Yes- In Texas, you have to take your exams in a designated proctored testing center!

Do you need to be Texas resident before you get the real estate license? I’m starting online classes outside Texas. I like Austin or San Antonio

Hi @Adriatico90 From what I'm aware, you are not required to be a Texas resident to obtain a Texas real estate license. *** However -- when you do decide to join/interview to join a brokerage - they might ask where your knowledge base comes from since every metroplex/cities around Texas have different types of building/local zoning...etc
Also both San Antonio and Austin are growing cities! I love both cities!!
