I joined his fan club in 1963..what a treat to have an autographed picture come to my home all the way from Hollywood..never asked for one from ANY other actor/actress, not even James Cagney who (m) was the one i imitated the most..
Blimey ! What a wonderful tribute to one the screen's true icons ! Kudos to all those involved ! Well done indeed ! Thank you so much for sharing with us ! CHEERS ! :-)
I really think Boris's and Sara's birthday should be a legal holiday called Karloff Day. First of all, Boris was so much more than just playing the part of Frankenstein. Second of all, Sara Karloff always works so hard to keep her father's legacy alive! So yeah, they deserve for their birthday to be considered a holiday!
What a capital idea ! Like her father, Sara is so wonderfully kind & sweet ! A few years ago she sent me a personal thank you email years ago after I sent her a fan email about her dad. She told me her dad was a loving & devoted father. How kind of her to send that to me ! She's TOPS in my book !
we all adored him, and still do. I think of him every year on the second of February. it's very strange we're now coming up on the 50th anniversary of his death, but time burns, doesn't it?
I've really just gotten to know of Mr. Karloff through his television anthology series which I found here on RUclips. What a pleasure to discover what a fine, caring person he was with a deep sense of empathy and justice for others. I hope his estate benefits in some way from all of the money Universal continues to make from his likeness.
Amazing story, his work lives still to this day because of fans like us. Just wish i was born decades ago to have witnessed this in person 😢
He really was a humble man, wasn't he? Thanks for sharing this wonderful video with us.
Amen to that ! I am always impressed by what a kind, humble, gentle & sweet soul he was !
