How do you flush the coolant on a mk7.5 GTI? I am at my wit's end trying to find out how to do this and I keep coming up short. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Sorry I haven’t done a flush on the golf r given it is still under 20K KM, but I believe these car don’t have a specific grain plug to drain from but jut via the lower coolant radiator hose by pulling the metal clip and the fitting will release
I think you have it backwards. The VW Audi concentrate should be no less than 50% coolant concentrate, and option to go 60/40 or 70/30 (coolant/distilled water) for higher protection/boil point. Just did a failed coolant vent tube adapter, also VAG dealer now sells newest "G12evo" that replaces G13 and is backwards compatible
@Carlos Mateus the engine cover is the Tiguan cover. I got if from a group buy many years back on one of my Facebook Groups. Unfortunately I don’t have the part number on hand, but I am sure you can find them online or through the dealer
The only thing im looking for is the LEVEL of the coolant cuz my Golf mk7 throw out the coolant from the coolant tank oveflowing i will have a look at that and see the results ❤️
Does your temp gauge work fine Or it just throws coolant from the reservoir? Mine is doing the same thing and I can’t figure it out.. Car runs fine, no power loss or anything but it just trows coolant and my temp gauge does not work properly
Hi, great video. I have a few questions I've been thinking about for years but never got around to asking anyone. Can I run only water? Can I run only coolant? Thanks.
Thank you 🙏 In regards to your questions, if you have the chance to watch the video I did cover the proper ratios of coolant to water depending on the weather conditions and I wouldn’t deviate from that. I also noted the proper details on the description. In any case I will never use 100% coolant. In desperation, I would rather use water (preferably distilled) before putting a pure coolant.
@@JNBTuning p/n: KKG 13 solution that you use per gallon, if that makes any sense. The coolant from dealership says not to add water. It’s 50/50 ready to use. Just add the solution to the gallon of coolant and no mixing with water.
I have a Golf Mk7 2.0 TDI from 2013, which Started overheating. The gauge goes from 90 to 120-130 in just a few seconds and then goes back down as fast after staying there for a while. There's no pattern to it, it can happen after 3 hours of driving like after 4 minutes of standing still. I have changed thermostat and coolant temperature sensor but the temperature still rises to 130°. No white smoke from the exhaust and no bubbles in the coolant container. I read on the forums and people have the same problem as me, and they changed the water pump but they still have the same problem. So it's stupid for me to change the water pump and the problem won't be solved. Has anyone had the same problems with the Mk7 2.0 TDI? Thanks in advance for any help.
😅Yeah I don’t like driving my toys that I plan to keep for life in this harsh salted winter seasons. I have dedicated vehicles for that. We are not so blessed to have the weather where my toys can be driven all year long, so I store them most of the time☹️
My golf R Mk 7.5 2017 has just rolled over to 28,000 in 2023. Still makes me smile everytime I get onto it.
Likewise 👍🏻
I can tell bros car gonna last 900k miles the way he put that coolant in
Thank you. I find this very useful. All the best.
@Eric you’re welcome!
Thanks for the detailed video! 👍
You are welcome 🙏
Why not use ready mixed antifreeze from VW which they supply at least here in the UK
The 50/50 mix works as well if you don’t want to deal with the concentrated jug
Its amazing how many channels show to fill to the top line.... smh also it is okay to top up a small amount with distilled water.
Video on bleeding the system if it is airlocked?

Hey, did you remove your silica bag?
No not yet! I thought about it.
Yeah, I'm thinking about doing it soon. I've read that it can burst and clog up the cooling system. I think I better do it soon. I have a 2013 MK7 TDI
Is it 60% water VS. 40% coolant/antifreeze
OR 60% coolant/antifreeze VS. 40% water?

Omg. He made science fiction out of coolant toping. You better find out why your car is low on coolant in the first place
What if your coolant alarm is on and you find your reservoir completely empty? What is best in a situation like this. Car did not overheat though.
Top it up and look for the source of leakage

Why did my vw dealership give me a small bottle of solution that they say I must mix with the g13 coolant? Thanks
What was this solution they gave you exactly?

The coolant I used is G013A8J1G and it requires a distilled water mixture
@@JNBTuning ok no water mixture here just the solution mix with the gallon of coolant which is much easier I think.
That lid isn’t closed. It should make a lock when closed and it will feel loose .thats when it’s closed
Dont be scared to increase coolant to max line or even above. Especially when car is cold and you have not air bubble inside system
After 13000km where did the coolant go .
Might be a leak in your water pump then you have to replace water pump and thermostat
Is this the new Breaking Bad?
😂
This guy is acting like it’s made of nuclear radiation
😂 …ter be safe than sor…
Never seen anyone wear goggles to add coolant dafuk 😂
In all seriousness, this video didn't have to be almost 12 mins long...
This video didn’t have to exist. lol If you can pour a glass of water you can top up your coolant.
13k in 3 years? I just did 100k in 3 years in my mk3 TT. 😂

How’s your cooling fan and radiator? What is the color on the coolant? Is the coolant depleting?
Water pump
Water pump or auxiliary belt
13000 in 3 yrs!!! i do that in a year

i’ve had my mk7 gti for 6 months and have put about 12k on it😂😳
Give him a couple hundred years and he'll have the actual thing flushed
