    Great tips coconut! The fifth one really hit hard, I’ve been having this problem with myself for a while. I think one of the main problems with mocs nowadays is that people pile way too many minifigs onto them which just makes the build look really messy.

    tip 5 is a huge one for me, something i personally struggle with sometimes but you just have to keep in mind that yes, someone’s moc might be better than yours but you should always be proud of what you’ve made and appreciate your own builds for what they are

    Great tips Coconut! Love the video mate and as always well delivered. I think the last tip has been most helpful to me. It's hard sometimes wanting to do as well as others but not having the skills or pieces to get there yet and it's important to just appreciate others work and then try to apply some of what they are doing to your own ideas. Comparing to YOUR previous moc is a great strategy.

      Thanks, this was a hard lesson to learn especially since I take moc building so seriously as I want to do this full time at some point. I felt like if mine were so far behind others moc I would never be able to make the channel into something but as I focuses more just improvement a lot of that frustration went away.

    Hey, I have just come across your videos, watched 3 in a row and subbed lol after starting my AFOL journey in January 2023 I recently grabbed a base plate and PAB wall parts from Lego store and parted out a load of small sets I started my journey with. Feeling inspired to learn about moc building before engaging in battle lol I come across your channel and it has so far been so extremely helpful. Great content and I cant wait to watch more. I wish you all the Best Buddy! Thankyou for the Videos you make!

    I’ve been dealing with some health issues as of late, and building/customizing has really been a good thing for me, when I can do it, but I’ve been “stuck” since I accidentally dropped and destroyed most of what I built (a Tatooine moc)
    But anyway, this video really gave me some great ideas! I think I’ll approach the issues I ran into last time in a better way now that i can see where to improve

  • @AlexMonas
    @AlexMonas Год назад +1

    I like these videos of yours. They are helpful. Maybe you can consider making a "MOC for starters"- Flowchart, of what to do in what sequence to guarantee you finish something, if you havent yet. I know many people built like 20 LEGO sets, that are increasingly getting technical and polished, with higly specialized pieces, but onle 1-4 of these pieces each, so they feel intimideted to build something on their own because 1. it will suck, compared to the A-Model so they might not even want to break it apart, and 2. even if they spent like 500€ on LEGO, they still seem to be very limited in what they can "freely" build.

      I am always open to suggestions.

    • @commanderappo1969
      @commanderappo1969 2 года назад +3

      Well, imo your biggest mistake is that you put plates (mostly 4X4 plates) in a line so the terrain looks not do natural. I recomend putting more 1X1 & 1X2 plates in combination with 2X2, 1X2 and 1x1 plates so that the plates looks more like a little hill our something like that. Hope i could help you. :)

    • @coconutbricksstudios
