Thanks Dave. I'm currently building a McLaren F1 GTR Longtail and going the the ball ache decalling of the carbon fiber tub, extinguisher, and all the carbon body and engine parts. Holy smokes isn't it time consuming! Keep it up, come on the clear coat 👍😄

Did you put any clear coat on before applying decals here?

Hi David. Superb job on the Mclaren. one question: Normaly I do a clear before applying decals, I see you didnt do it. Even applying on the matt surface of the graphite, still you didnt get any silvering. Can we apply decals directly on the matt paint without the risk of this problem? just bought the Camel Yellow for the Lotus 99t from Gravity colors and I was wondering about this. thanks and continue the excelent work

If you use decal softener you won't have any silvering problem. A high quality cf decal will stick well even if the finish is not super glossy.

Hello Rodrigo! Yes you can apply decals directly on matte or semi gloss surface and get away without silvering.
It also depends on the quality of the decals too. But if you want to be 100% sure then you can still do a clear coat layer before you apply your decals.
