I like Sebastian’s thinking concerning the MRI machine. If there was a bad earthquake, or a gunman came in the facility, or whatever-you’re on your own.
Being a grandparent…I’ve been watching young grandkids. I help them with their clothes. I get them into matching shirts and pants, etc.
Sometimes I say “no” and that’s the final word. Occasional breakdowns with the 3 year old…but he knows it doesn’t work with me. They know I love them and I am affectionate with them. I work at encouraging good behavior. They have come to respect me.
And we’ll pay for the funeral! 😂😂😂😂
I live south of Fredonia, its an absolutely charming all American town..
I like the name Fredonia, it’s cool. And Pete makes every town event there sound like fun. I picture the cute town from Gilmore Girls, but instead of Luke muttering at his diner, there’s Pete takin a ‘hit’ on his porch. Lol
Lisa, it absolutely charming. From Victorian style houses to craftsman and carriage houses. It's easy to know your neighbors and they still do traditional activities, like parades, craft shows & festivals... it's awesome he can sit on his porch with a one hitter now that it's legal in NY. It's a wonderful life!! Frankly I absolutely dig how grounded he is. I like sabastian but he has become umm sorta pretentious.. apparently that's what an abundance of money does to people.. 🤷♀️

I used to do medicine trials while I was a student in university - it didn't pay that well! 😅
If someone said to me that they were gonna rock a piss I would bust out laughing.
Yeah I tapped out of one of those MRI machines once too. They locked me into it with a roller coaster style brace. Once I was in that death tube my thoughts went wild. The ceiling was like 2 inches from my eyes, even though it was a "so called" open MRI. Within 8 minutes, I ripped off the steel brace that was holding me down and broke out of the machine.
I had a full blown panic attack and pulled the bolts out with my bare hands that were anchoring it down. I literally crawled out of that thing on my back with the broken off brace still attached to my torso. I ran out of the place screaming and warning everyone else not to go into it. I did not know I had that much strength to break out of that machine until the panic attack. I guess the 4 milligrams of Xanax I took before getting there wasn't going to help me that day after all 🤣😂
Omg, I feel so bad for you going thru that, I know how that feels. I have to get closed/regular MRI every year for almost 3hrs (I have MS). But, omg, cracking up at your description!! 😂
@@Lisa.Tammaro-333 I am so sorry to hear about your health issues and having to go into one of those so frequently. Yes, lol I turned into the Hulk. I was so desperate to get out of there that I got strength I did not know I even had, 😂🤣

😂😂😂😂😂 you two hit on sooo many great points that are true. I've had one MRI that I had an allergic reaction to the contrast... They pulled me out and handed me a tray and said, if you have to throw up, use this. I was so disappointed that they they made me continue. I was the last patient of the day at 12 midnight and they wanted to go home. When I got back to my room I hugged the toilet for awhile. Thanks for bringing up memories for me. 😂 😋

I may be the only one but I'm thankful when my kids gained the maturity and ability to do things on their own. I'm preparing them to be adults, being able to dress and express yourself on your own is one of the easiest things to let go of. Schools have dress codes, the kids can adhere or face consequences. Im not picking out outfits for my 5th grader.

Pete, for the next MRI ask for it to be done in an OPEN MRI. So many people are claustrophobic, like myself, that they have open MRI machines. I had a MRI of the head with a cage over your face in a regular MRI....NEVER AGAIN, it’s like a freaking coffin.
Great cast today and laughed extra loud hearing laughter in the background 😂 Sebastian, after saying those sweatshirts with a strawberry and a burger were not you it’s great to seeing you look so smart/casually dressed 👍🏻Also, I have to say personally I think it’s important to actually be there from the start of the day for a 40th or 50th etc birthday. I’m with Sebastian it wouldn’t enter my head NOT to be there! I wouldn’t even ask, I would be like count me out this time I will go next time he’s only 50 once I can go any time. No, he’s AD/H/D! The MRI is a NIGHTMARE for those of us who have issues with impulsivity/obsessive-compulsive (OCD) tendencies ; in addition to sensory issues such as sensitivity to loud noises and claustrophobia… Those on the AD/H/D and/or Autism Spectrum should never be subjected to an MRI that is not “Open”!

The last time I had an MRI, many years ago, and l’ve probably still got a little bit of claustrophobia, I remember thinking, “please don’t let there be a power outage”. I’m in New York, so earthquakes are few and far between, but we do get power outages.
Correct, the insurance company will review your prior medical records for sure. They may look back 5 to 10 years for that. If you lie or hide any related detail they can rescind the policy later down the road after the policy is approved. You might get the premiums back but the policy will be canceled. Glad you spoke up.

Am claustrophobic and have had mucho mri's and CTscans....I carry a facecloth and use it. You will see it helps you get through it. Good luck and trust me. Hope it helps, Lord knows you guys help me with laughing and learning.
