    Thank you for this wonderful video! I just started NC this week after also doing a ton of research and I am very excited! My sister in law uses a similar method and no babies after her 5 years or more of marriage. I’m so happy women are being educated about this. It is scary at first for sure, I know I’m nervous but excited to be back to my normal self after two years on the pill😭😍😍😍

    It's amazing to finally see a doctor talk about NC!! Absolutely loved this video. I hope all the nay sayers actually do their research instead of making Ill-informed snap judgements though lol

    I'm disappointed in this video because a doctor should know natural cycle tracking isn't reliable if you get sick or if you don't have regular cycles. Please choose your sponsors more wisely

      Could not agree more. Not only is this just an ad but also a dangerous and misleading one. Tracking your body temperature as a form of contraception is not only NOT evidence based but also not effective. She should be reported to the GMC for this honestly - and just to earn a quick buck 😶

      Did you even watch the video? You do realise it's FDA and TGA approved right? And the only natural birth control that is. Maybe look more into it before making a snap judgement. It accounts for a lot of things including sickness, hangover, missed sleep etc. It's proven to be 98% effective with perfect use- pretty much the same stats as the pill. It's obviously not going to be for everyone especially those with irregular cycles but it doesn't claim to be for everyone. Also just because she's a doctor, it doesn't mean she can't believe in natural birth control and nowhere in this video does she push it on anyone at all. I have massive respect for her BC most doctors don't even tell people with a menstrual cycle that this is even an option. I've been off of hormonal birth control for over a year and haven't had a scare at all. Tracking your cycle actually teaches you so much about your body and you can learn your body's patterns and gain confidence in knowing your body. For some of us HBC isn't an option so it's amazing that something like this exists and it does indeed work for a lot of us.

      Firstly I have been using NC for a year before I was even approached by NC. Also, The app itself tells you that if you're sick then it affects the readings etc but hence its an algorithm and guess what? It tells you to use protection. Very simple. So what's not reliable about that?

      @@shanvee6180 It's not a quick buck when I have been using it for over a year and paid for it with my own money. I'm also not giving medical advice I am sharing my experience and telling you to make your own decision. The GMC doesn't strike people off for that. Lastly it's literally scientific and there is clinical research to back it up so i honestly don't know what you are talking about.

    Hi Nellah please help,
    I’m a nurse that does irregular shift patterns so I can’t track at the same time everyday. What should I do?

      I’m actually not sure about this one. I think it’s best to follow the natural cycles page and message them there I’m sure they have a perfect solution to that x

    This video is beautiful and helpful, in so many ways. 2 questions:
    About the temperature related birth control, and ovulation, since your (as a female) body temp raises before ovulation starts, do you and other females feel feverish at that time?
    #2- What part of Africa are you and your boyfriend/ husband from? Nigeria? Liberia? What? :-)

    • @Dr.Nellah
      @Dr.Nellah  2 года назад

      The temperature rise is not upto fever levels. It’s still within normal range :) it’s just a slight change but measurable :)
