Synopsis:
Very few cars on the market today can inspire like a BMW M car. As a way of showing our appreciation, we created this film. A send off of sorts to the legendary E60 M5, showcasing exactly why the E60 was a template for imitators to follow and a benchmark against which they were judged.

Know the feeling dude I sold my 2010 M5 for a new 2015 M5 both really great cars but not the same the scream of the V10 was amazing
I own one of these it’s been nearly three years now ( late 07 LCI car ) it’s been very reliable and not disappointing... what a car absolutely addictive... remember warm the car gently below 3k revs to temperature this also allows the gearbox to warm up as well which is a must.. this is a tight tolerance engine that needs treating nicely before thrashing remember that plus service regularly and it will reward you 😎👍🇬🇧

I loved this car growing up, ended up getting a M6 e63 with the same awesome engine! The M5 e60 will always be one of the greatest in my opinion!
If you actually reading this comment, so many emotions running through your blood streams just by knowing what you own...a true super car and it's performance that we could actually might never see this kind out dream that a human being made it to reality ever again! The M/// is a dream many worked on and the M5 e60 is a true beauty! and you did an amazing job! Thank you for this! but I must say, manual gear box is where you actually could feel gear by gear the passion this monster posses! Than again it's the perfect car for every driver! just like a suite!

8 kilos under yep I have one too. It's all about how u drive and taking care of her. This car burns a lot of oil so make sure u have enough oil in the engine

I've owned one for 2 years. I'm down 35k in maintenance and guess what...I still fucking love it. Theres nothing that feels better than chasing 8425rpm every single time. Theres nothing like winning every race from behind. Lastly, theres nothing like tunnel runs in an f1 inspired v10...besides maybe a v12 :)

Cinematography is sublime. Review is... OK. as a target for a "hollywood style car review", perfect balance of theater, visual styling and just the right level of information abstraction. Hollywood movies are never the most informative.

KEVIN MANSFIELD do you have M5? I was not aware about M thing. In the condition of India I drive you cannot dare to sit at the driver’s seat.
A M5 needs highways to drive at full speed not in city roads. I had Better car thanM5, Porsche Panmera and hardly was able to drive in city.

Been looking for this video for a few years now, bought a 2006 M5 smg a week before covid. it was hard to stay quarantined lol this video rocks. Was originally gonna purchase an 6.2 scat pack challenger.

FYI, mistake, it isn’t a “quad” exhaust pipe car, its dual exhausts with dual exhaust tips.

My first M5 was the E60 then F10 then the F90 . After 25 yrs I left BMW for Porsche the F90 was traded in for a 991.2 Turbo S and currently the 992 Turbo S.

Ppl are so stupid and don't understand true craftsmanship. First of all this is a smg transmission not auto not Manuel The transmission does have a clutch just controlled electronically through the paddle shifters! Secondly yes a gtr may be faster and all wheel drive but to take that thing on a road trip can't be done especially if you have passengers that go in the back! Like comparing a Rolex to a Breitling just on a completely different level
