- What is the current state of the EV industry in the United States? Tesla is now less than 50% of new EV marketshare in the U.S. There’s a presidential election happening in less than four months with a lot on the line. EV incentives are everywhere, but are they enough? What do different parts of the country think about EVs and what are they wondering about regarding adding one to their garage?

38:00 My 2014 Chevy Impala I bought from Hertz Car Sales in 2016 for $14k with 50k miles on it. It drives like a dream. No issues at all. Has 138k miles on it. I use it for road trips in the CCS1 charging desert that is West Virginia.

Yes, I bring my Ioniq 6 to Cars and Coffees in Winston-Salem North Carolina, folks don't understand Hyundai good, Toyota and Honda bad for EVs but I just tell them if you want a Bz4X or Prologue (some don't know what EVs Toyota and Honda have), just buy it. I will say high schoolers and college kids LOVE my Ioniq 6 and know that it is a Hyundai and an EV.
