I might be confusing my Sonic games here, but I'm pretty sure that in Sonic Rush they're already friends, so measures have been taken so that they'd survive being killed by each other.
The thing that gets to me the most in the actual game is whether you had to fight Sonic or Blaze, they seem to have certain abilities that was only shown in the boss fight. I know Sonic Rush is essentially to "rush" to the end of the level but i would love to use those things on a normal level. It's still a good game though

After watching this video just only yesterday, I'm just wondering if Team Delusions is going to depict this scene in a similar fashion for Sonic Rush Retro. By the way Team Delusions is the gaming team behind the upcoming fan remake of Sonic Rush which will also be done in Classic Style. So for anyone whose watched this video will probably have the chance of meeting Blaze's Classic counterpart when Sonic Rush Retro comes out in the near future. :)
