- After Vincent Luis, Jess Learmonth and the SLT Eagles dominated in Munich, get ready for another breathtaking day of racing, this time coming to you from the spiritual home of Super League Triathlon in Jersey.
The Super League Triathlon Championship Series takes place on four back-to-back weekends across September. The race dates are:
September 5: London, UK
September 12: Munich, Germany
September 18: Jersey, Channel Islands

Loving the SLT format but I have no emotional attachment to the teams idea. It is a little silly at the moment.

Agreed - can understand if there was a “team” element to it eg a mixed relay but it’s all about the individual
So .. after watching the mens race. No short chute involved .. exciting as hell. Who needs the short chute?
Watched this yesterday here in jersey and the race was so exciting and brutal at the same time. The format of swimbikerun x3 is really innovative. It is not a typical long distance race (70.3 or full) where you can predict who will be in the podium after T2. Most of the time in STL, pros are going shoulder to shoulder and the pressure is building up to the finishing line. One of the most exciting triathlon race i witnessed
so many displays there and none that makes clear who's got a short chute? glad that the DQ was taken back...

Got to lose the short chute. Ruined the first 2 men's races this season and caused chaos in the women's race today.
Not a coincidence that the men's race today was the most exciting finish by far but only because none of the front runners had a short chute.

Agreed - we could gain the same benefit of the athletes pushing hard to finish the first swim & bike legs by having a points incentive, rather than a crash team racing style short cut that ruins the end of the race for the competitors and separators.
Agree, but it's the right way; actually normal races are too flat in swim and bike portions, and are always decided in the run. I think that a bonus gained out of the water, or in a segment of bike course could lead to a more exciting races.

You couldn't not over turn it, 1. It didn't advantage her over 3rd, or change her recently position. 2. She ran it again 3. The commentary told her she had one.
This is brilliant to watch - especially the closing stages of the men's race. Think this is reflected in how many views it's had - six times as many as the Tour of Britain cycle race. Well shot too, particularly the motorbike camera given how tight and technical the course was.

Glad that GTB was reinstated, there is so much going on there needs to be much clearer signalling to both athletes and spectators about who has been awarded a short chute. The men's race was the best race of the year, just brilliant. The mixed format of this series is fascinating to watch. Love it.
How come the current Olympic champion is not there

Get rid of the short Shute it only benefits the good swimmers which isn’t fair, 🤷🏻♂️ what about the fastest bikers or the fastest runners🤷🏻♂️
Short chute is a good idea for short circuit racing but you should only be able to pick up one and the next rolls down.
Bellissimo spettacolare, peccato che le inquadrature siano solo per i primi e non si riesca a seguire gli altri triatleti.
She was so far between 1st and 3rd that the cut had no impact to the race outcome. Need an official to block the short shoot for all but eligible.

Great races once again but really the organization definitely has some space for improvement. Leaderboards only getting updated after every principle and in some cases not correctly, shaky cameras and athletes need to rely on outsiders shouting at them for short cutes? 1:20:00
Hopefully next year will see some improvements

Fortunately the disqualification was overturned! So we got the right decision in the end and GTB and Jess continue to be a class of their own. :)
No offence to SL but it you're going to add finicky and gimicky little things to an already fast and at times confusing format some athletes are going to go off script, it's not (sorry) something for GTB to start bawling over tbh...i don't blame her but the creators of this craze fest that seems to not know itself (look at the 10 SL assistants are gathered around looking confused as the athletes )

The first time I ser Vincent Luis blow up. The strongest Triathlete is too old now. fortunately the j.o were not in 2020 otherwise he would have won with 1 minute in advance

DQ needs reviewing tho, someone makes a mistake after a long race, a time penalty or like GTB did make up the distance is more than adequate.

Some people just do not understand that rules should only be applied when they are relevant. This is just stupid and it destroys the format ..
