Not when it comes to heavy green, unfortunately. The color in which pieces are readily available is the color most inappropriate for its originally intended use in all of Lego. I despise Lego "regular" green. Light green doesn't improve on things, and I'd love an additional more natural color between olive and dark grean.
You should do one on parks. Parks need to combine the organic look of forrests & jungles with the organized / structure look of a city & human construction in general. And I as many people seem to be building cities, you might be able to help a lot of your fans out there by giving them some tips on how to liven up their cities with a park that is beautiful and vivid as well as realistic.
I used to say the same, have started doing mini MOC scenes, .. but did spend a lot of time on bricklink this year, basically scouring entire stores for cheapest parts i could use (e.g. sometimes less popular colours are 1 or 2 cents each, so you can get 50-100 of them for a buck).
Great tips which another one is prioritize your effects... Like in my wading ashore MOC I did not really have room for the dark tan transition between waves and the beach... So I did not worry about that and instead made the waves colors and the sand shelf make sense on the 16x16 stud baseplate I built off of. Also made it look really interesting from the side... Although I could add more dimensions to the top of the water instead of just tiles... Although it does still look good regardless.
in a man dug out mountain this is probably the first step after the ground. 6:30 1st: Ground and base 2nd: Building 3rd: Rocks or plants climbing the house 4th: details for the house itself on the exterior or tracks by a car, person or just anything in between that 5th: look if it looks good or if there is place for some more detailing
bricklink will give you just the parts you need, just search it up on there, pick the part, pick the color, and then find a seller that is hopefully near you so shipping will not be so bad 😊
Duncan Kruger brickliiiiiiink. Shop around, find a piece you want, find a store which has a bunch and cheap. Bulk buying keeps postage costs down per piece. So buy a few hundred elements from a shop at a time. Hope that helps : j
Where do you get all your parts? I recently moved and had to give away a lot of my LEGO because of it, and I would like to work on some dioramas. Is there a website where I could by specific LEGO parts in specific colors?
When building these big landscapes, what kind of foundation do you use? Is it just baseplates or do you use something like MILS modules which come appart easily?
At this point it's about 95% done. I just need to Bricklink a few parts to add the finishing touches. Then there's the challenge of photographing it :P
One needs a Bo-Katan figure that I'm waiting to arrive, but it's ready to post One is ready to post, but I might be posting some other stuff first One I'm currently still building and the others are just ideas I'm yet to start :) I also have some Rebels and Rogue One stuff on the way too

9:09 Not to rain on anyone's parade, but Daredevil DOES get lost here. But I think that's only due to the background. Either he should be in the two-dimensional confines of the build against a darker build behind him or at the very least the photo background should be dark. I have to say this MOC, as great as it is, doesn't sell the dark atmosphere you were going for. It doesn't speak night to me, which it should. This does sound way too negative though. It IS a great looking build with very nice composition, piece use, texture, and techniques.
This video talks about rock work, I think it'll help you here a lot: ruclips.net/video/lVz0hHtKvY0/видео.html Otherwise, I would recommend using a lot of the 1x2x3 and 2x2x3 slope bricks, they are much larger and can help you to get a lot of height in a mountain. What sort of goals are you aiming for in this mountain? Where do you need help?
Lego really shines when its used in Nature Builds!
Yes especially with plants in my opinion

Ben Cossy: “Or hey, maybe you even want some larger elements.”

“Okay, then.”

Thanks for the tips I will definitely use them! 👍

Thank you, this will help me a lot when doing Lego landscaping
I don’t have enough pieces to make things like this
Great tutorial though
Same here. I'm a builder on a budget
Same.
@Arthur Ying Gaudefroy yeah... but shipping is so darn expensive lol

This is the best vid I've watched, and I have watched a lot.
Whoa, I need to get some dark tan pieces now, they didn’t make that back in my day sonny
Thanks for tips!
Great video thanks
Probably a dumb question but how do you get bricks that are all the same colours that you will need all I see is random sets?
bricklink
Most of my pieces come from old sets that I've taken apart, but if you need a lot of a specific piece try the pab wall or bricklink
bricklink will give you just the parts you need, just search it up on there, pick the part, pick the color, and then find a seller that is hopefully near you so shipping will not be so bad 😊
@@litbrickpics Thanks for the response!

SlickStitch bricklink. Bricklink. Brickliiiink. It takes time and money 💴

It varies depending on the demands of the build, but a MILS like system is more or less what I typically use
are the mocs all yours
When are we gonna see a full view of that Outto Pultoria moc?

The Lego movie did the best job at making water.
Its animated.
I know but you can take screenshots and replicate it.
No. They digitally animated it. All of it. Yes it looked like bricks but that was the intent
Yeah but they made it so it looked like it could be made out of Lego
I know is computer animation but man with the good amount of blue LEGO plates and brick of different shades you can do a similar one
Lol and I’m building D-Day
