Tbf to Obi-Wan Kenobi, I don't think the main problem was too much content (even though I agree that most of the characters/event really had no purpose in the show). Personally, I think the main reason the show didn't work for me was the fact the central conflict (Obi Wan getting over Anakin) didn't really resolve to much. I think a movie would have worked better but I feel Disney just wanted to get that sweet marketing shot of Obi-Wan vs Vader (my dirty ass definitely wanted to see that fight I admit it)
The show was also completely unnecessary, because Obi-Wan already got over Anakin. He wouldn't need 10 years and a bunch of fights. He already knew Anakin was Vader in Revenge of the Sith, and Yoda and him talk about how "the boy you once knew is gone".
I think the problem indeed of sw Disney doesn't move forward and permanently turning around with all characters secondaries. It has become the walking dead is turning around without needs spine off and now the walking is full of spines off.
Can never get enough Andor praise. Been looking at tons of videos reviewing and dissecting that season and your vid popped up. Appreciate the (funny) recaps on the prior shows too. One thing I’ll add is that after 4 episodes of Ahsoka, I think I’m done. Andor has spoiled me for what Star Wars content should be… Plus I don’t find it that good to begin with 🙄. Characters sucks, the acting is… questionable, dialogue suuuucks, pacing is slow af and the show treats the viewer like an idiot. But don’t worry, for someone like me who’s never seen Ahsoka outside of Mando, I REALLY feel and understand the relationship she has with all these other people from all these other shows. Oh look! Is that Anakin?!?
Decanonizing and ignoring the EU was a MASSIVE mistake. Imagine a live action show based on the grittier Republic comics, telling a more compelling story about the Clone Wars than TCW 2008 ever did : the disastrous Battle of Jabiim, Quinlan Vos' struggles with the Dark Side, amnesia and betrayal, the rise of terrorists like Grievous, Asajj Ventress and Durge, giving the spotlight to minor characters. Imagine a show based on the Legacy comics, set 130 years AFTER the OT, starring Cade Skywalker and his struggle with his family's legacy, being a Jedi, while dealing with a new form of the Sith and a seemingly benevolent new Empire. Imagine a show and movies based on the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight games, starring Kyle Katarn rise from rebel commando to Jedi Master and his apprentice, Jaden Korr, and whether he's a product of Imperial experiments or not. Imagine a show about Adalric Brandl, a Force sensitive actor who is recruited by the Empire and becomes an Inquisitor, only to defect and go his own way. Imagine KOTOR 1, 2 and the comics being adapted. This and so much more is what we gave up in 2014. For what ? Tincan dad and Baby Yoda ? Kenobi ? Boba Fett ? The Sequels ? A worse rehash of the Thrawn trilogy by Dave Filoni with his own original characters ?

@@zogwort1522 I’m just an average Star Wars fan. I’m not claiming that everything LucasFlims does is a gem, but when I go looking for reviews i typically find one of two things. I don't think the problem with TBOBF was its reliance on other shows. You could survive not knowing who Cad Bane was while watching the show. You got enough context to know he's an old enemy of Boba Fett. That's all I knew when I saw the show. I think the real problem with the show is that it had about as much of a plot as your typical porno. We didn't even know who the main antagonist was until the penultimate episode. That's not okay. And the other problem was all the flashbacks. It should've been told in a more linear fashion so that you had a reason to care about the flashbacks, instead of constantly being interrupted by them. I do, however, think that sending Grogu back to Din Djarrin within TBOBF was a mistake. Not so much because you're obligating people to watch other content, but because that was too short a time for Grogu to be away. It seems like an idea they came up with, and then immediately abandoned when they decided it would hurt The Mandalorian's ratings. They didn't have anything for Grogu and Din to *do* when Grogu came back, because they obviously hadn't planned on Din still having to babysit Grogu. I thnk that's how Din's plot got sidelined. (I won't say that Din himself got sidelined, because he was still a major focus of all the episodes in season 3. It's fair to say that Bo Katan's *mission* took precedence in season 3, but Din was still the focus. As for Andor, I thought the pacing of the first 6 episodes was awful. It was acceptable that not much happened in episodes 1 and 2. Those were just set up and world building. Fair enough. But the 3-story arc doesn't work if nothing happens until the third story. Episodes 4 and 5 were just sitting around and talking. That works in a play, or in a written story, but film is a visual medium. The characters have to *do* things. Once they got to the prison, things got moving again, but it really didn't start to get consistently *good* until episode 6.
I miss when all these show ideas would've just been books, like I get the legends stuff was all over but at least for most of the content it was cool and you saw star wars actually handle different takes of the universe. Now everything is like a reflection of what was while making everything fit together like gum to your shoes.

Although having the reuse of dialogue from the old movies make me go bonkers, I've always looked forward to anything Star Wars in the hopes of Disney expanding the Star Wars Canon universe.
I'm probably never going to like a lot of Star Wars shows that happen today, even if they are good. This is primarily because I really liked the original 3 movies and watched them in the theatres when they were new, BUT then the prequels (which were way better and prettier than the sequels) kind of ruined the Jedi, the force, and Darth Vader for me and I kind of stopped watching. I did watch the first sequel movie only to discover that by comparison the prequels were better. But hey, it would certainly be better if Disney made GOOD shows about Star wars.
The way Disney has handled Star Wars will go down as one of the worst mangling of an IP of all time. I mean, you make a “new trilogy” of arguably the most beloved thing to ever come out, and instead of hiring a great team and planning out rounded characters and satisfying story lines, they just rehash the original and then completely drop the ball with different directors who actively tried to make the other one look incompetent THROUGH THE MOVIE by making what came before it seem stupid. God it makes me mad. The lost potential man. There’s an alternate universe somewhere where the new trilogy was some award winning, universally loved masterpiece
Secretly hoping Disney listens to it's fans that are comsuming this content, if something's bothering the fans that their heavily relying on for views it should be adressed. but i also wish deaply for creativity to be excuted properly in future shows or movies. i enjoy a good story that i can finish and sit back and be satified with after watching it
It's all garbage When I was growing up(well before Disney bought it) there wasn't an issue with being over inundated with content. Had tons of comic releases, and LOTS of books coming at you from all over the place. And it was easy to digest even though the quality for books was al over the place The chief issue with all of their shows though(even clonewars which you said you like) is that there is no BIBLE. No guiding text that forces ideas to go through an approval gauntlet to guarantee it fits within it's context AND previously established rules and lore. George Lucas used to be as close as you could get to for that but he stopped caring what they did years ago and even when he did they barely consulted him P.S.- If any of you kids actually lover Star Wars pre-disney hunt down Star Wars Legacy(the Dark Horse comics not the new garbage)
I think the Mandalorian is still all good. I think the bad batch is decent. The Book of Boba Fett is when it all started to fall apart. I think the characterization and general concept was flawed from the beginning, and there was no reason that some episodes were part of the Mandalorian’s continuity. Still I think it had a solid start. Obi-wan had a lot of potential, but suffered from many of the same problems but exasperated. I thought that having Hayden Christensen back as Vader for a confrontation was awesome in a meta sense, but was silly for the show about obi wan during his isolation period. And so and and so fourth. Not to mention other more pressing issues. The shows just keep losing that spark and strong foundation that the clone was finale and the Mandalorian ignited
all these “ shows “ feel so cheap and the writing is terrible hell obi wan wasn’t even about obi wan and the only thing i remember about ahsoka is the anakin flashbacks
Would watch a video about the Gina Carajo* breadcrumb trail as a cautionary tale about online radicalization *that’s my name for her now, also it roughly translates to “Dammit, Gina!” for any fellow oldsters who remember the “Martin” TV show from the 90’s
Whilst I don’t have a problem with continuous Star Wars content be it a movie, show or game the shows are severely lacking due to outside interference from other producers (Kathleen) who insist on meddling with the creation just so they can add “popular” trends into it to make the show quote “diverse.” Star Wars is already beyond diverse as it is. All I want is a tasty concoction with an outstandingly written story as well as complex and intricate characters

I had no hype towards The Mandalorian and I still find it a mediocre space western that was only well received because of TRoS. Season 2 was a glorified showreel of upcoming Disney+ shows, and Season 3 was just underwhelming garbage. Andor is just plain overrated. "OOOOOOH It's Gooooood cuz it's edgy, and grounded, and gritty". It's yet another generic Rebels vs Empire story, only this time from the perspective of a bunch of disposable British blue collar stereotypes vs British white collar stereotypes, flat disposable characters, zero imagination, boring stakes, Ep. 4-6 are just a Rogue One remake on a dime budget, the prison arc overstays its welcome REALLY fast and the subplot about the Separatist rebel being sacrificed (which would have been infinitely more interesting) was only left as a background mention. So NO, it's not the best Star Wars we ever got.
If I had a dollar for every so called Star Wars fan who bitches and moan, cry’s that SW isn’t this or SW isn’t that or I’m burnt out on Star Wars, I would be a freaking millionaire by now. I know everyone has a right to speak there mind and freely express their opinions but my god , if you don’t like SW shows stop watching them there never going to make them the way you want them and Star wars will never be like the originals, never. Just like in life , everything changes . I was 9 when SW first came out and I was blown away and it changed me forever, but I know that things change. I’m 55 and things aren’t like they used to be, and I don’t like it. I just have to deal with it. That’s life.
I was 9 when the OT finished and I loved it. When the prequels came out I was adult and they felt off, but recently I was talking to a friend that was 9 when the prequels came out and he preferred them over the OT. It made me realise, maybe Star Wars has not changed that much, I have. As you say, you can't be 9 again, so it will never be the same. You just have to enjoy it for what it is, space opera made to appeal to a wide age range. They made an adult Star Wars series; Andor. It was great, but hardly anyone watched it! Also, Fathers/Mothers couldn't d share the experience with their Kids, like all the other content, as the kids were bored.
Bro, people aren't enjoying star wars continuing to be a live action cartoon written for kids when people can clearly sees that these shows pale in comparison to other offerings like ST4, HoTD, or you know, Andor... You can like these sw products but it's CLEAR when something is made with passion.

Noooo, this vid was going so Good. Andor is the worst. A Show Merched from other movies. Andor on the run, Andor in a Heist, Andor in Prison, So Predictable. Blade Runner, Ocean's 11, Thx 1138 rip offs. Sad cause it cheapens Andor's character. Gilroy phoned Andor in. Learn film history.
Plus Andor breaks continuity, the Rebels first Victory was Rouge One (ironic), not Stealing Empire Credits like in Andor. And the Galaxy knew about the Rebels. No excuses.
Whaaat? A character has to pull off a heist and escape from prison? Which has been a writing trope for centuries? How incredibly derivative, what poor quality! You seemingly know as much about film history as you do creative writng. And if you really want to nit-pick, be my guest. The theft in Andor wasn't perceived as a feat of a large organized rebellion which didn't even exist at that point, but an expected act of rebellion from a tiny rebelling group of which they barely had any grasp. Stealing the Death Star may have been their first large victory, but it was never the absolute first.
@@vegasgone07-dh4lb The Battle of Scarif is the first victory for the Rebel Alliance, and Andor series is sets before that. It's being implied that along with Aldhani heist, Ezra's speech in Rebels also allowing the rebel move to spread faster. So... it's not contradict the established canon.

Phantom Menace is slept on.
You foegot 3 shows Rebela, Asoka, and Resistance.
I don't think he forgot.
Secretly hoping Disney listens to it's fans that are comsuming this content, if something's bothering the fans that their heavily relying on for views it should be adressed. but i also wish deaply for creativity to be excuted properly in future shows or movies. i enjoy a good story that i can finish and sit back and be satified with after watching it
birddemic was mentioned so i must remind everyone that becky is taking a s**t.
Great video brotha
Im sorry but 14:45 made me wanna check this episode out😂😂😂
Great video earned sub fr I hope you blow up

Why do you like to torture yourself? Why is Ep9 there?
A fellow Jar Jar fan!
It's all garbage
When I was growing up(well before Disney bought it) there wasn't an issue with being over inundated with content. Had tons of comic releases, and LOTS of books coming at you from all over the place. And it was easy to digest even though the quality for books was al over the place
The chief issue with all of their shows though(even clonewars which you said you like) is that there is no BIBLE. No guiding text that forces ideas to go through an approval gauntlet to guarantee it fits within it's context AND previously established rules and lore. George Lucas used to be as close as you could get to for that but he stopped caring what they did years ago and even when he did they barely consulted him
P.S.- If any of you kids actually lover Star Wars pre-disney hunt down Star Wars Legacy(the Dark Horse comics not the new garbage)
How in the world does this guy have 84 subs and 229 views?
I was thinking the same thing. We gotta get this channel into the algorithm
How tf do you only have 120 subs?
all these “ shows “ feel so cheap and the writing is terrible hell obi wan wasn’t even about obi wan and the only thing i remember about ahsoka is the anakin flashbacks
1:56 did you physically pinch your nose for that voice?
Andor really was somthing amazing
How to fix let star wars breathe for 5 years make people want star wars.
Would watch a video about the Gina Carajo* breadcrumb trail as a cautionary tale about online radicalization
*that’s my name for her now, also it roughly translates to “Dammit, Gina!” for any fellow oldsters who remember the “Martin” TV show from the 90’s
Just now you're tired? Most of us have been tired.
This and Obi wan was totally a glorified fan film..
Ahsoka is good actually.
Ahsoka is good, but I hate Sabine with the fire of a thousand burning suns. She's had a terrible character arc through all four episodes so far.
I'm OK with Sabine. I liked her in Rebels. The actress for her in Ahsoka is good. I really enjoy the show.
Solution.... Fire Kathleen K. Then wait a few years to get the bad taste out of everyone's mouth. Then try again.
So basically, make a franchise go into hibernation. I can see that happening. I mean, just look at Godzilla. That franchise went into hibernation from 2004-2014.
@@jennyc7543 Wouldn’t that technically be since 1999 with the one based in New York?
@@ethancourtneyii3269 nope. After that movie was the Millenium era of Godzilla films from 1999-2004.
Godzilla 2000
Godzilla vs Megaguirus
GMK: Giant Monsters All Out Attack
Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla
Tokyo SOS
Godzilla Final Wars
@@jennyc7543 aaah okay I gotta watch those then, I don’t think I realized they existed lol
Nope...done
Star Wars used to be special. A new film or series every 3 years. Maybe a top quality game that adds to the lore. Now it’s just… a freaking avalanche of Content TM. I loved Obi-Wan precisely because I gave up watching everything else after Mando S2E2.
Tbh i liked phantom menace
OT is overrated boomer shit
decent movies, but overrated as hell
Ahsoka's like slightly better than Kenobi and Mando Season 3 but fans are gonna say it's a 10/10 because Anakin showed up
I would say it's significantly better. Not 10 out of 10, but at least 7/10.
@@moabman6803 yeah I agree, 6/10 or 7/10 for me
@@Hat_With_A_Hat_On Totally agree with the villains. Both Baylin and Shin are fun and interesting and new takes on the fallen Jedi trope that we've seen a lot of in the last couple years. Baylin feels like what they wanted to do with Dooku before turning him into just a generic sith lord
Oooo...I dunno, Mando Season 1 ep2 is sweet...don't see it as filler at all. The AT/ST....1st taste of filler for Mando for me
Mandolian just silly i thought this was a movie hate train yhea the shows are writen by people on shrooms vikadine & weed & booze so ofcourse its not gona be quality content fallout & walkin dead are thy last good tv shows stil around
w take

And yet you have a Galaxy Of Heroes advert before your video. That's how tired of it you are.
Bullshit.
i was gonna sub ..... but the phantom mennis is 10x better than disny
Studios always default towards mediocrity and derivative content. Just make some memes.
Especially when they bring up the "That's not how it works," as if they wrote star wars
Star Wars blows now.
Let me guess u say its drainin u cuz yer gona say its 2 woke if u dont like star wars then dont watch the real fans wil cheer it on like we always hav
Another thumbs down.
Another channel ignored.
Is it just possible that you saw Star Wars at a time when you were just a dumb kid and didn't realize that Star Wars hasn't been good since 1998?
Here's a thought, stop watching.
Bro, people aren't enjoying star wars continuing to be a live action cartoon written for kids when people can clearly sees that these shows pale in comparison to other offerings like ST4, HoTD, or you know, Andor...
You can like these sw products but it's CLEAR when something is made with passion.
This
Oh my gad! I've never seen anyone mention the battle droid autopsy. Is that for real? LOL, I just can't even. This is why I don't bother watching disnay stor whores any mores.
Then stop watching for awhile. If its becoming an obligation to watch....just stop.
I mean.... Bo Katan is a Mandalorian.......
I liked season 3. You're all weird nerds
And your a mindless consumer
How about stop being a consumer and use your energy on actual thjngs that matters?
Than don't watch it lol
@@b.h.4249 Guess Disney Star Wars is better than No Star Wars.
You have not seen resistance yet have you?
@@vegasgone07-dh4lb The Battle of Scarif is the first victory for the Rebel Alliance, and Andor series is sets before that. It's being implied that along with Aldhani heist, Ezra's speech in Rebels also allowing the rebel move to spread faster. So... it's not contradict the established canon.
The Clone Wars was garbage what are you talking about?
