    Those who expect him to hit triple flip reset musty double tap every game have surface level understanding of the game. He has shown plenty of that so called 'mechanical' skillset in his 1v1 play, what's truly impressive about him is knowing the difference between playing for the team and playing for the clips. The real mechanics are the subtle ones Jack mentioned like recovery, 0 boost play, speed generation, and just overall game sense which players like him and Vatira demonstrates in spades.

    The thing about having a mechanical beast as 3rd man is not just solid defense, but also that the lastman is uniquely able to pick his moment for when he comitts for an aerial attack, so it makes sense that the one person on the team who's most likely to succeed, should also be given the best chances to score. Furthermore, I've noticed that "the better player" on a team will risk getting let down by his mates if he's upfield when the enemy is counter attacking, or even just creating a golden opportunity to score but getting let down by slumpy mates. Like some says "It's easier to carry from below"

    • @felixmerz6229
      @felixmerz6229 Год назад +4

      Last man is by definition the player with the most space available, it's great to have a mechanical 3rd who can make huge solo plays, because then you can force plays and open space for him.

    • @Exsulator2
      @Exsulator2 Год назад +1

      @@felixmerz6229 Exactly, and I think if you have a player excel at positioning and strategy, they should definetly be second man / midfield, because 2nd man get a lot of opportunities to take the result of 1stman's work to gain possession and setup the teamplays

      No, it is not a matter of time as much as it is a matter of the combination of 2 things - training the correct ways, and meta-mindset or meta thought process. There are countless people in every profession or competitive skill who put 10000 or 20000 or even 30000 hours and are barely above average. In contrast, world class pros in every field have a training regime and a meta thought process that is better than everyone else's in the world, as well as more time spent. By meta thought process I mean things that encourage growth, for example thinking about what you can't do instead of being proud of what you can do...albert Einstein has some good things to say about meta thought processes btw, and accredits the imaginative meta thought process as the reason for anywhere that a field gets advanced to a new original level of greatness. Einstein says that imagination can be cultivated by a several techniques that he recommends that i forgot, but one includes finding beauty in the most simple mundane things, another is a tendency to question all convention, and others i forgot but probably along the same lines...Time spent is very important but it is secondary. It is not what separates world class players from decent players. Almost all competitive players grind many hours and some dominantly prevail over others. Why? Because of superior training regimens and because of a meta thought process and psychology (both in the training process and in the competitive play) that induces more efficient development of mastery.
