interesting idea, but I think it's easier to use wooden walls with spikes. And then you'll just need a hammer to fix it. And a weapon to deal with those who are stuck
thanks for the suggestion. To be honest, I never tried using spikes. I guess I prefer hitting predators rather than fixing a wall with spikes. Where is excitement in that? 😝
The idea isn't completely bad, but I think it can still be improved somewhat. when I carry 2 shotguns I make sure the other one is loaded with a different ammo type... just in case. since rifles can hip-shoot accurately I'd rely on those shots. Now of course there's the option of taking the big dakka as well. on the building part though, I haven't found a working solution yet. Best I used was just a straight up ramp-diamond with some cement foundation cubes that gave multiple layers of defense. Some guy also used a triangle of stake walls with spikes, that looked surprisingly effective despite its low effort design.
@Hellfire4WD thanks for the feedback! For ammo types, I've been sticking with standard slugs but I'm curious to try your dual-ammo approach. What's your preferred secondary ammo type that you've found effective? Regarding the base design, I tried a larger pyramid structure with a concrete core (ruclips.net/video/Tg4jI_76q3M/видео.htmlsi=ChYdlMM8olj0fXt9&t=2930) but found it to be an overkill. Your ramp-diamond setup sounds interesting. Can you share a video?
thanks @nonameoninternetwillthiswo377. The shotgun backpack is definitely a solid choice for this. I probably would've cleared the jaguars before they destroyed the East wall (at 4:50) if I had the shotgun back pack on me. In this run I went with the Survival Backpack for the +5% movement speed since I found myself doing a lot of running around to track down stuck animals.
@amdsam1 That's exactly my tactics, except sometime trees and rocks can get in the way so I prefer to run at a roughly 45% angle to see where I'm going 😊

3 layers stone blocks, 2 door entry, hedgehogs 3 rows deep.... no shot's fired, lot's o' clean up

Are you using the shotgun backpack if your not I bet that would help anyways great video!

So you're telling me that my 2 concrete walls plus defenses were actually useful? 🤣🤣🤣
Also, pro tip when dealing with bears, just move sideways. They always run at you in a straight line
@amdsam1 Thanks for watching! Yes, concrete walls can definitely be effective defences.

No skill at all this is a joke
it is impossible to do this solo lol. wave 1 is easy. but once the polar bears come out. its gg
lol, dealing with the polar bears will be the next challenge :)
