Mawkzy seemed to controle the whole game, his 50 50s basically always went his ways and he was a snap bit quicker in decision making and planning his plays. Insane, because when you watch Jack play its very rare to see him being outplayed this badly. Mawkzyy really is number 1 for a reason in 1s.
Mawkzy's a main 1s player so it's hard to deal with him, his playstyle looks like he's closer to a chess player than a RL pro lol 👍 it must be very frustrating to play against him 🔥 thanks for sharing jack !
It looks like Mawkzy is managing his speed and pathing much better in this video, but I think Jack needs a bit more grind and less "fakey/reacty" playstyle, and he can go back to winning majority of games vs mawkzy. I feel like Jack's kind of playing a different style when he's recording and talking, and conceding a few goals because he's trying to speak rather than play. Jack could really just look at mawkzy's playstyle right now and remind himself because it's a good style for jack as well, and jack has sunken a bit into the "flakes" playstyle with lower speed and more "punishing mistakes" which works more against lower rated opponents. All of this is speculation of course :) but speedy jack is actually a beast and right now mawkzy's captializing on jack's slowness and just bumping him around and beating him and getting free challenges
@@Exsulator2Mawkzy's incredibly good at reading players mind, and playing with their mental. Most of the time by breaking the pace of the game, backing up and trying to keep the ball for the longest time possible by making his opponents starve (so they commit and make mistakes because they lost patience). He then has a less impressive or "conventional" gameplay compared to any pro play style (and that's probably why he gets frequently trash talked by his opponents by the way), but I think it's also to cover a bit of his lack of mechanics or options he can use since he's not pro and doesn't give himself enough time to grind or train a lot. Still one of the best ways to dominate 1s ladder in his own way, a very underrated player imo
@@iSys31 ah I see you're a bit new to RL, let me introduce you to the concept of "maining", so basically pros in this game plays a mode called 3s because thats where big events are centered around, where 3v3 players play together, and this mode if famously very different than 1s in many ways. With this time opening up to grind the mode again, it's expected Jack (and others now grinding 1s more) will gradually get into a much better form, and ultimately people like mawkzy is riding an "inflated" rank due to a small talent pool in the 1s mode, is expected to lose more games as the more skilled players get warm in the 1s mode. Yeah, there really wasn't much "I'm just gonna take the shot and grab his boost" to starve out Mawkzy this video right? We all have those days where we can't really identify why in the moment, but we're just not performing very well, and this seems to have been one of those days for Jack. I respect him for still uploading and such, cause it is interesting and valuable for the community to see a pro both lose and be a good sport about it, contrary to so many of the players in the community
Jack you were and you are always good at analyzing your opponents during games but u were bad at it you just kept faking on offense and insta challenging at defense isn’t working against mawkzy so you only need to play it slower on defense and more air plays and more flicking, he is so good but you made it easy for him

(Am not better that jack) but jack tried to force the fake everytime when he could’ve flicked or something (even when he had full boost and mawkzy was on zero) it felt like he was tunneled visioned on the fake so much that he stopped considering other options
i always watch mawkzy play, so i mainly support him, and it's my first time watching ApparentlyJack, and he actually is so kindd, so it's broking my heart seeing him looseee
Also another reason why mawkzy may be winning is the fact that Jack is recording and COMMENTATING his own game play Live which is insane. Being able to constsantly talk and still play at this level??? Big brain.
Just to add that Mawkzy was not only streaming this as well, but he had several friends in his room trying to distract him the entire time by slapping him, removing his headset, spraying him with water etc.
1:47 - 1:50 Small insight on this short exchange. Jack's spacing looks aggressive. He's threatening Mawkzy. A truly aggressive move is available because Mawkzy has loose possession and a good challenge could snatch the ball away from him. On the other hand a conservative play from Jack would pull him back to his own goal line. If Jack was slightly less aggressively spaced he'd be in no man's land, giving Mawkzy an opportunity to speed the play up and open Jack's net. Jack's displaying a high level of patience and fortitude to stay close and intimidate without challenging the ball on Mawkzy's line.
As far as im concerned Mawkzy has such well developed ball controll and vision, that there is no reason at all he should not be on an RLCS team. the 1s heavy dignitas with jack, skrub and joreus proved that you "could" make a team out of 1s players and score good results. he plays 1s. His skillset is entirely aimed at being the best 1s player he can be. He'd have to develop other areas of his game, both mechanically and the gamesense (and also the mental, he seems to talk a lot on twitter whether he's winning or losing) in order to be as good at 3v3.
