      @Tdevil86  Год назад

      Welcome aboard mate. Anything’s possible and from the quick search Iv just done a Sierra p100 has a 114.7” wheelbase and the xf has a 114.5” wheelbase. I’m not sure if the cortina and Sierra are the same though? The track width is wider on the xf but you can always widen the arches to suit in a way that doesn’t take away from the standard look of them if you want a stock look.
      Have a go I say, would be a wicked project!

      That will need IVA testing and a new reg to get on the road legally, not the end of the world but I'd look into it before building it because it will effect how you want to construct it. I'm all for people doing whatever projects float their boats but an S3 as a base under an escort seems backwards when the 4x4 Cossie Escort is already available and way more fun than an S3?

      @stance_fb Год назад

      @@Tdevil86 I was 1 video behind lol, after watching your newest fit up I think custom towers might be necessary. Mk5 golf top hats would allow you to cut out that raised circular portion of the tower and lose 20mm - 1in

    You would have to build a viable space frame chassis.

    • @Tdevil86
      @Tdevil86  Год назад

      Apparently I can get this thing checked out and registered as kit car once it’s done, providing it passes the test of course! It’ll be structurally sound once finished and it’ll have the addition of a full weld in rollcage with A,B pillar gussets etc aswel so it’ll be a tough old thing when it’s complete. If it doesn’t pass it’s not the end of the world anyway, it was only ever intended to be a track car anyway.
