Avoid, minimize, or offset unavoidable emissions: Audi produces the Q4 e-tron and the Q4 Sportback e-tron with a neutral carbon footprint. The plant in Zwickau uses eco-electricity, while the battery cell suppliers are also required to use only green electricity in their production processes. Emissions that cannot be avoided at the moment are offset by climate protection projects certified by the TÜV. They meet the strict requirements of the Gold Standard Foundation.
Together with its suppliers, Audi is firmly and systematically committed to acting responsibly in all vehicle projects. Starting in 2017, the company now reviews its partners using a sustainability rating it has developed itself to ensure resource-saving production processes and adherence to social standards.
RELEASE DATE AND PRICE: Summer market introduction: prices and Edition models - The Audi Q4 e-tron will appear in June 2021 on European markets, with the Q4 Sportback e-tron following in the late summer. In Germany the list prices start at EUR 41,900 for the Q4 35 e-tron, and all versions of the Sportback cost approximately EUR 2,000 extra. Two Edition models accompany the market launch: The elegant Edition One in geyser blue embodies the design of the Q4 e-tron concept show car in a production model, while the progressive Edition One in typhoon gray turns heads thanks to its distinctly sporty and dynamic looks. The Edition models all come with a EUR 6,195 higher price tag than the regular models.
Versatile all-rounders for everyday use that transfer the progressive design of the concept cars into series production and that can be driven locally without any emissions: The Audi Q4 e-tron and the Q4 Sportback e-tron are the first compact electric SUVs from the brand with the Four Rings. Both of them impress with a new spacious dimension in the interior and pioneering solutions when it comes to operation, display, and assist systems. The augmented reality head-up display connects the virtual and the real worlds in a totally new way.
The range comprises three drive versions, spearheaded by a quattro model with a maximum output of 220 kW (299 PS). Attributes that they all share are zero local emissions driving and high ranges, charging times of around ten minutes for sufficient power to travel about 130 kilometers (80.8 mi) in ideal conditions (WLTP) and convenient charging with the e-tron Charging Service. The rear-wheel drive Q4 40 e-tron
achieves a range of up to 520 kilometers (323.1 mi) in the WLTP cycle. It goes on sale in Europe in June 2021, with prices in Germany starting at EUR 41,900 - where the customer can claim a subsidy of EUR 9,000 (net).

Honestly, I've worked in a mercedes benz assembly plant, you'd be surprised what they catch and want fixed. Things most people wouldn't even notice.

Audi still makes vehicles with drum brakes.
they are installed for a good reason. audi thinks that they should last much longer maintenance-free due to the recuperation of the batery with the front wheels.
@@TheFlyBoyBart yes, disc's just rusts...even for my PHEV Passat GTE, I have exchanged them twice in 5 years, since they died due no usage...recuperation is your friend to brake.
I would love to have drum brakes, too , since it would save a lot of money in the life time of the car.

Der neue Audi Campus soll nördlich dem Fußball Stadion in Ingolstadt gebaut werden...davor war auf dem Gelände eine Raffinerie. Jetzt muss hier 60 bis 80cm Erde abgetragen und als Sondermüll entsorgt werden, da komplett verseucht...soviel zum Thema.

Have you seen the roadster though? In my opinion its at least in the top 5 best looking cars of this decade if it releases looking like it has in the reveal
I don’t doubt that Tesla makes technology advanced cars. But their design concepts are cold, stark and really bland. The minimalist interior is just not for me and that’s why I’ll never own a Tesla. The interior of a car should be inviting and make you want to spend time in it. I don’t get that feeling in a Tesla, once I’m in it, I can’t wait to get out of it.
You may prefer buttons, more LED’s, and Italian leather. After owning multiple Audi’s a Porsche, MB, and BMW I can tell you the Tesla seat is the most comfortable. I think the understated nature of the cabins is a welcome departure, when many are garnishing their cabins with unnecessary excess.
It’s all personal preference I find refreshing that Tesla doesn’t nickel and dime it’s customers with endless expensive options lists like the German brands.

The Q4 etron is manufactured in the Zwickau plant of VW and not in an Audi plant, thats why the workers have a VW badge on the jacket, the ID3 and ID4 are also manufactured in the same plant.

I materiali interni sono per lo più fatti di plastica dura. L'ergonomia degli spazi interni anteriori è da migliorare e l'organizzazione delle componenti nel cofano è a dir poco ridicola per una macchina elettrica. Pensate che è una macchina che in base agli allestimenti può arrivare addirittura a oltre 70K.
Per pensarla, progettarla e metterla in produzione hanno dovuto investire quindi la pubblicizzano e la sponsorizzano per rientrare dai costi.
La vedremo in giro solo perché adottano un'allettante piano leasing per i poveri che voglio mostrare il loro (inesistente) potenziale....e in italia ce ne sono molti. E' proprio a loro ch marchi come Audi stanno puntando.....gli imbecilli che entrano nel loop inarrestabile del leasing per il solo gusto di mostrarsi, adeguandosi al ridicolo e odioso fenomeno del radical chic per il quale noi italiani siamo campioni del mondo

I am optimistic about EVs and how they can rebrand European carmakers. Here in the US, the thought is if you want a fun, sporty car that will probably break down with a host of problems in 3-4 years, then buy a BMW or Benz or VW or any European car. I am hopeful that the more simplistic requirements of an EV can make European brands a choice that rate higher on reliability.
They break because people don't keep on top of the maintenance. They lease with a factory service plan, run it until it's expired, turn in the lease, and then the next owner is footing the bill for all the service. There is a cost of ownership for these cars that isn't reflected in the sticker price. If you can't do the service work yourself, then it's going to cost more to have the dealer keep on top of it and most people can't do the work but also don't want to pay the dealership.
@@vomErsten I agree that people generally do not stay on top of maintenance. But the problems that VW brands are known for in America are not so much related to maintenance issues. They're known for electrical problems, which are almost always manufacturer defects. That's why I'm hesitant to buy an eTron - if it's an electric car, and VW brands are known for electrical issues, will these cars only amplify their weakest attributes?
@@5DollarHoller Audi is known for mechanical issues. Wheel hubs, timing chains, bad pulleys and, most infamously, water pump failure. VW is similar, and you can throw in grenading transmissions and leaky sun roofs.
@@vomErsten In Finland Audi models rate high on reliability. A population that in general responsibly maintains their cars; they last. In my family there is an Audi A4 with roughly 250 000km with no issues and starts first try after even the car having sat in Finnish winter conditions for a while, in -20c weather. And every time, in -10, -20, -30 or even -40 degrees celcius weather it starts first try, every time. Only thing that has had to be done is filling up the washer fluid, changing tires, changing windscreen wiper blades, changing oil and these normal maintenance things like every other car. Clearly, with responsible maintenance and ownership, they last. Where do you get your data from?
@@Speed_7545 I only have anecdata and things like the JD Power Reliability awards. I have no doubt that the reliability issues are mostly due to poor maintenance here in the US. A lot of states don't even require a basic safety inspection, and the general expectation among the population is that all cars should just work; even basic regular oil changes are a foreign concept to a surprising number of people.
Personally, my Audi has been very good to me and the only problem I've had is the keyfob getting de-synchronized from the car. But I also do all the regular maintenance Audi recommends, so...there you go.
Edit: the grenading VW transmission is personal experience. The root cause was apparently a leaky sunroof allowing water into the vehicle at such a slow rate that it is hard to detect except by the crayon-like odor that every Mk. IV Jetta has inside. That water would make its way down to the transmission control computer under the passenger seat and short the computer, causing the transmission to shift improperly until it gave up.

I was excited about this car until the shot where they are working on the tail lights and in the reflection you see a volkswagon logo and the headlights from an ID4!!! Hopefully this is just a test facility and they aren’t produced on the same line. And hopefully it’s not just a fancy Volkswagen ID4. That car is a piece of shit and has the performance of a turd. 0 to 60 in seven seconds, gross.
When I toured Lexus factory in Japan, both Lexus and Toyota's were being built on the same line. I do agree that 0-60 is turtle slow for the Q4 e-tron and pretty much disgusted by it.

Perché macchine elettriche frenano sopratutto con la rigenerazione del motore elettrico. Quindi per i freni normali c’è poco da fare. E freni a disco che non vengono usati si bloccano piu facile di freni a tamburo usato poco. Mi sembravo strano anche a me, pero fa senso.

Certo I freni in una macchina elettrica si usano meno però Tesla monta addirittura un impianto a dischi full Brembo...

Zwickau plant makes both VW ID4 and Q4, you'll see both brand uniforms worn by workers at the same facility. Porsche Cayenne assembly line in Bratislava is also a VW plant, you'll see them sporting VW uniforms I'm sure.

The drum brakes are there for the economy of owning because they see little use and disc brakes would be a quality issue. They in other words don't want to see these end up any higher than necessary on the list of unreliable cars just because rear disc brakes would fail early due to no use.

Ev's use the brakes less then ICE cars so the rear brakes tend to rust and over time stops working, drum brakes are better protected against the elements. 😁
