Hole cutter in a pillar drill should help with notching pipe out. Enjoying the channel
Unfortunately my pillar drill isn’t man enough to hole saw tube, I keep looking at tube notchers and having to stop myself buying one, I’m running out of space to accommodate everything atm lol
For tube notching use the welding rod and jubilee clip technic to get exact profile you need to cut
Never heard of or seen that before, is there a video I can watch on that? I’m guessing Lay the rod round the pipe and clamp it?
Great video once again. Can’t wait 3 months!!
I’ll still be uploading mate, turns out the other project needs a whole lot of work aswel, I don’t think 3months will be long enough 🤦🏼🤣
I use Bosch belts for the finger sander, and yes, the blue are best.
I use the 3M Cubitron II belts for the finger file. They're a bit pricey at $2USD each but the 60 grit absolutely rips and they last a good while.
Thank you, I’ll see if I can find a supplier of them here in the uk, the good ones I have, although they’re good, they don’t last long unfortunately
You smashed that rear sill infill area 😀 excellent job
Thank you, definitely looks better like this!
Great job so far m8
"shoot the length"... o yeh! told you last time to stop flirting with us haha you have to do a rear mounted rad 💪
Lol only thing that concerns me with a rear mount rad is the potential burn risk should it ever overheat and pop, I could make some sort of compartment I guess but I’d rather not, I think I might go down the fuel cell in the back route yet aswel… after all that work making the rear tubs to work with a fuel filler neck 🤦🏼😂
excellent progress young man, but OTT putting the bung-hole back in?
i would go straight across the rails [well, sorta straight], then another across the back to tie everything together, then boot floor is not structural [ally diffuser later]
when i was a lad, audis always had the rad right over to the left, never a problem
Yeh, I wasn’t going to bother initially, but I knew not doing it would probably end up with me then blanking the other 3 to suit lol
And I think you’re right with the rear, I’ll make up a new piece to go across to marry up to the existing bits, gives abit of structure back to the boot floor and possibly help towards stopping any chassis flex
Great progress Terry, you are doing a hell of a job marra.
Thanks Neil, gutted to pull off it for a couple of months to be honest but needs must while the workshop space is available
Love the video!
Great work Terry. Looking forward to 3 months time 👍
Cheers dude, got plenty to do on the other project during the 3months, abit more than I was hoping in all honesty 🤦🏼😂
awesome this Terry, good progress!
Cheers dude
Getting there buddy 👍👍👍
Hi terry,iv seen people doing the notches out on the tubes with the holecutters!! Don't no if that would help m8 😊😊😊
Having the tube notching tool would be great, that uses hole saws, I’m not sure how long the hole saws would last on the tube though, I have a feeling it could get expensive rather quickly haha
@Tdevil86 well that way could cost u lol just do it n let's see the finish m8
3m belts are the best comes with a price tag though
Iv just ordered some so hopefully they’ll be here soon 🤞🏻 definitely not the cheapest option but if the quality is good it’ll be worth the extra 🙂
Nice work as always tel. Regards from Ireland mate.
Thanks George 🍻
Much better..
Great job once again Terry and that turbo would look lovely on my push bike but you are a bit far for me to pedal too as i am in Norwich worth a try thought
Haha, wouldn’t take you long to get back though 🤣
Terry, cooling wise could you mount two small rads one in each front wheel arch?
You know what Phil , that’s a blinding idea actually mate, I hadn’t thought of that but it could work, il have to look into it and see if I’ll need a extra pump to help the coolant circulate 🤔 would be a lot better than running coolant pipes front to back and having fans going behind my head!!
@@Tdevil86 (have a look at a few of the larger motorbike rads with integral fans and just get one for each side)..
Pity this Escort project is being put on hold.but I'm looking forward to whatever [roject you ahve lined up for next.
Only on hold for a short while, I’m really enjoying it so il get back into as soon as I can 👌🏼 plenty to sort out on the other car though as you’ll soon see 🙈
Terry... any updates?
Not as yet buddy, I will be getting back into this one in the next month or so though 👌🏼
Wonder if that turbskie would fit my focus rs
It wouldn’t be a straight swop if you’re on a standard turbo
@@Tdevil86 running standard at mo
Unfortunately it wouldn’t be a straight fit atm, you’ll have a t25/t3 flange on your manifold. You’d need a bigger t4 flange and custom down pipe for this to work
@@Tdevil86 mines the mk2 rs bud think its a completely diffrent set up
What’s with the re upload
First video wasn’t full screen, like a tit I clicked the wrong setting while exporting it at 2am this morning, this one has the right settings now…
