saw her do this tonight in Toronto and WOWWWWW, she was absolutely incredible every note was perfect and so resonant. Her acting coupled with her vocals are the making of an all time Elphie
@@mrbroadwaydork same also was honor to watch and have Lauren be my first Elphaba here in Canada also would love to see do either Broadway or West End.
I’ve seen her do the show 3 times now and she is absolutely incredible. Her acting choices are so believable and heartbreaking. And her voice is so powerful and mesmerizing
Was so honor to have see Lauren and Austin both my First Elphaba and Gilnda at Princess of Wales Theater on July 21st for there final Wicked performance.
Having watched all the bootlegs now -- there is a unique edge about Lauren's vocals for me... Someone mentioned something about 'brassiness', and that feels like a good word for it. Makes it feel especially gutsy. anyway, she is already so exciting and I want her to bring her Elphaba to the West End! ❤
I still can't believe Lauren was never Elphaba on West End and I really hope the ones responsible for that regret it now, because she is one of the best actresses out there and she deserved to be Elphaba on West End years ago!!! I hope we can someday see her on West End as Elphaba
I saw them in Grand Rapids, and Lauren was absolutely amazing but I was a little bit disappointed by Austen as Glinda. The cat fight seen is one of a few comedic beats that Austen just seemed to not quite land the timing/delivery on. (To be clear, Austen was great, it’s just in comparison to some of the other Glinda’s I’ve seen that she seemed not quite as good).
This is the tour version so they don't have the Broadway set so she can't be lifted up out of the stage on the elevator so I think that's why she just runs on stage holding the book.
@@parkerjames11 You're right. For the UK/IRE tours and the UK/International Tour, Chistery held the Grimmerie for Elphaba. Not sure if they're still doing that.
this is the 2ND national tour and was made a little “cheaper” to accommodate a faster load-in/out process and provide less cost to the actual venue for any major technical changes. The 1NT did have a little platform that was just the size of the book that lifted downstage center. If memory serves me right this 2NT set was reused from the Chicago sit-down production after it closed in January 2009. I maybe wrong. I like the idea of Chistery holding the book for this scene, it gives more of a feeling that he “works” for Elphaba, than accompanies her.

I was sitting 3rd row from front absolutely mesmerized by her acting, her beauty and her voice. I had shivers ❤
I am so blown away by this actress. This one of the strongest leads we've seen in YEARS. She better go straight to Broadway after this!
We want her in the westend lol
REALLL

@@simplythebestvids2344she can do that after Broadway ❤❤❤
This is the most exciting debut of an Elphaba there has been in a WHILE. She is channeling golden age Elphabas and the acting is amazing!
Iv heard this alot she gives off early 2000s era..
I’ve seen her do the show 3 times now and she is absolutely incredible. Her acting choices are so believable and heartbreaking. And her voice is so powerful and mesmerizing
She just has such main character energy, with a voice to match. Absolutely STUNNING!
She’s going to be a forced to be reckoned with. She’s giving me Julia Murney vibes which I absolutely adore.
That acting through song I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more dedicated elphaba
Saw Lauren three times whilst I was in Toronto. Her acting is incredible, and her voice was pitch perfect every time . ❤
I was fortunate to see her twice - would have loved to have seen her three or even more times! She is amazing!!

Lauren’s talent is out of this world 😳 unbelievable . She is so versatile - emotional and funny and she lights up anything she is in ⚡️

Omg she is AMAZING, she's giving golden age elphaba, she's so perfect!!! Her staring down the camera at 3:21 is scaryyy! So iconic

Rumour has it she will replace alexia in London
I just saw her last night. She’s amazing! So was Austen!
Flying over to Toronto to see her in July - can’t wait ❤
By the way Sue your daughter Lauren rocks as Elphaba also was honor to have meet her after the show outside of Princess of Wales Theater in Toronto.
Thank you. She is incredible. I am in awe of her commitment, her acting and of course her fabulous voice.
Going to go see her June 15th! Can't wait!
Lucky
She's FANTASTIC
Get her to broadway now
She's so good - almost Rachel Tucker level
Do you have Lauren and Austen's catfight scene?!!

Let's just start her cult following now.
Man everyone is losing their minds over her and I’m like…meh? What am I missing?
do you have what is this feeling?
would you be willing to trade for this bootleg of the show? I’m assuming you have the full show
highly unimportant: but why is Lauren holding the book? where's the little platform? just curious lol.

Did the first tour have a different stage because there the book did rise up on the holder?
