone else happens to be moocher, you should be able to use statistics to identify dopers. Assuming everyone has access to the same improvements the difference of the 2 and the average of the next 10 or 20 riders should be statistically similar.
