  • For everyone that likes a super scrubby soap. This mechanic's soap is loaded with pumice powder and sand, yielding multiple levels of exfoliation. Because pumice can be drying and can also inhibit the lather of soap, this recipe is formulated with a high super fat and extra coconut oil to boost the bubbles. Which is a good thing. Because big bubbles rock.
    Watch on to see the best way to incorporate pumice sand and powder into soaps!

    Instant lunch… he thinks you’re a “snack” ohhh yeah baby!! Also, thank you for this video. I’m going to be making some mechanics soap for my boyfriend and brother for Christmas 🎄 but I never know just how much exfoliant to use. This video was amazing ❤️❤️❤️

    This will be perfect for my bicycle mechanic son who has asked me to do a soap for him! Wondering how much oil was in this batch you demo'd? You gave the pumice measures, but to what ratio of oils? I kept tryin g to see the size of your measure bowl, but couldn't quite catch that.
    Also just want to say that I LOVE your channel and YOU are AWESOME! Thank you for not just sharing but for also teaching so generously!

    That looks great. I would love to try your soap. You said a hilarious thing. " Mechanics wash their hands 3 times more than normal people." That is soooo funny.

      Hey! Welcome! Well, they do get dirtier than normal people. Whether or not they ACTUALLY wash it all off is a different story entirely, but they should. 😂

    Totally laughed at the shirt story... sounds like something my husband would do to me, lol. This soap is awesome!!! Do you have something along this theme for those god awful rough callused ugly feet??? A soap like this would be epic for pedicures!!! NOTE: I still have some binge watching to catch up on, so I have no idea if you do have a pedicure style soap or not at this point of my viewing.

    could not find this soap on your website ?

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  3 месяца назад

      Hey! It’s seasonal, so that makes sense. If you’re interested in it, you can always add any bulk soap listing on the site and specify what type of soap you’d like.

    I want some Mechanic soap, just like you made in this video. Do you sell it? It says your website is down for maintenance right now.

    Does pumice powder only for bar soap? Can it be use in gel type?

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  Год назад +1

      You can use in gel soap, but you’ll need to make sure your spout is large enough for the grains to go through or you’ll end up with clogs.

      @@MrsSoapAndClay thanks for the info... What if the powder gets clumped while I'm mixing? Do I have to mix it until it is well mixed with no clump?

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  Год назад +1

      I would definitely suspend it in glycerin before adding and make sure it’s well mixed, yes.

    What size pumice grit did you use? I have pumice powder that is super fine, almost like dust. I need something grittier but most sites call everything "pumice powder" regardless of the grit/mesh size

      So there’s a product specifically labeled pumice sand. I wanna say I got mine from brambleberry. Where are you finding pumice powder these days? I’ve been out for ages and miss it.

    • @CabbagePatchSoap

      @@MrsSoapAndClay I get the pumice powder from dental supply places, either from Ebay, Etsy, or directly from the dental supply companies. The grade I got was FFF which is very fine, but there is also FF and F which are very close in size. I looked up pumice sand and it comes in so many grain sizes, everything from near powder size to larger than grains of sand. I'll check Brambleberry and see if they have their size listed :) Thanks for the info!

    How long does a bar last on average? Assume usage as a shower bar.

    It would be cooler if you didn't keep saying men and mechanics interchangeably. I am a lady mechanic and I know a grip of others. It's not solely men.

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  2 года назад +2

      Oh you’re totally right! I’m actually a member of a tradeswomen chapter and fully recognize that anyone can be good with tools. This specific soap batch was requested for a mechanic that happens to be male, thus the running commentary. It’s not an exclusionary thing, here. 😂💀
