  • Today's video is my reaction to the video 'Growing number of Immigrants are deciding to leave Canada'. Canada has long billed itself as a promised land for immigrants from other countries. But a new report says for more and more new arrivals, that promise isn't being held up and they're moving on. In this video, I address the reasons why and how you can avoid being one of them.

This is the best video I have seen so far on the subject. There are others I call "I'm in Canada, don't come to Canada" videos. They are only interested in saying bad things and discouraging others from taking the trip.
Madam, you are so mature in your analysis and presentation. Your counsel at the end of each point is priceless. Thanks

Thank you for making this outstanding presentation. The inflation is global, the job market is getting tougher across the globe mainly due to urbanization plus people are becoming less contented becauses of the joneses. Here in Nigeria, insecurity continues to add salt to our injury. We pray for God's intervention.

I ignorantly left the US for Canada as Canada was over hyped on the internet. Getting here left me in shock as to what I’ve heard & watched on RUclips channels . Even with the right qualifications & experience one still cannot get the required job. Reason I think is because the job market here in Canada is so small as compared to the US which is like 24 times larger than that of Canada .
I ‘m just sad at coming in here . Leaving soon .

When it comes to giving jobs, ifound there's racial profiling in Canada. They will not say straight on your face but the message is obvious in many instances. I never faced racism in USA. This country was never job friendly to me ( inspite after getting a PH.d in Chemical Engineering, from Dalhousie University, in Halifax).

I'm approaching my 20th year in Canada, and I am looking forward to going back to the country of my birth in the short term. I've been living okay here, below my means. Just renting ever since, lucky to know people who offered reasonably low rents (less than a thousand) all these years. That helped me save. But I think I will be homeless a few years after I retire here because CPP and OAS won't really help that much 😊. All I am hoping for is good health.

The amount of effort I put in Nigeria to make ends meet, if I do that in a country like Canada, I'll definitely be okay.
I want to travel to Canada, get my masters in Manufacturing Engineering. I wouldn't mind if I'll start with blue collar job, it won't be permanent.
I'll secure Msc, do some certification in manufacturing such as lean sigma and compete with other nationals for jobs. I dont run away from competition. I do a whole lot to survive in Nigeria. I can survive anywhere.
Canada I'm coming. I'll just be needing enough money to secure accomodation for my family and pay for like four months, then I'll face the world and see whatever it brings. I dont expect eldorado. I came from a system that doesn't work.

Whenever I hear people saying employers want Canadian experience I see it as a way to legally decline applicants who aren’t Canadian or possibly do not have a PR already. It’s taken the Canadian government long enough to try to put a stop to it imo.

I migrated to Canada in early 1990, it was a time of recession.
the Canadian experience was a major obstacle with so many new emigrants.
Many young emigrants had failed to continue their educaation due to lack of recognition of the Canadian education system.
although, I managed to enroll into the tech schools or college, I left the country in early 2000.
its sad to see that the Canadian experience problem still exists.

Unfortunately if you thinking coming to Canada is NOT going to be easy think again, Canada is not receptors for immigrants looking for minimum wages employment , As the country if going through transformation in the labour market many company are looking for well qualified job seeker from all over the world with Master degree , engineering, Doctors scientist banker, investor, the quality of life in Canada is high ,and so is the cost of living
The minimum salary to afford to live in Vancouver o Toronto is about 90.000 a year combine for a couple ,this is just the minimum salary ,
For highly educated with credentials start at 85.000 for single person in the technology department, chemical engineer, computer scientists , aerospace engineering ,pilots etc
That’s why people are leaving Canada because is imposible to live here if you don’t have a job that pay well to live in any of these city’s
Unlike the USA, where the cheap labour market is more extensive and a big marker for manual work , but if you planning to come here make sure you bring with you lot of money , otherwise you could be sleeping in a tent , and never come in the winter unless you are a skier have fun

It’s also very easy to start your own business in the US also. Many immigrants pool their money together and start their own businesses instead of working for Americans. Example car shops, landscaping, restaurants, hair salons, cleaning services, home improvement, construction- just to name a few. I can tell you the most popular restaurants in my neighborhood are Mexican restaurants and they are always busy, meaning they are likely turning a good profit. These restaurants are run by first generation immigrants who speak broken English. No one cares because the food and margaritas are great. Plenty of Americans are also willing to pay cash under the table - regardless of your immigration status.

  • @user-vd1pl3zz4x

The reason that immigrants are leaving is because they are only using Canada as a stepping stone. Initially they may have wanted to migrate to the US, UK, Australia, etc. but were rejected. So they apply to go to Canada, get entry, stay for a few years, get citizenship and then leave for the country of their choice. I personally know people who did that. They applied to come to Australia, were rejected and went to Canada. They became Canadian citizens and this cleared the way for them to come to Australia. They are now in Australia.

She said Canadian citizens need to get priority to get local gas stations or fast food restaurants or super stores jobs, IT related jobs instead of international student.
international students after work drive fast and don't follow traffic rules.
Immigration Canada needs to check completer back ground ,every single Indian student or work permit visa holders. Some of them could be Indian secret services agents, they could be cause more trouble for Canadian citizens and Sikh

The question then is if immigrants really want to succeed in Canada why are their English language skills relatively poor? 2. Immigration rates in Canada are the highest in the world. The question then is if more immigrants are coming in why are we concerned when then the number of emigres also increases?

      1. To get PR or citizenship you need English or French proficiency. Maybe they should raise the level of fluency required. 2. It costs a lot of government resources to process PR and citizenship applications, immigrants tend to be higher educated, earn more, they make up for the low fertility rates and help support the welfare state so it makes sense to try to keep as many around as you can.

The taxes in Canada are outrageously astronomical and the government has been too slow to make many drastic changes. Canada is huge in land mass, but about 65% of the place is not habitable. Many intending immigrants are ignorantly optimistic about the place, and they're met with harsh reality of life upon arrival in Canada. Above all, I don't see how Canada would exist without U.S. I might be wrong, but I don't see anything attracting me to Canada.

Russian federation. belarussia. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, former soviet union countries mostly. thailand - these are only one sthat i know. I am from Uzbekistan now living in germany. In uzbekistan about 4-5 million people go abroad to work. But almost %100 of the population have their own houses, and they do not pay for their own houses, electiricity and heating is very cheap. in most cases when one person in a family works it is enough. when two people works you have no problem. Houses also cheap. In germany for example one man in average must work the whole life to buy a house/flat, and %50 percent of germans have no their wown houses. Even they have house they must pay high tax high electricity, heating and garbage, insurance costs. It is a slavery system. and when the economic sysytem in the west collapses, it collapses without any doubt, imagine more than 50-60% people turn to be homeless. Look at the health care system, transport system, different useless state financed projects, infrastructure and constructions. complicated educational system. they are very expensive and obselete. In my own country in uzbekistan the transport system is million times better than in germany. There in uzbekistan i lived in a village and almost in evry 10-15 minutes comes minibus, here in germny you must wait 1 hour, so ithe system forces you to buy a car, pay insurance and diffrerent taxes. another one is healthcare system, in germany almost you have no access to healthcare system because of the old people, strict working hours, they give you appoinmetts after one month even 2-3 months, drugstiores do not sell without doctor prescriptions. I lived in Bolivia, and there i visited the doctor not often, when i am ill i went to a drug store, i explain my problem and drugstore seller advised me medicament and i used it, of course in serious cases it is not good, but in average the people have comon illnesses as grippe, cold, sore throat, itching etc. for these things you do not need to go to a doctor. @@ThisSideOfLifeWisdom
